How far along are you/how much longer ((if baby is here: how old is baby))? 36 weeks!! We are officially in the "she could come any time in the next four weeks" bracket!
How big is baby/milestones? Size of a papaya? I'm guessing 5 pounds or more! I finally fell over putting my socks on so I guess I'm officially "quite pregnant and clumsy" :P
Upcoming appointments this week? Got one on Tuesday after being rescheduled twice, showing up finally yesterday and being told the doctor was gone and that I wasn't even on their schedule. Waaaaat?
Any new symptoms or changes? Swelling! Tiny burp vomits. Lady bits inaccessible. Blurry vision and general crotch soreness.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? None to report! DHs birthday is Monday so I'm hoping that goes well for both of us. And its the weekend whoooo!!!
Baby prep done this week? Got some little clothes in the mail so washed and sorted those- decided to put LO in a new PnP instead of hassling with our hideous paint chipped old crib which we'll just dispose of. Baby will be rooming in with her sister so I like the idea of the PnP as it is more enclosed and a little sturdier than the wood crib.
GTKY: if you've picked your baby name, how did you decide on that name? If you're undecided, how did you come up with your options? We have four options which we will finalize upon delivery. But the middle name is the same- Marie-Ann, after my mom and me, and DHs mom. My criteria is: if she comes out fair like me, we'll decide between Scotlyn and Elizabeth. If she comes out dark like Daddy we'll pick between Reyna and Isabelle. But any of those names could fit her despite her looks, that's just what Im telling myself to help narrow it down haha.
How far along are you/how much longer ((if baby is here: how old is baby))? 37 weeks tomorrow!! Going in for my induction at 7:30 am! So I should meet baby girl tomorrow or the next day! Can you tell I'm excited!!??!!
How big is baby/milestones? Last U/S said 6lb1oz about a week and a half ago. Hoping baby is over 6lbs
Upcoming appointments this week? Just my induction...no more prenatal appts ever.
Any new symptoms or changes? I've been having TONs of contractions and waking up multiple times per night with awful indigestion.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? If my mother tells me I'm "huge" one more time, I might kill her. Number 1, I'm not huge...most everyone I see says, "wow you're so small!" Number 2, why would you ever tell anyone they are huge?! I think, she thinks she's giving me a compliment, since we are all so excited that I've made it so long. It's not.
Baby prep done this week? Today I am like an energizer bunny! My DH has been fussing at me all morning because I've completely thrown bedrest out the window and have been organizing, cleaning, etc. I'm too anxious to sit still but I finally sat back down and feel pretty crappy. I probably overdid it since my pressure is up now

Upcoming appointments this week? Wednesday. Just saw my midwife yesterday.
Any new symptoms or changes? Got my first cervix check and was told I wouldn't make it to the hospital if I went into labor at home. So I came back for the weekend to spend some time with my son, then heading to the city to stay
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I am in so much pain it's ridiculous. This baby is so low, every time I walk I get intense shooting pains in my crotch and down my legs. I am so over pregnancy
Baby prep done this week? Thursday was my last day of work and I applied for my ei benefits. Other than that I am pretty useless.

The girls name I picked is Isla, which was the name of my child life therapist when I was in the hospital as a teenager (I suffered significant burns after being in an explosion). It's been sixteen years and she is still one of my biggest cheerleaders and a pretty phenomenal person. I loved her name the first time I heard it.
I haven't decided on a first name for a boy but the middle name will be Carter, who was one of my closest friends who passed away very unexpectedly a couple years ago.
How far along are you/how much longer ((if baby is here: how old is baby))? 37 weeks. Baby is welcome to make her debut at any time, lol!
How big is baby/milestones? You know, at my last ultrasound she was measuring about a week small, so I'm gonna assume just over 6 pounds? We'll find out soon enough. Her face looked nice and chubby at the ultrasound, so I'm content about that.
Upcoming appointments this week? Monday morning. I get to return my full jugs of pee. Yay. (Doing a 24 hour urine collection Sunday as a precaution because I developed pre-e about 37 weeks last time.)
Any new symptoms or changes? Still sore. Went for a walk with my son and the hills are gonna be the death of me (or at least the pain of me). Pelvic pain = no fun.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Last day of work is Friday!
Baby prep done this week? Cleaning like a mad woman! Carseat also wrestled into the van. I hate hate hate infant car seats. I am just itching to buy baby #2 a convertible one, but it will probably have to wait about a month.
GTKY: if you've picked your baby name, how did you decide on that name? If you're undecided, how did you come up with your options? We really like the name Alice just because. My husband is still deciding between two family middle names, Hildy and LaRue. I hope he picks Hildy! But since I picked Alice I'm letting this one be on him.

GTKY: If you've picked your baby name, how did you decide on that name? If you're undecided, how did you come up with your options? We have a boy name picked out and a shortlist for a girl. We went through a baby name website to find names we both liked. For a middle name, we will use a family name. We weren't originally going to do that, but we named DS after my dad who passed away the year before he was born. So we decided we wanted to continue that.

ShaunaT25 sorry you're in pain. I had lighting crotch super bad with DS too. With your second you don't drop as early or at all! (Something to look fed to one day?$)

Any new symptoms or changes? Hip pain. Hard to describe. The right hand hip flexor area. When I sit or stand for too long it hurts bad enough that I can't lift my leg. I could have injured myself during my workout Yestersay but I can't fathom how. But the workout in conjunction with end of pregnancy hormones.. who knows.
OH and my hands were swelling this am. Getting close yall!

Oh except now I don't know what I want to do about her sleeping arrangement lol. We have a middle nod the bed cosleeper that we used for DS that we planned to use but now DS has been coming to our bed the last couple nights and sleeping soooo well. Playing it by ear. I have a bassinet too but part of me wants to build one of those attached Co sleepers BUT we have a huge bed with a huge frame so it wouldn't work. And I tried the halo and the arms reach with DS wouldn't stand either.
Eh we'll figure it out! :-D
Baby prep done this week? Dropped off my car to have window tint installed. Odd I know but none of the sun shades I've tried have been great and DS won't keep his sunglasses on yet so figure it will help with sun and heat for both kiddos

Upcoming appointments this week? Appointment for U/S and follow up with Midwife on Wednesday-to check on fluid levels and placenta deterioration (to make sure they are safe to let me stay pregnant all the way to 42wks)) really really hoping I don't make it!!
Any new symptoms or changes? Nope! lots of nothing!
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Just getting home from a nice outing with DH - my mom watched DD for us and we went shopping and for food and a walk. It's was really nice and took my mind off being super pregnant one more day!
Baby prep done this week? Stocked up on some more diapers. Returned some borrowed maternity clothes. Packed away the majority of my maternity clothes and unpacked things that will work for the awkward next month if postpartum shrinking and nursing.

Pretty sure her name is Natalie Rose - but not officially naming till we meet her in the hospital! still have a couple back up options if we meet her and it doesn't feel right.
We started with like 25names, found ones we both agreed on, took out any in the top top of popularity, classic names that sounded good/fit with DD1 who is "Nora"

Rants/Raves/Randoms? My husband so kindly shared the cold that I already had a couple of weeks ago that is getting passed around our house. So not fun sneezing and coughing with separated ab muscles.

We had a list and would go through and cross out names until we got to a final one. It took quite awhile to figure out a girl name. We are team green and already have 3 girls so that was part of the problem.

Any new symptoms or changes? Just a lot of period like cramping, but only at night time. And more BH. I had been really tired, but the last few days I've had more energy... been using that to do a lot of nesting, which I'm pretty sure is driving DH crazy Haha
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm feel like I've been pregnant fooorrreevvveerrrr. I'm really hoping LO makes his appearance soon, because I'm just ready to get this parenting show on the road. I realize the chances of him coming before my due date are slim, and I feel kind of bad hoping he comes before his due date, but I also want my body back

We definitely wanted to do an Irish name, but wanted to pick one that Americans could also pronounce, so we decided on Cían (pronounced key-uhn). If he's born on Paddys day, we'll make his middle name Patrick. But if not, his middle name will be Michael, which is my FILs middle name

How big is baby/milestones? He's over 9 lbs, according to a growth scan at 38 weeks
Upcoming appointments this week? I'm being induced tomorrow morning at 7am!
Any new symptoms or changes? I just lost my mucous plug this morning. Gross! TONS of contractions, some stronger than others. Dr. checked me at my last appointment on Friday and I'm now 3cm and 60%.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I can't believe this is the last day I will ever be pregnant. I can live with that
Also, I find it interesting that both my kids will be born at the same gestational age, 39 weeks, 2 days, due to induction for HBP.
Baby prep done this week? Pretty much everything. We're taking a break right now from all the last minute touches on the nursery, cleaning the house, etc. DH just hung the ceiling fan in the nursery, set up the rock n'play, etc.
GTKY: if you've picked your baby name, how did you decide on that name? If you're undecided, how did you come up with your options? I've liked the name Liam since college and now it's unfortunately in the top 10 but DH and I decided that we don't care because we like it anyway. DD was almost going to be an Evan and we were between that and Liam and went with Liam. We're both of Scotch/Irish descent. Middle name is still up in the air but we have a short list of family names. DH's name is Timothy, his dad's name (and his middle) is Joseph, and my dad's name is Robert. Also, DH was adopted and the name given to him at birth was Robert, so that's definitely in the running.

Baby prep done this week? Finished decorating nursery (ish), my parents came to visit again so we bought a chest freezer so we have somewhere to put all the food my mom's planning on bringing/making after baby is born (plus storage for milk and eventually baby food).

Eventually we narrowed it down to I think 10 or so and wrote names on slips of paper and drew several times...Theodore actually won but it was the name we seemed to circle back to the most so it was funny how it worked out. Still figuring out middle name...we were thinking DH's father's name for a while but now open to other suggestions. We like James but there's already an actor Theo James and then also Ivanka Trump's son is named Theodore James so it's lost some of its originality even though I like how it sounds.

Upcoming appointments this week? OB, chiro, and I'm on the fence about acupuncture or a massage. No ECV because at the last minute that was moved to last week, but no luck there.
Any new symptoms or changes? Way fewer BH now that I've gotten much more serious about just not doing as much as I was.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Have been facing two very different doc opinions on when to schedule a section because baby's breech. We've both listened to both of them and discussed pros and cons but we're sticking with our original plan we developed with the doc I saw earlier last week. Now I just cross my fingers I don't go into labor and get the doc we're not listening to delivering me...
Baby prep done this week? Learning lots about c-sections and pain meds, which I never thought I'd say.

Upcoming appointments this week? weekly appt. Had my GBS swab last week, so I should get those results this week.
Any new symptoms or changes? When I'm not eating, I'm nauseous. Everything I do eat gives me heartburn. I've also starting cramping like crazy. This weekend was rough because I did way too much on Saturday and paid for it Sat night and yesterday.

Other than that, I'm still feeling pretty good. I'm just ready to be done at work, but I'm working up until labor because I want as much time as possible with lo.
Baby prep done this week? Loads. We did our registry completion, so we got a ton of stuff this week. I spent the week washing clothes and blankets, organizing the nursery, cleaning out the closet in the nursery to make it into baby's closet, rearranging furniture, etc. All we have left to do in lo's room is build a side table and hang some decor on the wall. We also packed the hospital bag (with a few minor exceptions). Feeling so much more ready.
The only other huge must before baby comes is getting the car seats installed. We just received the 2nd base this week and were waiting until we had both so we only had to make one appt.

Team green, so we have 2 names.
We used the Baby Names app for the first names. It's like Tinder. They show you a name and you swipe left if you don't like it and right if you do. You can link to another person and it builds a list of names that both of you like. So we started from that list, which made it easy because we were only working off names we both had already approved.
Middle names are after family. Girl middle name is for my mom. Boy middle name is for DH's dad, who passed away last April.
