I'm laying here in bed at 2:30 and ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT is washing the comforter of the guest room so DH can sleep there when baby arrives. Sigh. The nesting struggle is real.
@longliveregina I'm in the same boat of not being able to sleep over little details. We finally got a car seat and yesterday and today, I have been sleeping only a couple of hours at a time before waking up in a panic over how there's no way the logistics are going to work out with it. Then once I am awake, I am reasonable and know that it's fine, but go back to sleep only to wake up again shortly after with the exact same unreasonable anxiety.
So I finally lost my mucous plug (sorry, TMI) and have been having contractions about since 3am, at about 10 minutes apart. Just called the on call dr and they want me to come in tomorrow morning to get checked...Maybe that dr was wrong about me going past my due date!

I feel like I have a bowling ball in my pelvis and it sort of makes me want to kill someone. In the nicest way possible. Yoga last night helped, how am I going to survive this workday?...sigh. Here's to hoping we get some readjusting, but if in really having contractions, doesn't it make sense the LO is down there to stay? Over two weeks of this to get me to my due date isn't going to happen...but it could, for even 3 weeks...that is maddening...
i've apparently reached the point where everything i do causes BH contractions.. get into car-contraction, pick up DS - contraction, sit on toilet - contraction.... its maddening

This has been happening over here for a while!! Anytime I move/squish my bump it decides to contract. I'm sure all that RRL tea is helping that process for you too, lady! Fingers crossed all this "practice" means we'll have easy peasy labors!
Me too @Gators&BoSox! Anytime I switch positions, it's been happening for a couple weeks now. Every time I lay down for my ob to check my stomach, she always says, oh you're having a contraction right now. Yup, constantly. Good thing the BH don't hurt, but I do have real contractions with cramps sprinkled in there too. Getting those right now because I just did some cleaning.
I'm also on the braxton hicks with every action train. I have also had a few days of pretty painful contractions. Nothing that has amounted to anything, but so not fun. Definitely called my midwife a little freaked out the other night. Major back pain, cramps, and intense braxton hicks. This baby isn't funny, my hospital is 2 hours away from where I live. Have an appointment tomorrow where I'll get my first cervical check.

I'm in that camp too, from wrestling the car seat in the car. Man, we need another convertible seat. I hate this floppy little infant one. I want my baby riding home in a tank, lol.
My grandma passed late last night. I'm so grateful that I've been able to "work from home" and spend the last few days by her side. I lost my mucus plug this morning and the timing of how this all might play out is really throwing me. She was so excited about another great grand baby so I can't help but think if my little guy comes this weekend, it's her doing. ❤
@hippiemama I'm so sorry about the loss of your grandmother. She will definitely be with you as your little guy makes his way into the world! I lost my grandmother right before I found out I was pregnant. I had wished I could share the news with her, but I still feel her with me and still hear her voice giving me advice! Hugs!
@hippiemama So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my grandfather in December and it still hurts that he won't be around. But, what is amazing is the cycle of life and that their legacy continues through our babies. I hope the timing works out well with her arrangements and you are able to honor her in whatever way is needed.
For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. 1 Samuel 1:27 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@hippiemama sorry about the passing of your grandmother. My grandma died about 2 1/2 years ago and still sad that she never got to meet my LO but I am naming my daughter after her so thought that would be a good tribute for someone that was so special to me. Hugs!!
Lightning crotch - I thought it would be in the actual crotch but I feel like I get spasms on one thigh or the other very close to the crotchal region. Is that what it is? If so oh goodness I'm glad it hasn't happened until this week but boy are they unpleasant.
@hippiemama sorry about your grandmother. I hope your LO coming soon helps ease some of the pain and you will always think of her every time you look at your babe I'm sure!

@hippiemama im so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Sounds like she might be kickstarting things for you though and what a special connection for the two of them to share. lots of hugs
I feel mine deep in my crotch, Iike someone is taking a hammer to my pubic bone - feels like it's literally being stuck by lightening. I sort of wonder if they are related to contractions (which I am having per the Dr/NST but yet I can't feel them?...) but at this point who knows. The unofficial yet official lightening crotch term suits it.
Update: my show just occurred. Minor sporadic contractions ... fingers are crossed over here, while I frantically clean the tornado that my house has become over the last week.
Also scared I had my bloody show today!? Had some light spotting at work today after one of my many bathroom trips. Didn't happen again after the one time. No other signs of contractions though...we'll see how this weekend goes with my parents in town.

I spent all last night awake with crazy strong cramping in my lower abdomen. Definitely wasn't lightening crotch, more like strong period cramps. Even got up and took a shower at 3am and they didn't go away until like 8am this morning. I wish my body would decide if it's going to go into labour soon... or if it's not that it would stop with these cramps. They're so painful
As of today, 36+5, I've decided I don't want anyone to visit us BEFORE the baby is here..the idea of cleaning FOR a visit or hosting people. ..thinking about it makes me want to crawl into bed and hide. The thought of ANYONE EXTRA being in my space and home is very unappealing right now. I'd definitely say this goes along with all of the nesting I've been doing.
@hippiemama so sorry for your loss! I know your Grandma is going to be with both of you each step of the way!
My doctor has been watching my blood pressure specifically the lower number and tonight it was over 100 my blood pressure has never been a problem until this pregnancy. I called the OB floor of our hospital tonight and they instructed me to call my doctors cell. After talking to her I feel better but still tearful. She wants me to have it checked tomorrow (at home and work-luckily we have a cuff at home and I work at a school and the nurse can check it there). If its high she wants to see me in the morning. I'm just stressed thinking about it.
I'm 38 weeks today and my sense of taste is off. Everything started tasting different yesterday, even ice cream and brownies don't taste right ☹️️ Has anyone else experienced this?

I think I'm just gonna do it.
