WAYDTGKU: Too lazy to list it all out right now
R/R: It's Friday and the temps are going to be in the 70s and I get to see the sunrise on my way into work (at least for the time being)! And I'm back posting in the daily threads! Sorry I took such a long break away but even after coming back to the board, I found that I needed a few more days before going all in again. So happy to be jumping back in with you ladies!
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it? It's a silent movie called Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans. I watched it because I started a project where I was going to watch all of the movies on the AFI top 100 list (10th anniversary version I think) starting with #100. I didn't expect to like it simply because it was a silent movie; it took me some time to get used to the fact that there's no talking but once I did, I was able to focus on the story and ended up loving it! And in case you're wondering, I haven't quite finished the list yet but I am still working on it very slowly.
And if you'd be interested in watching the movie, here it is on YouTube.

CS/Q: well after yesterday's trying to post disaster I think I skip this one.
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
This is a great question, but I can't think of one right now. When I was in high school I started watching "older" films b&w, silent, etc. so I'll list some of my favs: His Girl Friday and The Philadelphia Story and, as mentioned yesterday The Best Years of Our Lives.
I don't really like horror movies but DH was watching The Cabin in the Woods and it was surprisingly entertaining.

R/R: So I had acupuncture yesterday and it was interesting. She is certified in fertility specifically, so for a whole hour we looked at my charts and discussed CM- everything. She thinks that my anxiety is blocking my hormone production and so I am not getting good egg quality as I release a bit early and she doesn't think I am maintaining progesterone as well as I should. Acupuncture will be geared around de-stressing me and changing my O date to a bit later. Also...she wants me to stop drinking. She said a glass of wine or two a week is ok, but a glass of wine with dinner every night is not. Wahhhhhhh.
I did get another +OPK today so O is today or tomorrow!
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
The Martian. Usually I am not into Sci-Fi kind of stuff, but that movie was brilliant.

GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?

@beachbunny123xo Sorry for the dream. They are hard to swallow.

R/R: ugh. Last month was a big mindf*ck. I had my highest temps ever recorded and it led to squat. That's BS. Oh, and if you haven't been following my rant in another thread, our furnace has been leaking carbon monoxide and now our home warranty company is only giving us $350 to "repair" it, even though it's 30 years old. And the credit is only good if you go with one company, whose estimate was over $4k higher than the other one we received.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
my DH is a movie buff. He loves all the old, foreign movies. He's made me watch a ton of things, but I really liked Make Way for Tomorrow a lot more than I thought I would. FYI, it's one of the most depressing movies and when it first came out, people wanted the director to change the ending but he wouldn't do it.

@beachbunnyxo123 DH just made me watch The Departed a few weeks ago! I'm the first to say no to gang movies because I have a catatonic reaction to gore, but I actually kinda liked it.
@KariAnn323 Yay for O! FX this is it!
@Avrilmai Happy belated birthday! I hope you enjoyed yourself before the tummy ache
@kiwi2628 Thanks for sharing your acupuncture experience! It's awesome that she was so on top of fertility and your cycle. Even if it isn't a garuntee, I'm sure it made you feel more confident in the whole thing. But cutting back on wine?! BOOO!!
@cdnrunning FX your cycle gets its shit together! I'm with you on Kingsmen though. I didn't expect to like that one much either, but we watched it 3 or 4 times.
@FLAshley I hear you on having too much downtime sometimes. My therapist and I call it "spinning" like when a car spins out its tires. So much energy going nowhere makes a person insane. Hope you find something fun to occupy your day/weekend!

R/R: **TW** My IL's come back today and I have to tell them that their pug is sick. My MIL and this dog are inseparable. When she left, he just had a couple of infections in his ears and eyes and she felt so guilty leaving him. He didn't seem to be getting better, so I took him back and now it's looking like cancer. I feel so terrible for all of them (including BIL and DH). This dog is like a member of the family, and I know she's going to feel terrible for going on vacation even though she had no way of knowing at the time. FX he's okay, but it's bumming my Friday mood.**end TW**
CS/Q: Holy temp drop Batman! Don't know wtf that's about. Is AF about to show? Is it finally O? Stay tuned tomorrow for LoveInDC's Crazy Cycle Show!
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
So I heard of La La Land and all the critical acclaim it was getting. I kinda knew the premise. I figured it was going to be a movie DH and I rent at some point. But one date night he insisted we saw it, so I went along expecting to like it just fine. I'm obsessed. One of the best movies of all time and I will go to the mat on that one.
Since that didn't exactly follow the question, I'll say that I was expecting to hate John Wick (gore and violence is not my thing). But the way it was shot was very stunning, so I enjoyed it more than I expected. We saw the sequel in theaters.

@ktcakes87 sorry for CD1. I seem to keep getting my hopes up each cycle and just get that much more disappointed when AF shows.
@LoveInDC I'm so sorry about the dog!!
@ladystinson noooo how can you hate Harry Potter???!!
Month/Cycle: 15/15

R/R: it's going to be almost 80 degrees today!! Very excited to spend the day outside. I've been trying to find new ways to destress and I just picked up a cross stitch kit. I started it last night and it really is pretty relaxing!
CS/Q: nah
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
Kill Bill. I don't remember who made me watch it but I thought it looked ridiculous/too much gore but I enjoyed it more than I expected.

ladystinson Yay for your DH getting home soon!
darkrose88 I am so ready for spring and jealous of your weather! We had a 70 degree day on Wednesday, but snow yesterday and today.
@DuchessOfCambridge Oh no, why have you been awake for so long?!?!?!
LoveInDC Oh no, that is so sad about the dog. I really hope that the dog recovers, that is so sad. Sending positive vibes.
Sailing_Mama FX for O happening soon!
@bertiemeetsgertie: Hugs, sorry it has been a rough month all around. FX March is a better month!
ktcakes87 Sorry for CD 1
@FLAshley: GL keeping busy! I struggle when I have too much down time too. Getting AF this week was rough because I have the whole week off to think about how I am not KTFU....
@cdnrunning FX your cycle regulates this time! I think mine is just finally starting to go back to normal (cycle 6 after being off Mirena) and I am so hoping that is the case.
@lulu1180 Welcome back! Also, we are cycle day buddies, fx it brings us both good luck!
@beachbunnyxo123 Ugh, those dreams are the worst. Especially when they seem so real while you are in the dream.
KariAnn323 Yay for a solid smiley and HIO!
Month/Cycle: 5/6 4 AL
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: PNV, temping, and all the rest during FW
R/R:
Rave: After reading my new book on low blood sugar, I am tweaking my diet to have more complex carbs and removing simple carbs. Also trying to snack more often to maintain a consistent blood sugar level rather than experiencing the drops I have been having. I have only been doing it for 3 days so far, but already starting to see more consistent blood sugar levels.
Rant: It's snowing outside, even though it was 70 degrees two days ago. I was really hoping to go for a walk or hike today, but I am not motivated enough to do that in 30 degree weather.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
Hmm...I was surprised I liked Bad Moms. It wasn't great, but pretty funny. Also, I liked Sing quite a bit. I wasn't sure if it would be too much of a kid movie, but DH and I enjoyed it.
ETA: grammar
CD:2
WAYDTGKU:bbt,cm,pnv,hio
R/R: My two cats decided they would yell at me the whole time I was working out this morning,
then when I go to feed them they just look at it like its gross.
CS/Q:nope
GTKY: What is one movie that you didn't expect to like prior to seeing it but ended up loving it?
John Wick I don`t normally like action movies but this one kept me entertained, plus I seen a video about Keanu Reeve doing training with all the guns for that movie and he is really good.

@LoveInDC so sorry about your IL pug. Do they have any ideas what is causing it?
