  • @Becky012016 Oh wow. That's a looooong engagement... any reason they waited so long? Did they set the date before or after they knew you were pregnant?? I'm sure that's how they'll see it too, family can be ridiculous that way. My sister "uninvited" me from her bachelorette party because I was pregnant with DS. Like for real?

And yeah... high school really goes on forever. If it wasn't for the fact that now I'm pretty sure she really does have inappropriate feelings for DH, I almost couldn't believe she really acted like that. DH was very awesome, he made sure I got to meet everyone he was really great. I was so thankful for him! @beccam1230 she thinks she's gods gift to the firehouse... last night was so not fun.
  • @daniellelynette well, I have to give it to you for not telling her what she deserves. Once I told my ex SIL to shut the f**k up and get out of my house. After I called her a dirty whore. Oops. I was tired of her crap. My brother's ex wives (2) seem to enjoy flirting with my husband...

  • @daniellelynette They've set so many tentative dates/years and just never followed through with the planning aspect. They also don't know I'm pregnant yet since we like to wait until 14 weeks to tell. We just found out about the new date through word of mouth so this might be just like all the other dates and never actually happen. As far as I know, they want to send out save the dates this week but haven't planned anything else yet.
  • @jessieR358 @bridge-and-wall I'm sorry you've both gone through that! I'm not sure DH would let that go that far because when his brother in law developed feelings for a girl he worked with and DH's sister came to stay with us, I thought DH was going to kill him... I mean that was his sister so it's kind of a different situation. We will definitely be having another convo about it.
  • @beccam1230 I totally wanted to ask her what her issue was. But I didn't. For DH's sake. Lol. And the fact that everyone at that firehouse seems to love her. Ugh. @Becky012016 I bet once they hear that you're pregnant and can't come they'll move the date, I mean what's moving it one more time right lol!
  • @daniellelynette good for you! You showed her what class looks like! Seems like she could use a lesson or two

  • @daniellelynette - Your post had my blood boiling too. I can't believe some women are like that!! So sorry you're having to deal with it, but you and your DH are handling it well. He sounds like a great guy. I hope this drama ends soon! And just for the record, if I had been there, I would have stood with you. Let those high schoolers whisper and giggle to their hearts' content. Good on you for showing them what a dedicated wife and decent human being looks like.

@LaceyC1020 - I'm so glad to see your good news here! Ah, peace of mind... it's a wonderful thing. :)
  • @beccam1230 it was so hard!! And I'm not even going to lie I was a little irked that everyone was so all about her all night. Lame lol!

@LaceyC1020 OMG that so wins a TW award!! Seriously?! Like I get being busy as a nurse but telling someone they could be in preterm labor IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER and then not calling back? Not okay... SO glad your little baby is okay!!
  • If he isn't anything like my dh he doesn't even realize it's happening. My dh when he was a marine looked Amazing in his dress blues. We took engagement pictures with him in them and you would have thought I wasn't even there. Like bruh I'm right freakin here.

My twat Waffle is me. I was gonna clean the house and I went to put sweet little old Tanner (DS) down for his nap and I am the one who ended up napping.
  • Not nearly as bad as some of the others on here, but my TW today is public meetings. I work for a government. It means I have to go to a lot of public meetings. In the last 2 days, I've had 2 public meetings that should have taken an hour and lasted at least 2. Neither one had a good chance for a bathroom break. It's really hard to pay attention that long when I have to pee the whole time. I can't wait until I'm noticeably pregnant. Then I'll have a good reason to request recesses for bathroom breaks in all public meetings.

  • @kelseyrayay he's pretty oblivious to flirting. And he just had lasik so he doesn't have glasses anymore, and he's extra hot lol! I loved his glasses too, but I think he got a huge confidence boost when he got the lasik and he feels sexy so it definitely shows lol. I like to think he's a pretty good looking dude! Women flirt with him a lot and most of the time he doesn't even notice. Which makes me feel good because I know he's not looking for it!

And this his may be TMI but we managed to squeeze in a little sexy time while DS was napping and I decided "aw hell with it I'm getting on top" even though I hate how my body looks and the first thing he does is look me over and announce "Your body is so perfect!" Like... swoon.

@bridge-and-wall ugh that is super annoying! It's so hard to think about anything when you have to pee!! And I don't want to be THAT GUY but before I had DS if I didn't pee within an hour of when I felt the urge I'd get a UTI. I had like six in one year once. And they progressed so fast, I'd wake up and it would hurt to pee and then the next time I'd be peeing blood. They were AWFUL but knock on wood I haven't had one since the beginning of my pregnancy with DS. And the doctors were always telling me how to avoid them "pee after sex wear cotton undies don't hold it" blah blah blah... but no matter what I did I would always get them. Not for lack of self hygiene either I feel like I should throw that in there. But for sure nobody will say squat when you have a noticeable belly and need a recess to pee and grab a snack!!!
  • So is there anyone who wants to take over TW Tuesdays? I've got FFFC so I'll share  :D
  • @HollyGolightly09 I'm honestly thinking that's it because not very long ago she worked at the rec center.... where all the coal miners go to work out in the mornings and nights before/after work. She likes to be around men working out I guess.
  • @daniellelynette Oh heck no. Oh no. I would be livid. I applaud you for your class. If I were your DH I would address her inappropriate behavior at some point. It is clear that she has some feelings that extend beyond the professionalism realm. She needs to know where she stands as far as that goes.
  • @daniellelynette seriously? I would've had a conversation with her myself by this point. I applaud you for holding your tongue!

@kelseyrayay I also ended up napping with DS today lol!

my TW is the high risk OB office I had to go to today for my Zika test to be drawn. All they did was a blood test and and ultrasound and was there for 3 freaking hours! My husband was watching our son and was late to work because I was so late!!! And the OB there acted so annoyed at me because I asked about the cell free DNA test and was all "it's not that accurate and you're not over 35 or high risk, people want to know the sex of the baby but that's not what this test is for" so I saw my regular OB today and he was like ok yeah no problem we can draw that for you today! I love my regular OB and I do not want to go back to that high risk place. 3 freaking hours y'all!
  • I don't want to freak @daniellelynette out too much with my story. I think @amandarene112 might have a better example, something closer to your situation. This particular relationship was not the first time my ex cheated. It was just the first time I caught him. As we were getting divorced, he told me about other times he had affairs with friends or co-workers. He wasn't oblivious to the attention, either. He sought it out. Looking back, I always had a gut feeling that something was going on with him and these girls. It was the way he talked about them and clearly enjoyed the attention. I just didn't want to believe it. I learned during the divorce process that I was right every time I suspected him.

  • I completely agree @amandarene112

@daniellelynette I have cut a LOT of male friends out of my life because of the fact that they made my SO uncomfortable or tried to pull weight after I got into a relationship. In my point of view, if someone doesn't respect the love of my life, they do not ultimately respect me and do not deserve my time. I know it's a lot more difficult in a work situation because it isn't like he can "cut her out" but if I were him and he knows what is good for your marriage, he should start distancing himself from her.
  • Wow @amandarene112 that is CRAZY. Why do women feel they can do that? I don't get it. Seriously, have these women ever been cheated on? Do they really want to cause that pain to other women? There are PLENTY of men not married out there!! Ugh.
@bridge-and-wall your story makes my heart hurt for you. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Sending big squishy creepy internet hugs.
@Msashley2010 I go out of my way to avoid interactions with men that would even seem questionable. Like a guy I went to high school with (who knew and used to hang out with DH) messaged me on Facebook "Hey you" and I didn't even respond. If I feel like i would have a hard time explaining to DH then I just don't engage. I really value my marriage.

GUYS. How did I forget to mention this? This isn't the first time a woman has done this. DH has a really close friend that he carpools to work with and they go hunting and go out for beers and stuff. Well the first time I ever met them I got the pleasure of meeting his wife... she got drunk and sat on DHs lap... while I was playing basketball with her oldest son. Didn't hear about that til we were on our way home. Anyway, she had a real drinking problem and when I hit my third trimester with DS she started texting him from her husbands phone every time she got drunk and inviting him over. The last straw was when we had a newborn baby like THREE DAYS OLD and she texts him around midnight and says she's drunk and tells him to come over for some beers... I told DH he needed to talk to her or I would... he talked to his friend and his friend talked to her and she freakin messages me on Facebook "I can't believe you would think I would do something like that I thought of you guys as family" blah blah blah and THAT time I let her have it. I straight up told her that I respect my marriage and she is disrespecting not only her marriage but mine as well and it was totally inappropriate and to leave us alone. Haven't heard from her since lol.
  • Can I please just say how thankful I am for you all? Thank you for your stories and your advice and just your thoughts. I don't have many friends here in this tiny town so it's nice to feel like I have some support. You guys are the best.

    Gushing over now (:
  • It's me. I yell at my husband for anything he does that involves a smell of any kind (opening the refrigerator, putting on deodorant, etc.). Tonight I got frustrated with him for petting the dog next to me because it makes her smile her (adorable) smile and her breath is bad. I'm actually getting tired of living with myself.
  • My TW is the dang Amazon Fresh delivery guy. I am pregnant and hungry, and I will get sick and angry if I don't eat. When you're supposed to deliver my groceries between noon and 1, an it's almost 4:30 and you still haven't shown up? Grrrrrrr. Give me my applesauce and popsicles, dammit!

  • @bridge-and-wall it's funny how things work out, I'm happy that you met your amazing DH! Glad you're happier now!
@CSL522 it's so funny how people get when you offer real medical advice. Like I promise you sniffing that banana three times a day isn't going to increase your milk supply sorry haha! I learned through trial and error and when I see a friend that needs BF advice I try to be as tactical as possible but sometimes people are just convinced that something that has no basis in any type of science or logic will work.. its irrational and irritating! Totally right there with ya!
  • Christine the pharmacy tech at my local pharmacy is a TW to the extreme. Went to pick up prescriptions for 20 mo. DS. Ear drops, and oral antibiotics for him and zofran for me so I can stop vomiting every 5 minutes because we are leaving to Vegas ( currently en route) DS had tubes placed in December and has still been getting infections not to mention he has pink eye currently and now I have it also.  we had just filled a prescription on Jan. 28 for drops and we're out of drops so ENT prescribed more. So Christine says " you don't have anymore drops for your son at home?" Um... no why would I be here for more if I had some. I said no and explained the situation. Then she says " well we don't have any zofran called in for your son" I explained that those are for me then she says " well there isn't any for you either " with total attitude. So she was still checking in something for DS's ear drop while I called OB about zofran. They said they called it in gave her date and time and made sure she had my info correct, she said "we don't have it!" So I looked at here and said " why are you being so rude? " and she just stared at me THEN I said " your being a bitch" those words just word vomited out of my mouth. Then she says " well your insurance isn't going to cover the drops since you just got a prescription filled and they're $231 and then SHE LAUGHED and walked away .. SHE LAUGHED like I wouldn't be able to afford them. So at this point I am Livid and blood is boiling. I call DH to tell him what is happening and that I might have to pay out of pocket for drops which sucks but is fine because I will pay whatever for my kid and I am like mad crying in the middle of the grocery store on the phone. Then pharmacist comes over and says that insurance will cover the drops ...
  • @lizh62288 yuck...sounds like an awful experience. Some people  simply do not belong in a customer service industry. You should call the GM of the store and report it.  Corporate tends to take those things seriously.

@daniellelynette sounds like a crappy night. I'm sorry she's being such a TW. I'm glad your hubby is on it as far as making you a priority and introduced you. He hopefully is starting to see what you're seeing in her....& high school never ends for some people

@bridge-and-wall I'm sorry that happened to you. I had a similar story with my first marriage and you're
right...some great things can come from the bad. Glad your story has turned out positively

@lizh62288 Is it a CVS type store, or mom and pop local?  If it's CVS type, call the store and find out who the manager for the pharmacy is.  DH worked in a pharmacy for a long time, and that type of behavior is totally inappropriate for a technician (or anyone).  They can be written up it, and lose their jobs if they have enough bad reviews.

  • @lizh62288 What a dick. I feel sorry for people like that. The Petty Betty's who have so little joy in their own lives they get an actual  kick out being miserable and difficult to others. I absolutely agree with the above comment that you should report this incident. it crosses so many lines. The laughing at you part  has me so damn angry. What if you really wouldn't have been able to pay that money out of pocket? She thinks its a barrel of laughs that a small child could go without meds? she's disgusting.

  • TW here is SIL. We found out she owes FIL a bunch of money but instead of paying him back she's trying to buy a new house and asked for more for the down payment. He's on a pension and doesn't have a ton of flexibility. DH doesn't think she plans to pay him and is trying to figure out a way to confront her without causing a family blowup. It makes me sad that FIL is being taken advantage of.

  • @daniellelynette omg I can't believe that lady behaved that way! If I were in your position I totally would have gone off on her too.

I've had issues with other women before with my SO but for the most part, it wasn't their fault and moreso my SO. He has grown a lot since we have been together. On one thanksgiving he had my daughter sitting on one of his legs and they were popping the champagne bottle's top off. (Then invited his niece's roommate who is in her twenties to come and sit on his other leg. Obviously, she did not do it.) And then he also had some inappropriate conversations with some exes. Him and his ex would still exchange I love you's and sometimes talk about their former sex lives and I'm like no. Oh hell no. And he would defend this behavior by saying "we mean it like a friend." Erm. No. It took a LONG time but eventually he cut her out of his life and she is married and in Switzerland now. But I always blamed him moreso for the behavior because even if she behaved a certain way he most definitely did not have to reciprocate and should have drawn clear boundaries.
  • @Msashley2010 ..... how did you not slap the sh** out of him?! Lol! Omg wow. And the ex too. Wow. She should know how inappropriate it is to exchange I love yous and sex life stuff. Whooooaaaa. That's... wow!
  • @daniellelynette I almost broke up with him over it. I was livid. But it was near the beginning of our relationship and I had a feeling that he didn't quite share with many the seriousness of our relationship until we had been together for more than a few months. We had a rocky start but have become a whole lot stronger since then. Not to say we don't have our issues. We certainly do. But it's been a lot better than it's ever been before.
