I was up last night throwing up....I guess Thai food is off the menu for the next couple weeks. Also, some of baby's bigger movements are downright painful now! I'm sure he's feeling super cramped and uncomfortable in there too though.

I'm self diagnosing, but from what I've found, this sounds right on. I've had HORRIBLE pain in my right groin...it hurts to walk, roll over, basically anytime I move...pretty sure it's Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction, which is when your ligaments relax a little too much and cause irritability. It sucks ass.

I'm so incredibly uncomfortable at this point. My hips, my pelvis, and my lower belly all feel like it's being pulled. It takes me forever to find a comfortable spot on the couch at home and even with my ginormous pregnancy pillow, I'm starting to get uncomfortable at night too. I'm so ready to have this baby but yet we need to get moved first so I also need this little person to stay in. Feeling like it's a lose lose situation right now.
+1 to a painful undercarriage, adjusting on the couch or crossing/uncrossing my legs is the WORST!
I now wince sometimes during the babe's movements because my belly feels paper thin and it's like he is trying to work his way out of my belly button! My poor DH looked mortified the first time it happened.
Otherwise, at 36w today, still going strong with the congestion, acid reflux, most likely MS although I take b6 to keep it at bay, and insomnia!
So this LO loves my right side, literally never ever goes to the left. Last night baby randomly moved to the left side for the first time so far that I know of and it HURT SO BAD! Felt like my muscles on that side just couldn't bear the extra pressure. It was the strangest thing..
Other than that... Groin pain. I stacked 34 moving boxes by myself yesterday then decided it was a beautiful day to chase my 3 year old around a few blocks.. so today I'm feeling it pretty bad. I'm feeling pretty bruised in the whole groin area. I said it felt like one of my legs were gonna fall off last night.
Headaches. Headaches everyday. Tylenol does nothing to ease the headaches. Totally over it. I'm hoping this babe comes a couple of weeks early, because I can't do this for another 5 weeks. Other than that, +1 more for groin and hip pain.

Totally normal symptom, but worth mentioning to your ob or mw just because it's one of those normal symptoms that can indicate a developing problem. But like I said, totally common for women to get headaches during third tri too!
+1 for groin pain. Feels like I worked out way too hard even though that's really not true. And painful movements are definitely a thing. Yesterday it felt like the skin/ligaments around my belly button were tearing. That was awesome.

Agreed. At my weekly appointments they always ask if I've been having headaches. Don't want to worry you but would mention it since it's something that's normally asked about.
@ngcsugirl1112 Yea I have SPD too and it is absolutely miserable. It started up early January for me. Some days are pain free, but most are terrible. When I described the pain to my OB, he asked me to stand on one leg - I could barely do it because the pain flared up SOOOOO badly and he immediately knew from there that it was SPD. If you have trouble standing on one foot (like when you're trying to get dressed), then it's probably SPD. I am SOOOOO sorry you are dealing with this - I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
@Minger86 definitely mention it to your doctor. The reason they ask about headaches is that it can be and early sign of preeclampsia. They will probably more closely monitor your blood pressure just in case. Hope all is well!

Also self diagnosing but I have been having the same symptoms for about a week now and SPD was the Dr Google diagnosis I came up with as well!
@longliveregina@JustAnotherUsername16 thank you. Normally it doesn't concern me but I've had a bad headache that I've been struggling to control since last night. I went to the pharmacy to check my BP (bc I have GD and have read that I'm at higher risk of pre-E)... The 2 readings came back high and "at risk" (150/81 & 135/80). I have weekly prenatal appointments and my blood pressure has been fine. Part of me feels like I should call my doctor just to ask, and part of me feels like it may have just been high because I'm stressing myself out.
@Minger86 While it may be high because you are stressed (and I'm sure the headache doesn't help that) it still doesn't hurt to call your doctor. My blood pressure was fine at every appointment and I had never had any problems with hypertension in my past, but last week it suddenly spiked and my doctor took it pretty seriously. It really isn't going to hurt anything to call your doctor and at least talk to them about it.
Just rang the on-call midwife for the first time since I've been pregnant. Baby has been moving non-stop since I woke up. I know they usually want you to call if you DON'T feel movement, but usually my little guy has a pretty balanced day. Moves when I eat or drink, and when I'm still - but when I'm going about my day and walking around I typically don't feel him jabbing and rolling around in there, until today. I actually called to make sure they wouldn't think he's stressed or anything due to so much vigorous movement. Mid-wife said it's likely fine, maybe because he's breech he's just trying to wiggle into a more comfortable position (YES PLEASE!!)
They also tested my blood and urine last week because I had a bit of blurred vision. Mid-wife gave me the results while she had me on the phone, which were that my proteins were a bit elevated. So now I have to do the 24hr urine thing.
@JustAnotherUsername16 thank you. I tried calling and they're closed for the "holiday". I took some Tylenol and I feel pretty good right now. I plan to call in the morning anyway, to see what they think.
Does anyone else walk like a hunched over grandlady when getting up off the couch or the bed from the pain of lightening crotch and other pelvic, pubic, shooting down the leg pains? I don't recognize myself anymore. I whine all the time. I don't know how some of you guys do this multiple times.
@nicklesb Yes! Especially when I get up in the middle of the night and I have a full bladder. I have to literally hold my belly to ease the pressure off of my pelvis. I grunt every time I stand up/sit down. It's pretty pitiful.
Had such bad lower right side pain that I actually went to L&D thinking it had to be appendecistis or a kidney infection. Nope, just round ligament pain. It's insane that just ligament stretching can be that painful. Felt much better a day or 2 later, so maybe was also babes position. Come onnnnn March...
Major pregnancy brain this past week, brought to you by two things my husband will never let me hear the end of. First was the egg salad incident - I'd boiled some eggs earlier this week and a day or two later, finally had the energy/motivation to actually make the egg salad. Cracked one open and it was a raw egg - not cooked at all. Well, I remembered that one or two of the eggs had not been completely submerged in the pot when I boiled them, and figured those two must not have boiled properly. So I went for another egg. Also raw. Hm. A third... yep, that wasn't boiled, either. So then I thought... did my darling husband think he'd be funny and switch out the hard-boiled eggs with our uncooked eggs? Went for the uncooked egg carton... nope, those were raw, too. So basically I discovered that at some point, I brilliantly left a pot of eggs on the stove and either turned on the wrong burner, or just never turned on a burner at all. Way to go, me!
Then today... I will preface this one by saying that, in my defense, I'd been up for almost 24 hours when I had to have done this one. So today, we went to go meet up with someone who was selling a high chair. Normally we take the husband's car, but my seats were already folded down and such so we opted to take my car. I went to get in and the door was unlocked - didn't think anything of it since I figured he'd unlocked it already, but nope! No, I apparently just left my car unlocked, which I NEVER do. On top of that, as I was getting into the seat, I noticed that my keys were sitting in the little holder in the door. So from Saturday afternoon till Monday evening, I had apparently left my car unlocked, the keys sitting RIGHT IN THE DOOR. The really sad part? I'd even noticed Saturday that my keys were missing, I just assumed they were buried in my purse and didn't worry about it. So fortunate that nothing was stolen (including my car!) but definitely needing to remind myself to check myself!
I never believed in pregnancy brain till I got it.
I'm having these bizarre 5-10min long... what I think are BH contractions. I had them about twice an hour yesterday from mid-afternoon on. They never increased in frequency, and while I had a little muscle pulling in my back they never got painful. I thought they were because I way over-extended myself with a guest in town (I also got swelling in my hands and feet for the first time ever one night), but I've gotten a good night's sleep (8 hours with only 1.5hrs of that awake in the middle of it) and just had another one. So weird.
This week I'm joining the ladies that are experiencing period-like cramps. Oddly enough they're really only happening in the evening. Also +1 for the painful movements. Sometimes it feels like he's trying to poke his way out of my stomach, butt first!

@ngcsugirl1112 and others with deep groin pain. Please watch for swelling too. That pain was the first symptom of my blood clot. The pain expanded down my left leg, which quickly swelled. The swelling was my warning sign. Anyway, it's worth checking on if things get worse!
@Happyhiker thanks for that tip! I haven't noticed any swelling but I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. I see my OB on Thursday so I do plan to let him know about the pain.
I'm feeling more pressure in my pelvic/pubic area today...not sure if he's dropping or if it's because DH and I DTD this morning. Guess we'll find out soon :P

I feel like I'm going to be massively pregnant forever.. I've gotten so used to the aches, pains and lack of sleep that the thought of that ending sounds absurd. It's like pregnant Stockholm syndrome haha.. not that I'm overdue or anything just totally on team denial
@Gators&BoSox I'm the same in that I keep thinking about how can I possibly manage both a baby and a toddler in just a few weeks while this humungously pregnant. I have to keep reminding myself that once the baby gets here I will no longer be a disabled large pregnant meatball and that I'll be so much more capabale/efficient once I have my general set of physical abilities back.
i feel like i've been hit by a truck today... i'm so dreadfully tired all i can think about is bed. this is bad considering I'm usually tired anyways but this is another level... poor DS I'm just trying to get by today... thank god his bed time is 6
Lower back pain this afternoon. I feel like it's mostly because I'm sitting at a desk all day, but also realize this could be the beginning of my body getting ready for labor. Also some BH contractions last night while at the grocery store. Think I just over exerted myself yesterday. Would love for baby girl to stay in at least until next week (38 weeks).
I'm remembering how terrified I was each time I wiped in Tri #1 of there being anything on the paper... now every time I wipe I hope there will be something to get excited about to no avail! -1 to extra discharge! I'm a dry barren desert up in here! Hah.
@kjd291 I bled with my entire last pregnancy so I literally check the paper every time out of habit.. I've probably wasted hours over this pregnancy with the amount of times I pee just by quickly glancing at the paper and bowl lol.. I haven't really had much discharge at all this pregnancy.. I didn't ever see my mucus plug last time so in my head I don't have one haha add me to the dry desert club
I'm pretty sure my heartburn has turned into GERD. Everything causes it, its ridiculously painful, nothing helps it anymore, and I can't get rid of that awful metallic taste in my mouth. I can't lay down flat or eat anything remotely spicy or acidic (great fun when you're lactose intolerant).
My back is killing me, and I keep getting what feel like menstrual cramps. I'm hoping that it means that I'm going to be meeting my little boy soon.
On another note, is it normal to be constantly hungry at 39 weeks? I have had next to no appetite my whole pregnancy, and no blood sugar issues. I seriously can eat a very large meal and feel stuffed, but then I'm starving again maybe an hour later. I'm being good and fighting my hunger and grazing on healthy stuff frequently and trying to avoid enormous meals, but still. I'm just constantly hungry.
@Gators&BoSox Its hard to say. Looking at my belly, it looks like he has, but I've carried him kind of low the entire time. I am having a lot less trouble breathing lately, but every now and then I still get his butt squashed up against my ribs. My doctor thinks he's on the small end of normal sized (surprising since I'm 5'8" and his father is 6'4" and we're both pretty stocky). I suspect he probably still has some wiggle room that he's enjoying.
Ugh woke up this morning with a sore throat and slightly stuffy. Not sure if I got it from my parents over the weekend or from my coworker and his sick pregnant wife (normally I only work with him once or twice a week but he covered a vacation last week so I worked with every single day). DH also woke up today with the exact same symptoms. Hate feeling sick!!

So I ended up at the hospital for soms bloodwork & a NST. I'm having regular 15 minute contractions which is pretty cool. Can't feel them but interesting to see on the monitor. Now I'm just hoping I can last another 2.5 weeks - thinking not - but going to give it my best effort.

All day today I've had period like cramping... Really hoping this won't be a daily thing for the next 4 weeks! I keep checking the tp after I wipe expecting to see blood!
