Re: Fit Mama Check-In: Feb 27

  • 1: How far along are you/weeks left to go? 37 weeks and 2 days today.

2: What are your goals for the week ahead
? Goals this week are to (weather permitting) walk the dog 30 minutes each day, try to get in general stretching most days plus some body weight squats, and yoga on Thursday. I was also given a free yoga class pass for my birthday from my yoga studio, so I may try to do an extra yoga class on Saturday as well (assuming I"m still pregnant, which it's looking like I probably will be, ha ha). Basically though, I'm just going to play each day by ear until the baby comes.

3: How was last week? Last week was good! I hit 10k steps every day except for two (so I averaged walking 4 miles a day most days). Yoga on Thursday was really nice. It was nice having energy back, and I also did loads of cleaning and organising around the apartment.

4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?
? Same as last week... basically just slowing down and not overdoing it. Playing each day by ear based on what I feel like I need.

5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments
! I celebrated WAY too much with junk food over the weekend. Going to try to "treat" myself this week by getting back on the healthy food train. I mean... I DID have a piece of birthday cake for breakfast... but I'm going to eat healthy the rest of the day, ha ha.

    6:
Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? Just glad I'm feeling more energetic the last week. Trying really hard to stay cheery and focus on the positive. Although I'm not really uncomfortable, I'm finding I can easily get drawn down into the "I'm sick of being pregnant" hole. I know eventually I'll miss the feeling of having LO inside me, so trying to embrace it when I can.

7: getting a little ahead of myself... but anyone have Post Partum workout plans yet? Programs you want to do? Or goals you have set?
? Been thinking about this lately myself. At the park around the corner from me a woman runs a Mommy and Me pilates class I'd like to join once I'm cleared to exercise again. i'm thinking about setting up a meeting with a personal trainer once I'm allowed to get back into the gym to work out a plan to rebuild the pelvic floor and abs, in addition to rebuilding strength in general. I've heard of people rushing back too hard too quick and getting injured, so I'm happy to take my time in terms of difficulty, but definitely want to get moving as soon as I'm allowed. The only hard part is figuring out what I'm going to do about child care to make it to the gym.

8: GTKY: What's your first name!? (I'd like to at least attempt to know each of you by more than a screen name!)) history behind your name? Why your parents picked it?/nicknames you've had?  My first name is Nicole (although I go by Nikki). My family's origin is originally french, so my mom wanted a frenchy name. I always went by Nikki from the time I was young mostly because I wanted control over my own name (I can be a control freak sometimes, ha ha). But it turns out Nikki tends to fit my personality better than Nicole does anyway. I always go by Nicole at work and Nikki with friends. DH goes through phases where sometimes he calls me "Nick" and sometimes he calls me "Nicole". But those are the only nicknames I've ever had.

8: challenge chatter---> How's it going?  Yeah.... I totally forgot about the challenge and haven't done any of it, ha ha.

@npaulie is it weird/creepy I thought your name might be Nicole the last few weeks? haha I was thinking "her name has to start with an N because of her screen name, she should be a Nicole!" :) That's awesome you got a free yoga class for your bday! and glad you got to indulge in yummy food over the last couple days, I wish I could have chocolate cake for breakfast too over here today!

1: How far along are you/weeks left to go
? 36 weeks tomorrow!!! Hoping baby stays in at least another week to be considered "early-term" (after finding out last night the average time is 36.5 weeks for someone with a cervix length like I have I've been spooked)

2: What are your goals for the week ahead
? 3 days of yoga "workouts" - hopefully/probably 4. And normal activity of walking my dog/cleaning/etc. but trying not to overdo anything. Baby-getting-ready-goals: finish packing my hospital bags (need to throw in some snacks and do a final check to make sure we're ready to go) and finally put up the valance in baby's room.

3: How was last week? Good. I'm shocked I wrote that lol. Despite my cold & feeling in pain I still managed to get 4 days with some solid activity in.

4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?
? So idk what's with this kid but he just loves to be wedged under my left rib area and the pain is for real. Every morning especially he makes his way up there and the rest of the day it's constant kicking/punching like crazy lately, my belly seems to always be moving! Doesn't he ever sleep anymore??

5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments
! I got a prenatal massage on Saturday thanks to Groupon and it was great (although I would've enjoyed it even more if I wasn't sneezing/stuffy the whole time haha) I'd like to take an Epsom salt bath today too - it's been over a month since I last took one of those.

    6:
Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? Rave: I'm proud of myself for finishing my homework assignment and actually doing what I think was an A-worthy job on it...21 pages submitted last night at a decent time so I was able to get in bed around 10. Even though I woke up a few times throughout the night I got a lot more sleep than I have been able to the last several nights so that was good. :)

7: getting a little ahead of myself... but anyone have Post Partum workout plans yet? Programs you want to do? Or goals you have set?
? I can't wait to start running again!! As soon as my doctor says it's ok for me to I intend to start running 5+ miles a few times a week again. Also looking forward to trying out some new "real" workout videos online vs. just the prenatal ones.

8: GTKY: What's your first name!? (I'd like to at least attempt to know each of you by more than a screen name!)) history behind your name? Why your parents picked it?/nicknames you've had?  : Brittany. My parents named me after Brittany the Chipette (from Alvin and the Chipmunks) I was supposed to be a Caitlyn (not sure what version of spelling) but a couple of cousins were named Katie/Catherine and my parents thought it'd be too similar so they discovered my name by watching cartoons & went that route. A lot of people call me Brit, and for whatever reason I like Brit but not Britt haha

8: challenge chatter---> How's it going? Skipped more days than I actually did for the dips last week, hoping to do them all this week!

  • @serenity13 well, in fairness there aren't that many female names that start with "N", haha. Totally not weird at all :)

  • 1: How far along are you/weeks left to go? 41wks 1day! (Oh my head! Never thought I'd still be checking in with an inside baby this week!!)

2: What are your goals for the week ahead
    ? Have a baby! ;) hahah

30min Zumba video this morning to have fun and move with some pep and positivity!

3: How was last week? Decent considering. A few partial workout videos, lots of walking with DD since it's warmed up a little, and shoveling.

5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments
! Been eating lots of treats without guilt!

    6:
Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? Guess the main thing on my mind is just wondering when the heck this baby is gonna arrive!? It feels like it's never going to happen.. even though each day that passes means it's even MORE likely that today will be the day

7: getting a little ahead of myself... but anyone have Post Partum workout plans yet? Programs you want to do? Or goals you have set?
? I'm excited to start postpartum workouts!! Want to focus first on diet before pushing fitness and let my body have a break.  Planning to go sugar free again.  And excited about working to find a time each day in the crazy schedule of having two kids under two to get my daily workouts in!
AND SO SO SO SO pumped about running again once the snow and cold is all gone!! Eee!!

8: GTKY: What's your first name!? (I'd like to at least attempt to know each of you by more than a screen name!)) history behind your name? Why your parents picked it?/nicknames you've had?  : My name is Kelsie!! Spelled with an IE instead of EY because my grandmother was "Elsie" . My parents wanted to name me Elsie also, but my grandmother insisted that Elsie is a cows name and so they added the K!
Most friends just shorten to Kels.  My user name is an old sign in that was assigned me in college with my maiden name initials and random numbers
  • @npaulie : Nikki! Cake for breakfast sounds like a glorious idea! ...guilty of totally having pie for breakfast yesterday!!
Mommy and me claas sounds like a great option! And a fun way to meet other moms!
the "I'm still pregnant hole" is the worst! Keep up the positivity mama! It's all about the mindset. I know personally the days I just choose to be positive about it are so so much better than when I let myself throw a pity party. Keep up the good work!

@serenity13 : Brit! I'm glad you had a good week despite your cold! 4 days of solid activity is awesome!
and congrats on finishing your paper, feeling good about it AND getting sleep! I'm so impressed by you doing school while pregnant/I really can't even imagine that ontop of everything!
  • 1: How far along are you/weeks left to go? 36 weeks tomorrow. That means 3 weeks until c-section unless this little peanut does some acrobatic moves.

2: What are your goals for the week ahead
? 2 crossfit workouts (today and tomorrow) and 1 strength/cardio workout at home.

3: How was last week? It was ok. I went to crossfit 2x and went for a walk. With my LO breech I have been pretty uncomfortable. His head pokes way high up when he stretches and his feet are down over my bladder so I feel like he's about to just pop out at any second. I swear when he starts kicking I half expect to find a foot hanging out down there, haha! I spent a few days just really achy in my belly from all his movements but otherwise was able to do the 17.1 workout! Picture to prove it below!

4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?
? Just continuing to take each day as it comes. Never know how I'm going to feel until the day is upon me so just allowing myself to rest if I need to or to change plans.

5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments
! Went out for an early b-day dinner on Sat night and I had PASTA and gelato... soo good!!!! And I had a half a glass of wine at dinner and even thought I took 2 hrs to drink it, it was so nice!

    6:
Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? Just looking forward to my now weekly appointments, still holding out hope this little guy flips, but as I mentioned last week, also totally ok with a c-section if that's what's needed. I have an ultrasound on Wednesday.

7: getting a little ahead of myself... but anyone have Post Partum workout plans yet? Programs you want to do? Or goals you have set?
? I am going to get back to it by focusing on running. A few years ago, when I wasn't sure if I'd ever get pregnant, I made a plan to run the Boston marathon the year I turned 40. Well, that race is in a few weeks, so it's not happening this year, haha - but I thought a long term goal (race is mid April 2018) for getting back into running and fitness post-partum would be to restart my training schedule. I've trained myself and worked with a trainer before so I have a solid plan. My best marathon time is 4:05 and I'm shooting for 3:50 on the Boston course next year so I'm training for a 3:45 time with some wiggle room. DH has already agreed to be on baby duty once I get to the long runs on Sundays. My plan trains up to 22 miles at the longest training run. It means training through the winter here in the northeast but I've done that before for a May marathon. It also means LO will be 1 year old and I want to see his little face with his dad on heartbreak hill at mile 16!! I will do crossfit to supplement, but focus on running. Of course it all depends how I feel post partum but that's the plan!

8: GTKY: What's your first name!? (I'd like to at least attempt to know each of you by more than a screen name!)) history behind your name? Why your parents picked it?/nicknames you've had?  : I bet you guys will be surprised haha but my name is... JENNY!  Ha, my screenname is not that inventive. Interestingly I am not a Jennifer though, I'm just a Jenny. Most people call me Jenny but DH and close family call me Jen. I get so irrationally mad when people assume my name is Jennifer! My grandmother's name was Maria Giovanna, nickname Jenny. So I am named after her nickname!

8: challenge chatter---> How's it going?  I've been dipping on and off!! I'm behind though!

  • @jenny0228 4:05 marathon time?! Kudos to you, that's amazing!!! My sprint pace is like an 8 min mile. And even then that's on a good day, haha.

@kjd291 I laughed at your grandmas comment that Elsie is a cows name. Hahahaha!!! That sounds like something my grandmother would say.

@jenny0228 - Jenny: hah! It would have been funny if your name actually was something super different! I can imagine you've spent most of your life with ppl just assuming your a Jennifer :/ which IS annoying!
Love the picture! Nice job with the workout!!
early birthday dinner and treats sound like they were great!! Any other birthday plans!?
i LOVE your game plan for running another marathon! I hope we can keep this group together so we can encourage you in your training and see you finish!  It's SO motivating to have a LO watching you achieve your fitness goals. I also have that dream picture of DH and babes holding a sign for "mama" as I cross many finish lines to come!
  • Love seeing everyone's real names!! :)

@npaulie YES to cake for breakfast! That's the best!! As for a personal trainer and child care post-partum, have you thought about trying to find a virtual trainer? I know it wouldn't be quite the same, but maybe could work if you find someone good? Your bday celebration looked so fun!! Welcome to the 30's! I'm only a member one more day! ;)

@serenity13 - 21 pages?! Wow! You are so motivated! So glad you got a prenatal massage to treat yourself, you deserve it!

@kjd291 - keeping my fingers crossed for you that your little lady is coming soon!!! You have such a positive attitude - and the fact that you are still considering some workouts this week is truly amazing. Every time I check in here I hope to see your name in the announcement thread!
  • Thanks ladies! I hope we can keep the group together as well - I know I will definitely need encouragement once I'm ready to get back to it. I love that so many of us are runners, too!!  <3

I don't have too many other bday plans for tomorrow - just DH making dinner. To be honest after two baby showers, (three including one at work) I feel like people have been celebrating me non-stop, haha! I'm ready to go quietly into my 40's since I'm looking forward to my little guy's birthday with much more anticipation!! ;)

Can't wait to get my body back!! Yes, belly... but also butt and legs!
  • My Fitness Momma friends are such hotties !!!! Looking fab @jenny0228 & @kjd291 !!!!
  • And @kjd291 are you wearing the same sports bra at 41 weeks that you were wearing at 8 weeks???? If so, I am BEYOND jealous!!!!!!!! All of my sports bras from back then literally cut off my breathing!!!!!

@triwellnessgirl haha. yes BUT it's only because that's one of the awesome new bras I bought to wear for extra support while working out and nursing post-baby #1!!  No way I'd fit in my pre-any-baby bras! Hah. My boobs got big during pregnancy but HUGE while nursing. Plus gah- ribcage space while pregnant is so annoying!

    And no!! I hadn't seen that!!?! :(
  • @kjd291 - looking AWESOME at 41 weeks mama! You'll be back in no time!! Plus, you've done it already once before!!

1: How far along you / weeks to go?
Today I am 38 weeks + 4 days!! We've got 10 days until DUE DATE!!!

2: What are your goals for the week ahead
? Well, I've been having a really tough time sleeping these last 4 days or so......Needless to say, I didn't make it to CrossFit this morning, and I am still in my PJs! But here's what I'll shoot for:
    TUES: Cardio / Weight Training
    WED: CrossFit / Cardio
    FRI: CrossFit / Cardio

3: How was last week? It was pretty good. I did 2 CrossFit workouts, 3 cardio workouts, and 1 strength training workout

4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?
? Just more of the same. Moving. A little easier though, now that the heartburn is almost gone!!!!

5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments
! I think this week will be lots of rest..... laying on the couch watching Baby go nuts in my belly!!! I can't get over how crazy Baby gets in there still.

    6:
Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms? We wrapped up our 10 week Bradley Method class yesterday. Feels so nuts that we are "here". Really enjoyed taking those classes with him. PS.... Things with Hubby have been amazing for some time now. Remember a while back when I shared that I felt very disconnected from him? Well we really worked through our issues and are at an incredible place. Praise God! Now if only his daughter would have a change of heart...... She has told him that she wants to meet her sibling and be in his/her life, but maintains her stance of not wanting a relationship with us.... how would that ever work??? And this past week her mom called Hubby to discuss things and actually told him that she hopes we do not have a girl because if we do it'll push his daughter over the edge.... i mean, really?????

7: getting a little ahead of myself... but anyone have Post Partum workout plans yet? Programs you want to do? Or goals you have set?
? I am planning on signing up for the Birthfit post partum program, as well as a 12 week nutritional program through my work.

8: GTKY: What's your first name!? (I'd like to at least attempt to know each of you by more than a screen name!)) history behind your name? Why your parents picked it?/nicknames you've had?  : My first name is ..... Magda :) My parents got it from a brazilian soap opera (although my name is originally arabic / middle eastern, it means 'glory" and then became popular in eastern europe; I am portuguese) My brother's name is Fabio. My parents like original names, LOL....
People always ask if my name is short for Magdalena. It's not, but I've always wished it was. And my nicknames are Maggie and Mags. People tend to mess up and call me Magna more often than not, which I can't stand!
  • @serenity13 good job on your assignment!! And still went to bed at a reasonable hour?!! Super impressive! I have one last class to finish my first masters (I'm working on a dual) I am not looking fwd to the next class that starts while wrangling 2 babies! I'm sure I'm going to look at a lot of late Sunday nights!

    Looking great @jenny0228 & @kjd291 !!!!

1: How far along are you/weeks left to go?

    39w1d

2: What are your goals for the week ahead
    ?

Take it easy and not eat too many of the snacks I've bought for the birth team... I mean... strech and rest! ;-) I wanted to go to stroller strides again but my hip is still hurting and I'm still.not sure how I did it so I've decided it's time to rest. Still enjoying the weather though and have been playing with DS at least 3 hours a day so I'm still movin' at least!

    3: How was last week?

I'm going to miss stroller strides soo much while on recovery. There was a mom there last week that was 4weeks PP. Kinda motivating. Hoping all goes well with this birth so that I can get out and about soonest!

4: Any new challenges or needed modifications you want to share?
    ?

Compression socks  - game changer at this stage! Seriosuly I was on my feet all day Sunday and it wasn't terrible at all!

5: How are/have you treated your self? Celebrate your body and its accomplishments
    !

Finally got a bath without DS for the first time in a while. It was nice. I HAD a haircut and ped scheduled but DH worked all weekend. So I'm hoping to reschedule. And BOY do I need to get these eyebrows addressed asap!

    6:
    Questions, Concerns, Rants, Raves, Randoms?

    Random-
I've decided it wold be cool to go into labor today or next monday for the most random reason you've ever heard -

DH, DS and I were all born on a Tuesday! How in the world do I know this you ask... let's just say I look fwd to hearing the random things you google during the upcoming 230 am feedings! Hahaha

7: getting a little ahead of myself... but anyone have Post Partum workout plans yet? Programs you want to do? Or goals you have set?
    ?

So as you can see from my compression sock selection of the day.... I am looking forward to my first PP Ragnar. Though the 2017 one in my area is unrealistic it will be 2018 for sure. Which will be good bc by then I'llbe comfortable with the grandparents Watching the kiddos.

In the mean time I plan to do Body Back by Fit4mom. It's a whole program (below is from the website) but it's with an amazing group of ladies and I that I think will be a great reset..so hopefully do that this summer.

...all-inclusive program that combines twice-weekly small group classes of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with at-home workouts, meal plans and a food diary, online coaching, and "before and after" fitness assessments/measurements.

8: GTKY: What's your first name!? (I'd like to at least attempt to know each of you by more than a screen name!)) history behind your name? Why your parents picked it?/nicknames you've had?

Tabitha! My mom swore it wasnt from Bewitched but anyone over the age of 50 that meets me asks me if I can wiggle my nose! :-) really wish I could - that would seriosuly throw them off! :-)

As a kid I went by Tabby and HATE that now.

As an adult I don't like when people shorten my name - Tab is the most common. Makes me think of the soda lol

And vino831 - pretty straightforward. I love wine! :-D We'll I say that assuming most people know that 831 is "I love you":

    8 letters, 3 words, 1 meaning

    8: challenge chatter---> How's it going?
I'm keeping up when I remember at this point!

Haha.... ok.... that earlier post by knottie143.... is ME!!! I guess I have 2 different bump accounts and forgot! I logged in through my hubby's iPad and used my usual email / password for social media (rather than on my iPhone like I usually do).... didnt realize it's actually not my Triwellnessgirl bump account. How funny. I set up an account when we got pregnant our first time last year, that must be what that Knottie143... account is. But it's me!! :)
  • I was gonna say: I got confused cuz I knew that was you! .@triwellnessgirl
Magda is pretty! Never heard that name before-but I really like it!
I'm so glad that things worked out and you feel close to your hubs! But so so sorry to hear things are still strained with your step-daughter :[ I really hope once your LO is here (boy or girl) you will all be pleasantly surprised by how she warms up to the idea of a little one in her dads life.
  • @vino831 Tabitha! What a neat little thing if she was born on a Tuesday!! I've been hoping alp along that I d have my LO on a Tuesday too-but that's because it's my favorite midwives night she's scheduled to be the one birthing babies! So maybe it'll workout for tomorrow?
Hope you can get your haircut and pedi!!
And hope your hip feels better soon! Kiddos definitely still keep us so active even when we take days off!
  • PS Here's an updated Nursery mural pic!!! I love how fluffy the clouds look and the shadow detailing on the tree is so beautiful. Our artist didn't have time for the animals last night but she'll be back next weekend for that. She will paint the elephant & add an owl and a birds nest within the tree, as well as a bunny rabbit on a swing looking up at a butterfly. And atop the highest fluffy cloud will be a portrait of our bulldog Sofia napping (she passed away very suddenly from cancer last year)! And then after Baby gets here all the leaves will get painted. I am SO EXCITED for the final product!!!!
  • Thanks @kjd291 !!! I've met 3 other Magda's in my lifetime... 2 in high school and 1 in college! :)
  • @triwellnessgirl omg the mural looks AWESOME!!!! I wish we owned our apartment instead of renting so we could do stuff like that to the walls. Also good to know that post was you Magda, haha. At first I was like "who is this person? How am I supposed to know about her previous conversation with her DH?" but so glad you guys are feeling more connected.

@vino831 I so didn't know that 831 meant I love you. I love it! And also I'm stealing it. Haha.

@kjd291 really hoping you get your fav midwife whenever you do go into labour!!

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @triwellnessgirl I love love love the mural! How precious to include your puppy!! Can't wait to have you share the final final product! :)
  • @jenny0228 I'm really impressed that you've already run such long distances so fast & are planning to do the Boston marathon, that's awesome!!!

@kjd291 you look amazing! I love your name also & will probably think of Elsie now whenever I see cows even though I never would've thought of it as a cow name before haha - where did you get sports bras like that? I think I need to buy some!

@triwellnessgirl I thought the same as @npaulie until I read about your DH/step daughter then I knew it was you but thought maybe the Bump was having some glitches or something haha... I loooove your nursery!!!!

@vino831 I also wasn't aware 831 had a meaning, that's pretty cool! That's great you're so close to finishing your first masters & very impressive you're going for a dual degree! What are you studying & hoping to do once you finish? I have faith in you that you'll be able to do really well even with two little ones to chase around!

  • My photographer is teasing me, hahaha... she just sent me a sneak peak maternity pic....

  • @jenny0228 !! Have an amazing birthday!!!! Enjoy every second!!
  • @triwellnessgirl you are drop dead gorgeous lady!! Love all of them! But... have to say the purple is my favorite<3

    @jenny0228 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Hope you enjoy your sneaking into your birthday--but also getting celebrated by family and friends enough to know how loved you are!! Have a great day!!

  • AWWW Ladies thanks so much!!!  <3
I got to work this morning and my desk is decorated (complete with singing cat ballons?!) and my coworkers got me some leather baby moccasins with leather fringe and some rosé wine gummy candy!  I think it finally hit me this morning that I'm 40 but.... I feel good about it! See ya, 30's don't let the door hit you on the way out!  B)

@triwellnessgirl - your nursery looks so lovely and your maternity photos are SO gorgeous!! Those colors look amazing on you, what great memories to look back on! I'm so glad to hear you and hubby are connecting better, you can totally see the love in your pics! I hope your step-daughter comes around, I don't see how she can have a relationship with her sibling but not you both.  :/

@vino831 - awesome post-partum plan lady, and YAY for 2018 Ragnar race! Hope you can get your haircut and pedi rescheduled before your LO comes for a nice treat!

@kjd291 keeping my fingers crossed for you - you are staying so strong and positive and trusting your body - but the waiting must be SO hard at this point! Feb 28 is a great day to be born, just sayin...!
  • @jenny0228 I'm torn! I'd love to get this over with... but part of me feels like now that I'm 9days overdue I might as well wait 12hrs to go into labor and have a March baby and make a funny story out of it ;) we'll see what her plan is! Feeling crampy and exhausted this morning-maybe today IS the day??
  • @jenny0228 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :) Sounds like you have some nice coworkers! Hope you have an awesome day!

@triwellnessgirl BEAUTIFUL photos!! So hard to pick a favorite!

Oh she's definitely determined to get as close to March as possible! AHH I'm so excited for you!!
  • @vino831 wow!!! I love hearing about women in the typically male dominated fields and seriously have so much respect for you and your military background!! That's amazing also that your work is so supportive of your plans! You're an inspiration and your little ones especially as they grow up will appreciate everything you've done/are doing, keep up the great work!! My mom earned her masters in aerospace engineering at a time when pretty much no other women were going in that field and I've always looked up to her for pursuing her goals despite being told she couldn't/shouldn't by so many because she was female. My sister has a masters in information assurance & has worked for the DOD since finishing her undergrad...I'm admittedly not tech savvy, so idk what the differences are between IA and Cybersecurity but I know they're both way above my skill level haha ;)
I'm set to graduate in May with mine in Organizational Leadership, hoping to transition into the nonprofit world eventually. My background has been all business/retail/management the last 10+ years but I'd like to contribute on a more meaningful level & feel like I'm actually doing good in the world as cheesy as it sounds. I just love helping both people & animals and would love to make a career out of it, so I'm getting the degree to open more doors down the road - and also because my work is reimbursing me for it so I figured it's worth it to take advantage of while I can!

  • Well ladies, it's been raining on and off all day, so I didn't get the dog out on a walk. So I was thinking to myself, "ugh, I'll just skip being active today" (which is what I did yesterday. But then I decided, no! I'm getting up and moving and just finished a prenatal yoga video on youtube. So glad I did. About to head into work (after today, I just go in thursday then maternity leave!!!)

Hope you ladies are having a great day!!
