Not much for me this week...halfway through my 2 week wait and already finding myself talking myself down from testing too early. Doc said to test on the 27th......but it's just so tempting to test sooner.
@hoffmanr7 i never thought I'd miss the TWW, but I have to admit it's been super boring this last month without it! Hang in there!
Not much new here either. Still on BCPs until March 1, then a 4 day wait for our baseline US and stims. It feels like a million years away! Meanwhile everyone I know is either KU or about to give birth....I actually lost count of how many close friends are expecting. More hand me downs for us! Haha

@hoffmanr7 12 cycles and I have yet to keep myself from testing early. I always break down at at least 9dpo. hang in there!
Just got my last labs back that showed I am immune to chicken pox and rubella. Great because that means I don't have to get the vaccine. And my AMH levels came back at a 3.7 which is good news. DH is dragging his heals on the semen sample our RE wants him to re-do (of course). HSG is scheduled for Thursday. After that its just a waiting game to start femara and IUI next cycle. @kd0202 Yay for good lab results! I'm sorry about the waiting, though. That's always hard.
I wasn't here last week, but I'm back!
I'm excited to report that I'M OVULATING THIS CYCLE! This is my second cycle on Letrozole (increased dosage from the first cycle) and I got a positive OPK yesterday (and again today, but a lighter positive), day 12, and I had some EWCM yesterday and a bunch today!
The only other time I ovulated was on my first cycle of Clomid and I didn't get the positive OPK until day 21. I don't remember ever seeing EWCM. Before this, I honestly kept asking myself, "How do you know if it's EWCM? It's always clear/white" but now that I've seen it I know!
Saturday night was my sister's wedding reception. I got extremely wine drunk and told my entire family about my fertility struggles (my mom already knew, as well as my MIL--but my brothers and my brother's friend who came got an earful). I also told my two best friends (when I was only on wine #1) who have been asking me every time they see me when we're going to have a baby. One of them actually works in an OBGYN office. So I probably made them feel awful for constantly pestering us about it, but now they know.
I texted my mom yesterday and said, "I got a positive OPK, so apparently the trick to getting myself to ovulate was to drunkenly yell my fertility issues at family members!" (And no, this is not me telling you that you just need to relax and it'll happen, or you need to tell people and it'll happen, etc. Modern medicine made this happen for me, not 'relaxing'--but it was just funny timing.)
I go tomorrow for a saline sonogram to see how/if my fibroids are impacting my uterus. Both doctors and the ultrasound specialist at the practice have assured me they aren't impacting it but I feel like we should look just in case. As long as they don't find anything crazy tomorrow we just wait for my next CD1 to start again.
I'm struggling with my family right now and how talkative they are about our situation. For a long time I said nothing to anyone about our process just because I didn't want the extra eyes. Well I ended up telling my mom which was a huge mistake. She has seriously told everyone under the sun and now I feel like our business is out on display for everyone to see. Im not ashamed of what we're having to do but I'm angry that it's being shared by someone other than me. We have a birthday party to go to in a few weeks and I know all of my moms friend that will be there know everything and I feel like they will be staring at us. Sorry to rant, I'm just feeling very frustrated by this today.

As for me, I *think* I ovulated. No +OPK (not unusual for me) but all other signs point to yes. Except now my temp is dipping 4dpo. Ugh. Really just need this to be a yes so I can go in for 7dpo blood work soon. I've been sulking (but still stalking the bump) since my new doc said people have just been assuming it was already done, when in fact it has not. AFM: CD6 of cycle 17 here. Only 2 more clomid doses to go! @hoffmanr7 - you posted something a while back about the different CD stages, and I think about it often now. I am such a grouch between test day and CD1 - right up to CD4 even.
Anyway, thanks for bearing with me all, even during my grouchy/rage against the machine days. Feeling a little softer these days, and likely until O.
@kd0202 I don't think many other communities in this world would sympathise with a 1.5month wait... but argh! I hope it flies by for you
@GoldenKeys jury duty might be a pretty good distraction at least?
@MJDsquared haha, I remember the first time I noticed EWCM (at 28)... I actually booked a doctor's appointment to check everything was ok! Bravo for making it through a family wedding!
@Worldtravler0522 how freaking annoying I've forbidden my siblings from talking to my parents as I'm afraid they would do just that. Fx for the test!
We're all lined up for IUI next cycle now... I'm on CD22 right now, so in theory in the TWW, but I didn't manage to get a positive OPK this month. Well, I did get a + OPK on CD9, but I think it's a false positive due to the Femara (2 more days to wait to find out).
I've been pretty awful this week - babies and bumps everywhere, especially within the family. I've been more bitter and depressed than usual!
I realised Femara seems to prevent me from getting into a deep sleep - probably explains my temper a bit! Bah.

I am had my first IUI Friday so I am in the TWW. I have to admit I was unprepared for the IUI experience. Mine was so painful, like, to tears, which I realize is unusual. I have a retroflex uterus and we had done a catheter trial previously, but I had a different NP doing the IUI than my regular one. I told her we had to use a smaller tube in the trial, but she tried her other one first and it was like she was taking a needle and jabbing my uterus. She finally went to get the other and it still took her ages to get it in and it hurt like crazy.
Still, it's done and she said our sperm sample was really good so that's a plus.

I'm not sure if I should do a re-intro post, I've been here a while, but haven't been on much lately because my heart just hurts to much. I am off facebook now because I was so depressed, like scary depressed... it wasn't good (granted, I had ran out of refills of my anti depressant and was hanging on by a thread even when I had them...) literally all but one of my friends are pregnant or just had babies. Like girls who got married and pregnant on their honeymoon. Had you told me we were going to have this much trouble, I totally would have been a "sinner" and had all the premarital sex we wanted! Ha! I'm in my tww right now, 5 dpo I think. Good news is I got my first ever positive opk! I have a new ob now since we moved. I did the progesterone blood test yesterday to see if I actually ovulated. Fx! If not, my Dr is going to do one cycle of clomid partially monitored, and if that doesn't work she's going to refer me to a re for more monitoring and treatment.

@mrswifeytoad - I remember you! I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with that level of depression. Ugh. Maybe being off Facebook is a good thing - do you find it's helped? Great news re: the OPK! FX!
@mrswifeytoad Ahhh yay for a positive OPK! FX that the blood test confirms annnd that you get a BFP at the end of your TWW!
I'm so sorry about the depression. I was in a really bad place until I got my positive OPK/EWCM on Monday (I haven't had a positive OPK in like five cycles, I think), but every new pregnancy announcement I see (I swear they've like tripled since our issues came to light) is still like a punch to the gut.
@mrswifeytoad Welcome back! Although obviously I am very sorry you've had to return. I am also sorry about your depression. It sounds like you're working to get a handle on it, and I fully support your Facebook hiatus. I'm also on FB hiatus and my happiness has gone up tremendously. I don't regret it at all. Great news about the OPK! Good luck!!

@mrswifeytoad so sorry you find yourself back again. I know being off social media has been an enormous help for my mental health while I've dealt with my losses and IF in general. I hope being off social media will bring you even a little peace.

Awe, thank you all for the love and support. I so appreciate you all! Being off social media has been so wonderful. I don't miss it at all.
So good news! I got the bloodwork results today- (yay quick turn around!) My progesterone is a 3.8 ng/ml
Here's the scale they sent me: Follicular phase...............<0.3 ng/mL Luteal phase...................1.2-15.9 ng/mL Post-menopausal................<0.2 ng/mL Pregnant, 1st Trimester........2.8-147.3 ng/mL Pregnant, 2nd Trimester........22.5-95.3 ng/mL Pregnant, 3rd Trimester........27.9-243 ng/mL Male Reference range...........<0.2 ng/mL
So it looks like i ovulated!!
***edit: I just got a message from the dr. Saying I did not ovulate this month. Apparently I can't read results right... so I'm super disappointed because I'd really been hoping and praying. Oh well, we will start clomid next cycle.

Hey everyone I'm back!!! My husband and I decided to take a break from the fertility Dr and stress of iui and try on our own while we figure out insurance and look for a Dr who will work with us.
Right now I'm 10dop AF is supposed to show up tomorrow I'm usually 27 or 28 days every month without fail. The beginning of the week I felt like AF was coming normal PMS symptoms. I'm not feeling anything now. This morning I regurged acid back up like vomit. Other than some lower back pain nothing else. Fingers crossed I will test Monday morning if I don't get it by tomorrow.
We made an appt with a new RE on April 11th for our first consult and they are willing to work with our finances for IUI.
Good to see you back @Labluver2! I hope you found your break from IF circus restful. Fingers crossed you get your BFP and you can cancel your appointment on the 11th.

@mrswifeytoad my post O progesterone was 7.9 and I was told that meant I O'd but it was "weak", meaning the egg wouldn't be mature enough to fertilize. One round of clomid and it was up to 32 post O. It's my understanding that it have to be above 12 for a "quality O".

still no AF but after looking I ovulated a few days later than normal so now I'm wondering if its going to come a few days later. Yesterday in kept thinking I got it but nothing same with today and I normally have light spotting before and nothing. Still have the lower back pain and now my boobs kinda feel like they are burning not really painful but sensitive. I was crampy and bloated yesterday which is why I kept thinking I was getting it. Hangover headache and very tired. Part of me wants to test tomorrow and part of me wants to wait. I would be 13dpo tomorrow.

Feeling a little softer these days, and likely until O.
xo

I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with that level of depression. Ugh. Maybe being off Facebook is a good thing - do you find it's helped?
Great news re: the OPK! FX!

So good news! I got the bloodwork results today- (yay quick turn around!) My progesterone is a 3.8 ng/ml
Here's the scale they sent me:
Follicular phase...............<0.3 ng/mL
Luteal phase...................1.2-15.9 ng/mL
Post-menopausal................<0.2 ng/mL
Pregnant, 1st Trimester........2.8-147.3 ng/mL
Pregnant, 2nd Trimester........22.5-95.3 ng/mL
Pregnant, 3rd Trimester........27.9-243 ng/mL
Male Reference range...........<0.2 ng/mL
So it looks like i ovulated!!
***edit: I just got a message from the dr. Saying I did not ovulate this month. Apparently I can't read results right... so I'm super disappointed because I'd really been hoping and praying. Oh well, we will start clomid next cycle.
