Had my 39 week appointment today- still no real progress....no dilation, baby hasn't dropped. Everything else looks fine, just a waiting game now! OB told me to make a 41 week appointment to be on the safe side and will probably schedule an induction at my 40 week appointment in case I go over 41 weeks....which hopefully doesn't happen but right now things don't look promising of meeting LO anytime soon! How are you feeling @kjd291?!
My 38 week appointment is Wednesday! I was hoping I'd go into labor before then... but I'm not holding my breath. LOL Patience is definitely not my strong suit.
My last perinatal appointment was today...per their measurement he's 8.5 lbs already...we shall see how accurate that is when he's born! My fluid level was a bit elevated but my doctor said that's common for women with GD and wasn't concerned. My BP was 140/81 but again, they weren't too concerned, especially since we have our induction scheduled for Friday.
One more appointment with my OB on Thursday before the real fun starts (unless it decides to start before then on its own)
Me (37) Hubby (39)Marriedsince 4.2009 EP: 2.17.2016 DS: 3.4.2017 DD: due 7.16.2019
Appointment scheduled Wednesday (will be 41+3) to check on baby to verify baby has enough fluid and placenta is deteriorating at a "normal" amount for overdue and still doing its thing.
Still hoping I don't need to go to this appointment.... but that's probably an obvious
Midwives will wait till 42wks to schedule any induction.
37 week appt this morning. I dropped off my jugs (yes, plural, as in 4000 ml of pee) and had a routine follow up. (no worries, it was just precautionary since I developed pre-e about 37 weeks with my son). There was no protein in my urine sample from this morning so I'm not stressed out about it.
My blood pressure has been fine, and I haven't been experiencing swelling or vision changes, but I have had a persistent full headache for a couple of days. My midwife suggested caffeine as an experiment; it caffeine helped, it's not really concerning. You better believe I got myself a large CFA unsweetened tea on my way home. And you know what? It DID help!
Baby is measuring right on track. My midwife ended the appt with, "See you in a week...if you're still pregnant then!" Egads!
@kjd291 - You know what I was thinking about the 42 week appt you scheduled? No matter what happens, that will be your last follow up on appt for this pregnancy (if you even make it that far)! You have some concrete day to count down to!

Haha! Yes!! One of the most annoying things about going overdue! Ran out of "fun" countdowns! Now they're just "please don't let me go that far" countdowns! Hahah
37 week check up today. NST was great, BP is cruising along at 140/80 and no proteinuria. My doc thinks I have chronic hypertension so as long as things look good with babe she can keep on cooking
NST on Thursday again. I'm so thankful for an awesome boss! She completely changed her schedule to allow me to work 5 half days instead of 3 ten hour days which is my normal schedule. This way I can get my bi-weekly appointments in without cutting into my work day and keep my stress level and BP down.
My last appointment is tomorrow! I have an ultrasound and appointment, almost wondering if I should ask her to strip my membranes. She made contractions start last time she messed with my cervix which scared me because I wasn't ready, but my mom arrives tomorrow night and i'm being induced Thursday morning so I don't have much to lose at this point in time.
Great to hear all of these positive appointments today!
Have my 38+3 appointment on Wednesday - I'm not having a cervical exam yet (not going there unless strongly suggested by OB)...hopefully baby is enjoying her cooking time.
Had my 37 week appointment today! There wasn't much to talk about.. other than vitamin K shot and the eye drops. My appointment was with my secondary midwife today and she also felt baby from my belly and said that baby is definitely not small. So both midwives have told me this now... I'm a little scared.
NST and Ultrasound this morning. NST went great. Baby girl doing well. BP was 124/87 - which was much better than it has been for a while!
Then went in for a growth ultrasound - check on baby's weight. She's now measuring 8.5 lbs. (I'm 37w 5d), which means she's only gained 1 pound in the 2 weeks since I last had an ultrasound. She still has plenty of fluid, and she is still head down!
Have another NST on Thursday and OB appt on Thursday.
I had an ultrasound this morning, not too eventful as they cannot say much. She apparently was facing a funny position but was head down. I have another appointment March 3rd with my OB, he will go over the results of my ultrasound just to make sure little one is growing. She is still measuring too small (30th percentile) but as long as she doesn't go below that percentile, we will keep her in there to cook a little longer. Is it weird that I want to have her come out like next Wednesday. I just think it sounds right. Here's hoping to 38-39 week delivery, haha
I have my 36w appointment on Friday March 3rd at 36+3. GBS swab and US to check if she is still breech. If so we get the scheduled c-section talk & info.
@MrsBinPA I just had my 36w appointment yesterday at 36+4 - he was breech last Monday and for weeks before that but finally turned - hoping your little bug will do the same for you!!
My mother-in-law came for the ultrasound part of my appointment. We were going to ride together but since my doctor appointment was a bit later, rather than make her wait and then sit through the boring stuff, she was with me during the US then went home. Glad she did, cause I completely forgot they were doing the Group B Strep swab. I love my MIL and we're fairly close, but not close enough for her to want to sit through that, or the cervical exam. Everything is on track, though - BP good, BSL good, etc.
I had my 37 week appt yesterday. Everything was just routine. We did go over our birth plan. Having a midwife is so nice because most things I want are pretty standard for her. I did say that I want DH or I to announce the sex since we're team green. She said to make sure we let the nurse know as well. It's getting so close!
@longliveregina My midwife said almost the same thing to me. Her words were, "See you in a week, if not before."
I have my 36w appt late this afternoon. We will see if baby is still breech, hoping with all of his moving around in the last week that he has flipped!
Just had my *LAST* appointment. Everything looks good, I'm all set for my induction on Thursday. Baby is in the perfect position. Still 2-3 cm dilated
ETA - she asked if I wanted her to strip my membranes but I declined. Was really going back and forth about it, but ultimately I just want to wait for Thursday.
I have my 36w3d appt on Thursday. I believe it will be a GBS test done and they may ask again if I want them to check me. Half of me wants to know and the other half doesn't yet. Hopefully, I'll feel better by then. Been having heartburn and I have a chest cold today. I also have a chiropractor appt on Thursday afternoon hopefully this will help with my hips and back aches
had a forever long NST today ... i think they forgot about me bc she passed in the first 3 min. Then had an ultrasound and ob appointment. Fluid levels are looking good so no induction talks! I decided not to get checked. It's funny, last time I was so interested and this time around I really just don't want to take off my pants to get my cervix poked lol. They think she's on the bigger side, guesstimating 8lb13oz. She looked so angry on the monitor, i had to share a picture. Also her foot was up at her head and made the tech laugh.

hah. RIGHT!? I'm like... nah, just lemme leave. Ain't no body got time for this!
if I make it to my appointment tomorrow (10days over) think I'm gonna take my first check and beg for a sweep.
@kjd291 ya i told DH if I'm still pregnant next appointment i will ask for a sweep just because he will be gone 2 weeks at the end of the month so I'm hoping to go sooner than later. i bet if you make it to your appointment all you will need is that sweep. i'm telling ya she just wants to be a march baby
@Gators&BoSox true! She just wants to hang out with all the cool March babies and their mamas Just a few more hours and I'll be in the clear to have my officially March babe!
I pray you can have your little girl early because of your DH heading out of town!!
Had my appointment today at 37W+4. Everything looked normal, and she said everything is still on track. Turns out they forgot to test me for GBS and it's too late now I guess? But she said urine samples have been normal, so she's not concerned about it.
Also, remember that crazy small urine container they gave me last week? Well, I successfully peed in it without peeing all over my own hand. #smallvictories
Had an ultrasound this morning and baby finally flipped! Yippee! Must have happened in the last week because at last appt, midwife felt my belly and said he was still breech. I could not figure out for the life of me which way he was facing but everyone this week started telling me I "dropped". He's looking perfect, but they are estimating he's 7lbs already, in 90th percentile! He has chubby little cheeks! I have to wait until Friday for my OB appt to discuss more. Then I start my NST tests next Friday.
I also was told GBS has to be done before 37 weeks but I can't see how it matters really unless the results are only valid for four weeks, which then yeah, I could see the need to test AFTER 37. A good question for google or kellymom!
Just came from my last appointment! Doctor said she couldn't believe I'm walking around at 4-5 cm and nothing! Inducing on Wednesday if he hasn't made his appearance by then.

Bilirubin is OK with yellow line moving up her chest.
Healthy little girl!
She "lost" an inch but honestly I don't trust the reproducibility of that measurement.
