My Answers: 1. Laying flat on my back again! 2. Staying overnight in the hospital. Before my first I thought I'd hate being in the hospital....but its kinda nice! Cable TV, room service, someone bringing you water 24/7....there's a lot to like. Plus my toddler tends to still need a lot of nighttime parenting, and I'm kinda looking forward to my first night away from him. Newborns are easy, lol: nurse, sleep, repeat.
WINE Laying on my stomach Not having to commute to/from work for 12 weeks Being able to eat without carb/time constraints Not having to stick my finger 4x per day So many squishy baby pictures
- Pomegranate Margarita - Being able to see my underbelly/girl parts - Laying on my stomach and back! And crawling around on the ground with my babies. - The END of "are you still pregnant"
most of all... I'm really really excited to have DD brought to the hospital and to be able to introduce her to baby for the first time!
- Sushi!!!! - being able to sleep in whatever position (I think I'm usually curled up or on my back, had never really given it much thought until I could only sleep on my side) - using all the adorable baby things we have accumulated - not having to drive half hour to/from work - the "oh, you're having a baby" captain obvious comments and so many baby questions from complete strangers

Booze seeing DS be a big bro seeing how DH reacts to a girl Not being in pain when I sleep being able to breathe through my nose! Get my body back wear my wedding rings did I say booze?
-Wine & the occasional cocktail -Sashimi -A bagel with lox (I've been obsessing over this for weeks) -Lying on my back -Seeing how DH and my Dad react to LO -Hopefully carpal tunnel relief and not having to wear the braces on my hands at night anymore! -Being able to push myself with exercise.
Seeing DS1 be a big brother has been amazing. He loves his little bro so much. It seriously brings on the teariness. Also I definitely am pumped about being able to drink wine
- Watching 3 year old DD interact and (hopefully) fall in love with with her sibling.
- Finding out if we will be bringing home a boy or a girl!!!
- Being able to have my normal range of motion back.. I want to be able to put my boots and shoes on like normal without either puking in my mouth or falling over.
- I'm looking forward to enjoying our new house (6 days!!!) with my family of 4! I just want to create the homiest forever home for my 2 babies to grow up in.
- Last but not least I'm excited to see how DD1 has changed SO in terms of being a dad to a newborn again. He was very hesitant and not very confident when it came to anything to do with holding or caring for a newborn. I wonder if he'll still be nervous for that stage all over again.
I'm with you guys, I cannot wait for ***WINE*** AND SLEEPING ON MY STOMACH!!!! And assuming full range of motion as well- bending at the waist, running around, jumping, standing doing dishes with no sudden back spasms or shortness of breath. Also will be so happy to not need to get up and use the bathroom every hour. Seriously, i haven't drank a drop of water before bed or during sleep hours, where is all this pee coming from?! And seeing my toddlers meet their baby sister
For me: - yep, WINE. - sleeping on my stomach/back - working out at full throttle instead of watching my breathing and modifying workouts - watching DH hold and react to our little nugget - introducing him to family at Easter - we have a traditional lobster and clams dinner each memorial day with family at a friend's beach house and I'm so excited to bring our little guy there for the first time. So many traditions, but this one is a big one! - just going for walks with him! - not driving 2 hours to work for 15 weeks!
-Drinking wine -Eating huge deli sandwiches -Wearing my wedding bands -Not tipping over anytime I try to put pants on or tying my shoes. -Sleeping on my back and stomach -Taking an Advil when I have a headache -Seeing DH with our LO-I just know he's going to turn into a puddle of mush as soon as he sees her -Not having to deal with customers while on mat leave
Yeeeaaahhh.... About that.... You are going to have so many awkward small talk conversations about your baby in lines in the grocery store in your future...
-Sleeping on my stomach -Watching DD figure out this big sister thing -Taking the baby in to meet my preschoolers (they have probably been even more excited than me about this baby) -no more heartburn! -The hospital stay (the nurses at the hospital are great, and DH isn't staying overnight with me except maybe the first night to avoid completely thing DD out of her routine......so NO SNORING HUSBAND!)
Side note: I am not looking forward to being away from DD for a few nights. I have never left her overnight, and I am definitely having some anxiety about it.
Not a huge drinker.. but have been craving frozen margarita for MONTHS!
Ability to overindulge in food and not have the heartburn to punish me for it.
Getting to be home with my son and the new baby.
Yes @longliveregina ... I actually kind of want the hospital stay where I can choose my meal and have someone bring it to me!
Sappy:
Seeing that face peer up at me for the first time, holding this little one and finding out if the baby is a boy or girl!
Watching my son meet the new baby and him become a big brother.
Seeing my husband snuggle the baby and get to fall in love with him in new ways that I didn't know were possible.
New traditions.
For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. 1 Samuel 1:27 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@Cbeanz make sure you're staying hydrated while nursing! Make your husband keep bringing you water! But to go all night without peeing would feel amaaaaaaaazing.
-Not peeing ever 5 seconds -sleeping comfortably and being able to snuggle with DH and not a snoogle! -Having my sex drive back -A margarita -raw sushi -Wearing whatever clothes and shoes I want -my mom finally being a Grandma and seeing DH be a dad ❤
- Carbs - not having to pee in the middle of the night every 3 hours - really good sex (TMI!) - seeing DH as a dad - he will be great!! - liquor if I choose when going out to dinner - not having to check sugar 4 x daily - not having NST 2 x a week - sleeping on my belly!! (Or any position for that matter that's comfortable)
This post made me realize that I hadn't really done any of the things I was looking forward to after my pregnancy.
So today I went and got an honest to goodness Italian sub with all of the delicious Italian lunch meats I hadn't eaten since June. It was lifechanging.
SLEEP. My mom comes 2-3 nights a week (twins + disabled husband = me being a burnt out mama), and I've been able to sleep for up to 6 hour stretches. I literally hadn't slept for that long of a stretch since probably August or September.
Not being in constant pain! It's great!
I'm looking forward to: - sleeping on my stomach eventually. Unfortunately, now that my milk has come in, I have a c section incision, and my boobs have grown, its not comfortable for me.
MARGARITA!! being skinny again being able to get comfortable in the couch, in a chair, in bed. Sugar- on the GD train here so I've cut out sugar and limit the carbs. Carbs, bread, PASTA! Not having to drive an hour each way 2-3x a week for Drs appointments. Being able to see down there- less about wanting to see it, more about being tired of DH having to help me landscape.
Its so funny that I'm not the only one craving margaritas! I can't wait. Also looking forward to breathing through my nose, sleeping on my stomach, and hopping in DH's lap. I tried this the other day and it was comical.
-Pub sub!!! I've told DH he needs to bring me one of these immediately after baby gets here. -Insert alcoholic beverage of all types here. I've never liked beer, but man have they looked good lately. -Being able to sit, lay, walk, move, breathe comfortably. -No more rib pain. -Being able to put on undies, pants and shoes easily.
I can't wait to see DD as a big sister. She is so excited for the baby, and it just melts my heart. I know I will bawl when she is brought up to the hospital to meet our new little one.
Also, as much as I can't wait to hold this baby in my arms, part of me is also looking forward to being able to put them down. My back is ready for a break.
Having a Starbucks frapachinio (sp) hubby won't let be drink coffee right now. Sleeping on my stomach, I've also been craving alcohol but I think it's because I can't have it. Cause I rarely drink. Not having to get up to pee every hour. My hips and shoulders hurting. Being tired all the time.
lol I think I'm the only one without alcohol on my list...
I'm really looking forward to: - holding my baby for that first time & having it all become REALLY real - seeing DH become a dad & our parents become grandparents for the first time - sleeping/sitting/laying down comfortably - being able to get dressed normally & put socks/shoes on without a tremendous effort - getting back to my prebaby weight - not dealing with heartburn & all the aches - being able to have normal sex again - wearing my rings again - not having to make so much small talk with people about my pregnancy - staying at home with my LO for hopefully the full first 12 weeks before going back to work - figuring out how to be a mom & take care of a baby/learning along with DH as we go through everything ahead - seeing all of baby's little milestones & watching him grow - seeing how our dog will be as a "big brother" - being able to run again & do normal workouts
My first 3 thoughts were pretty much what everyone else said. Booze, sushi (and lunchmeat, large coffees, etc.), and getting to sleep on my stomach again. YES!!! I'm really looking forward to being out of work for 12 weeks even though I know it's no vacation. But I'll be able to put my daughter on the bus every day and feel like a SAHM. I love being able to say "my kids" and the thought of being a mother of 2. I'll also look forward to not being winded by mundane tasks like putting on socks.
This is so lame, but I'm really looking forward to being able to pick up DS's toys off the floor without intense pain and being out of breath from bending over. It's the little things...
1. sleeping however I'm comfortable. I'm just dying to sleep on my back again. 2. Not feeling so out of shape. Between breathing, not being able to walk very far, extra effort to get things off the floor, get out of bed, get off the couch. I just want to feel normal again and be able to workout. 3. Not worrying so much about food. I'm not a huge eater of anything on the "no list", so it's not that. It's - will this give me heartburn? If I don't eat within the next 30 min, I know I'll start getting nauseous. I'm just so over having to think so much about what I'm eating or not eating.

oh! And no more passing out!!!!
I also can't wait to have a margarita and some sushi. Yum!
It'll be interesting to see my son interact with his new brother. He doesn't really get that a new baby is coming home, so I hope he is happy.

~Watching my husband become a father.
~Getting dressed with ease like a normal person. Basically being able to do anything that requires bending at the waist.
~Drinking as much water as I want, at any time of day, without worrying that I'll be running to the bathroom every 5 minutes if I overdo it.
~Shaving without looking like I let a blind person do it left handed.
Im most looking forward to being off bedrest!
