@HollyGolightly09@daniellelynette haha no I didn't gobble at it! And yes it was both hideous and also kind of beautiful in its own way. I can't see for crap so all I saw with his grey head/neck bobbing up and down like what the heck is that??? And I ran out there and yelled "it's a turkey!!!!" And then he was OUT
@lap018 this last fall we got hit BY a turkey. It completely shattered the windshield and dented the frame that holds the windshield. It was one of those cases where you see the damn thing on the side of the road and you know it's about to do something stupid...like pretend it's good at flying...right into your car. To this day, DH and I still refer to them as effing turkeys lol
Saw something really weird outside bobbing up and down outside our screened in porch and I run out there "what the heck is that" it was a ginormous turkey y'all! I tried to snap a pic but those things are fast #southernliving
Hahaha I can relate, although I live in the northeast. We live across from small woods which are in front of an empty refinery. It's full of turkeys and deer. A few times a week I have to wait in the road while the deer or turkeys cross the street. Also the turkeys like to peck at my neighbors car because they can see their reflection in the black car, it's awful! Also turkey poop is everywhere
I haven't been around in a few days so I have a few:
1) DS outed me to another kid in front of his BFF's mom. We were standing and talking when all of a sudden DS comes up to me and says "I told my friend that you're pregnant!" Cue awkward silence before his BFF's mom starts laughing and says "well congrats!" She thought it was adorable. Thanks kid! Then again, serves me right for telling the 6 year old. I just have to make sure we don't see my ILs until I'm ready to announce.
2) I have eaten 2 bags of Lay's salt and vinegar chips this week. I can't get enough of them.
3) One of my BFFs has bought this baby 2 outfits already. I refuse to buy things for awhile yet but she can't control herself, in her words. At first I wasn't sure what to think and my brain kept going to the what ifs but honestly it just makes me happy that we're loved so much.
Also I can't remember who the poster was that ate cucumbers and vinegar, but I've also done that twice this week. Apparently I really like vinegar.
That'd be me, I'm still eating it daily and have to hide from DD because she wants to share (which means she wants to eat all of mine!) And I lived off of Lay's salt and vinegar chips with my first pregnancy, had to be kettle cooked though so they weren't as greasy lol
Random positive: I got my profit sharing check from my work today!!! And although I really REALLY wanted to go on a shopping spree I decided to pay off my credit card and am now free of credit card debt!! Yay!!!!
(I still have student loan debt and a car payment but it's a small victory and I'll take it.)
@runbyfruiting I am working my way through a family sized back of salt and vinegar chips, and a large bag of baked cheetos puffs. When I feel good, they're some of the only things that I really want. I console myself that at least I've lost weight (thanks, MS, you twatwaffle) and not gained any, so I can afford a few splurges, right?

Finally got to hear and see our LO today for the first time (12+1)!!!! Such a huge relief and a nice treat for my parents to be able to pop in and see their next grandchild.
@lahearn18 I remember with DS my boobs grew soooo fast! I started out a 36C and ended up a 38DD. It was crazy! I've settled back down to 36D but I'm still nursing so I think that's why they haven't grown yet this pregnancy. Thank god lol. I wish we had a beach close, that would be so much fun. Guess that's what I get for living in Wyo
@lap018 this makes me even more torn about whether to wean or not DS is a nursing addict at 25 months and the freedom would be SO nice! But between the weaning hormones, sad boobs, and the colossal battle... it might just be a matter of weaning down to 2-3 times a day.
@Carebella I enjoyed every second of breastfeeding my boy, it was a very personal decision to wean him but it wasn't hard for us to do because he was already only down to 3 feedings per day. So far I haven't had any super hormonal shifts that I know of from weaning but yeah my boobs are gone, like gone, far far away! lol I just really needed him to be weaned before this baby got here and the sooner I did it the easier it would be for him when the baby gets here and he sees the baby nursing, again it's a super personal decision and the benefits of breastfeeding last for as long as you do it! So do whatever your comfortable with. I will say he has been a lot clingier to me lately since weaning because we aren't getting that one on one cuddle time we used to so I just sit and hold him and rub him and tell him I love him!
Aaand I finally have a niece! My SIL (brother's wife) gave birth to a beautiful little girl last night! I have 4 nephews and now a niece!! So exciting!
