blood draw, lead test at 9 months?

Our pedis office requests a "lead test" (I think that's what she called it) for the 9 month well check. From what I understand, it's just bloodwork. Was this standard for you?

(we haven't had ours done yet because DS was sick and I haven't been able to take him to the lab)

We didn't have a lead test, they did do a toe-prick for a hemoglobin (iron level) test.

They took blood to check her iron levels.

we had a lead check done early because we live in an old house. it was just a prick on the heel. Didn't bother him nearly as much as the shots.

Ditto. That's all they did at DD's 9 month check too.

I voted no, but just because the timing is different, my pedi does it at 12 months.
