@HottLemonade2886 2-3 more days of stims. Re says to expect poorer quality in most cases. The whole point was for more eggs. Apparently i produce only 1 ovary worth of eggs. Period.

Hey! I think I'm supposed to be in this group! Egg Retrieval should be end of march! We are doing a FET so not sure when transfer will be!
i got my meds locally at Todds pharmacy in Denver. They were similar pricing to Freedom pharmacy which I've heard is cheapest but they let me sell back at 100% any unused meds so I decided to pay a bit more. I'm currently on doxy and waiting to start testing for my LH surge and then I'll start my estrogen patches.
Me- 30 DH- 31 Mild endo 3 IUI's, Responded "too well" to meds, almost missed ovulation twice and 3rd IUI canceled due to missing it. IVF March/April 2017

@rainbowwishes5 - So are you going to stop stimming for this retrieval and just focus on next month or still go through with it and see what you get? My clinic does both but since I want PGS we are doing frozen which I'm good with since it gives me a little time to recover. I just hope its not a super long wait between ER and FET. How long was it between your first ER and FET?
@rainbowwishes5 -hey, I might be in a similar boat...not sure yet. I actually was born with one ovary! ugh...so I may end up doing more rounds...who knows. My dr. mentioned "banking embryos." He said if I wanted that I could do two stim cycles back to back to have more embryos. I'm not doing that this cycle because I did two frozen (one failed, one cp) in Oct. and Nov. I want to try a fresh this time around and hope to have extra to freeze. I'm annoyed because they had me on Gonal-F 150...well, when I met with the dr. before this cycle he agreed to up the meds (I asked if this was a possibility) in hopes of getting more eggs since I have one ovary. I didn't do too bad last time...13 eggs, 10 mature, 7 fertilized.

ER went really smoothy. They were able to get 31 eggs!! I thought I heard the doctor wrong. it was crazy. out of that they got 17 fertilized. I go in Saturday for the transfer. Today my stomach is super bloated though. Trying to drink as much gatorade as possible & just lay down. If anyone has any other tips or tricks it would be greatly appreciated
@famiylgrl86 - 31 eggs?! holy hell, that's awesome, especially with 17 fertilized! Good luck with the bloating...hopefully you'll feel better soon FX for lots of high quality embryos!

After 3 days of stims, had my appointment this morning!
My ovaries are rock stars and have a bunch follicles growing (more than 8 on each side).
The even better news is that....my endometrial thickness finally went down! It is the first time in 7 years that the lining wasn't above 1.0! Even during my period, it remains about 1.5. This is such good news! It means my lining might finally be responding correctly to hormones!
I had a tiny bit of fluid in my endometrial cavity but they said it will most likely clear out in the next few days.
They have upped my dosage just a bit:
250 mg follistim and 8 units hCG everyday till Thursday afternoon.

@caseyw8784 we are total cycle buddies! I had blood done yesterday, I'm continuing meds (dreaded day 4), will have blood tomorrow and then U/S Friday.
Day 4: this is when the "injection fog" starts to take over. I am here, but no one is home! I'm having pretty severe headaches (I don't recall that from last time) and bad diarrhea. I am feeling more energy and less bloat than last time but I'm not doing Lupron, so maybe that was causing me more severe symptoms. I'll probably start Garnilix Friday so I'm sure that will not be pleasant!
Friday plan is ultrasound. I have to admit I am nervous - last IVF cycle this is the appointment that they said I only had one follicle. I am trying to meditate and give myself positive affirmations that my body is accepting the drugs it needs to grow all follicles the same. The meditation actually says that!!! I seriously thought I was fine - the past was the past and I moved on. My plan today is to get my mind off it - I'm going shopping! #ivfvacation!

AFM, had blood drawn this morning. Just got the call that my estradiol level was 70, so they want me to increase gonal-f to 225. Also, I'm starting 75 iu of menopur tonight, and on friday night will start 0.25mg cetrotide. Saturday morning I got back for blood and ultrasound to see how the ovaries are responding!

I went for blood/ ultrasound today. Seems like I am getting close to ER. A lot can happen in two days...I only have a left ovary, so I am pleased with the results. Two days ago I had 3 follicles over 10mm. Today I have 7 follicles over 10mm...one is 17.3. I have 4 smaller ones. It's all about quality though...so hoping there are some good ones.
I am planning to do a 5 day transfer. What does everyone think about 3 day vs. 5 day?

happy hump day! night 4 of stims. added in menopur. had read online that if you mix it, and then let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then it shouldn't burn as bad. i also iced my tummy, so didn't feel the needle going in. It burned a little, but wasn't bad. headache is becoming more substantial now, blah.
Upped my gonal-f to 225. did a quick inventory, and have enough pens for 4 more days. at what point did you all order more meds, if/when needed and did the pharmacies overnight them to you?

@HottLemonade2886 seriously, bandaids make this tolerable for me haha! My nurse was like... um, do you 'need' them after your shots? I think she was worried I was bleeding but I told her it is really just so I feel accomplished and giggle whenever I lift my shirt

Fx that I have more measurable follies. Bunches there but won't give me numbers that aren't over 11 (their measurable benchmark I guess)...
AFM, my headaches started on day 5... and Ive been on much higher doses than you ladies (300 Gonal f, 250 cetrotide and 4amps of Meno!) but I'm hydrating like a crazy person and getting 8-9 hours a night. Meditating and visualization before bed seems to really help my stress and the headaches really don't kick in until the evening for me... (maybe the Gonal versus the Meno?) Tomorrow I have to head to Freedom for more meds (hopefully the nurses will have a good timeframe so Im not over/under buying!)
Interestingly, tonight I iced one side of my belly and then injected on the other (space case...) but it didn't hurt like most have lately AND it didn't burn at all (which the Menopur usually does!) I was pleasantly surprised to say the least!
The headaches were awful from day 1 from me with follistim. But my estrogen shot up to over 2500 by day 4 so that's probably why. Tiny amounts of caffeine work best for hormone headaches. Just avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen
sadly, estrogen prepping for my FET has brought them back full force finally. I do not miss this part.

I just had another US this morning and I have an appointment this afternoon to go over some questions and hopefully get a little more feedback on how things are going so far! I made myself bleed for the first time last night when I gave my Menopur shot! I wished I had a minions bandaid! Now I have a little bruise- I think I went too close to my belly button. I might try my thighs tonight.

Day 4: this is when the "injection fog" starts to take over. I am here, but no one is home! I'm having pretty severe headaches (I don't recall that from last time) and bad diarrhea. I am feeling more energy and less bloat than last time but I'm not doing Lupron, so maybe that was causing me more severe symptoms. I'll probably start Garnilix Friday so I'm sure that will not be pleasant!
Friday plan is ultrasound. I have to admit I am nervous - last IVF cycle this is the appointment that they said I only had one follicle. I am trying to meditate and give myself positive affirmations that my body is accepting the drugs it needs to grow all follicles the same. The meditation actually says that!!! I seriously thought I was fine - the past was the past and I moved on. My plan today is to get my mind off it - I'm going shopping! #ivfvacation!

AFM, had blood drawn this morning. Just got the call that my estradiol level was 70, so they want me to increase gonal-f to 225. Also, I'm starting 75 iu of menopur tonight, and on friday night will start 0.25mg cetrotide. Saturday morning I got back for blood and ultrasound to see how the ovaries are responding!
I went for blood/ ultrasound today. Seems like I am getting close to ER. A lot can happen in two days...I only have a left ovary, so I am pleased with the results. Two days ago I had 3 follicles over 10mm. Today I have 7 follicles over 10mm...one is 17.3. I have 4 smaller ones. It's all about quality though...so hoping there are some good ones.
I am planning to do a 5 day transfer. What does everyone think about 3 day vs. 5 day?

Upped my gonal-f to 225. did a quick inventory, and have enough pens for 4 more days. at what point did you all order more meds, if/when needed and did the pharmacies overnight them to you?

AFM, go in for ultrasound #2 and more bloodwork tomorrow morning. I also get to add Cetrotide back in to the mix in the morning... up to 3 shots a day EEEEEEEEEEK!
AFM, my headaches started on day 5... and Ive been on much higher doses than you ladies (300 Gonal f, 250 cetrotide and 4amps of Meno!) but I'm hydrating like a crazy person and getting 8-9 hours a night. Meditating and visualization before bed seems to really help my stress and the headaches really don't kick in until the evening for me... (maybe the Gonal versus the Meno?) Tomorrow I have to head to Freedom for more meds (hopefully the nurses will have a good timeframe so Im not over/under buying!)
Interestingly, tonight I iced one side of my belly and then injected on the other (space case...) but it didn't hurt like most have lately AND it didn't burn at all (which the Menopur usually does!) I was pleasantly surprised to say the least!
sadly, estrogen prepping for my FET has brought them back full force finally. I do not miss this part.
