I have really feelt this baby is a boy from the beginning. I felt that my first was a girl and was right. But I could be totally wrong of course. These two will only be 15 months apart. DH is really thinking girl because he wants our daughter to have a sis so close in age to grow up with and hopefully be bff's. But hopefully if this is a little boy they will balance each other out and be well rounded.
DH and I had no idea one way or another. Then as we started to tell people, most of my friends said they thought GIRL. We even had a few friends have dreams that we were having a girl (one of those friends didn't even know we were pregnant). So, we were fairly convinced we were having a little girl. Our NIPT screening results just came back on Friday as a very healthy little boy.

I'm not going to lie, I want a boy. I have always imagined having all boys. FI has 3 girls and I have 1 boy already. Hoping for a boy to even out the house a bit, but with his history it's probably going to be a girl, which would be tons of clothes already but I want a boyyyyyyyyyyyyyy so bad. I love the girl name we picked out so it kinda makes me want a girl.
@jmn1985 Everyone was convinced DS was a girl, so it was a big surprise when he obviously wasn't!
I'm hoping for another boy (I love being a boy mom. I was a total tomboy as a kid), DH wants a girl. Honestly, we don't mind either way, but it's fun to have friendly competition about it, especially since we have no control over the matter.
We are having twins so i don't know what to expect!! I am pretty sure they are 95% fraternal so it could go any way. I feel like there's at least one girl! Team purple could be fun!
I have one daughter (2 years old), and so I would love to have another daughter so I can reuse all of her stuff lol. I'm thinking girl -- I instinctively want to say "she" when talking about the baby, but that could be because I already have a she. If I could choose, I would pick girl, but I just want a healthy baby after my total of 3 miscarriages. So I will be just as thrilled with a boy!
We have a DD who just turned 3 so a little sister for her would be wonderful. I was totally convinced she was a boy because I wanted a girl so badly. I kind of have my heart set on a boy this time around since my dad had 2 girls and my sister and I each already have girls so I know he would love to have a boy. My husband also says now that DD has hit threenager status he needs a boy to balance out! We will be just as thrilled no matter what.
@cmar1006 Wait, are you 95% sure your twins are fraternal, or are you saying they are 95% fraternal and 5% identical? Is that genetically possible? (Genuinely wondering if there's something I don't know, not being snarky.)
I think we are having another boy but DH thinks it's a girl, only time will tell! I think she meant she's 95% sure they are fraternal @amandarene112 I don't think it'd be possible for them to be partly fraternal and partly identical, the again I don't know everything!
@amandarene112 She must have meant she was 95% sure they were fraternal twins. It is physically / genetically impossible to have only a percentage identical twins.
@amandarene112 sorry for the confusion. I have only had one ultrasound and my impression from that ultrasound is that they are fraternal. Although the doctor did not explicitly say they are, I am assuming they are fraternal. I had IUI so I produced 4 possibly 6 eggs before my procedure so in all likelihood I have fraternal.
ETA I just reread what I wrote and I can completely understand the confusion. That was not clearly written at all and I apologize for that!
SO and I both want a boy first, he ESPECIALLY wants a boy first because he doesn't want to have to deal with other boys and his daughter. According to both of our family history most everyone has had a boy first and a girl last of like 3 or 4 kids. We're honestly just excited to have our first either mini SO or a mini me! Haha
We're team green, but I know DH wants a girl. He'll be happy either way, especially since it's our first. I don't have a feeling either way yet, and I've had dreams about both.
The hubs and I were originally team green, but since he won't be in the room during delivery we thought it would be nice to find out pre-birth so that we get the news at the same time. If we have a boy then it'll be the first boy born into my mother's side of the family since 1962, but if we have a girl then my MiL might just explode from happiness, so our families will be excited with whatever the news is. We'll have at least one of each eventually (we plan on having 2 bio kids then adopting a 3rd), so I know we'll be happy with whoever's in there.

This is me. My DD was born 9/14 and this little one has the same due date with three years apart...I have SOOOO much girl stuff and the season would line up so it'd be cost effective and I feel it's a she. But I just want healthy after my loss so I'm cool either way...
I was hoping for a girl. I have one son and I am the only girl on both sides of my family. I have 2 brothers and all male cousins. Plus my brother and 2 of my cousins have boys! I thought it would be fun if I was the one to break the cycle! Got the call from my doctor's office today that my panorama results are in and we are having another boy! Oh well! Little boys are tons of fun and we won't have to buy a ton of stuff! And of course, we are very happy and relieved that the testing came back negative for chromosomal abnormalities.
I gotta vent- This is really the last straw I had to call 7 times for them to refill my progesterone before they did it and sent it to the correct location. The nurse at one one put me on bed rest because of spotting and never told the doctor I had a single problem. The nurse also never calls back if I need something. I've not been able to ask a single question to anyone at that office and get a response that actually answers my question and not the run around. They didn't believe I had a UTI and I ended up in the ER dehydrated because of it. Now this ... I'm done. I've call another office and made an appointment.
@Breath_Easy92 Ugh! That's awful! I'm glad you made an appointment at a new office! You don't need that stress in your life! I hope you get your results tomorrow!

Yeah I made an appointment at a new one after doing a ton of research and looking at online reviews. She's one of the highest rated in my area. My only concern was that she didn't have an open slot for me for 3 weeks but i did like that if you have any concerns you call her personally. Not a snowballs chance in hell im going to deal with going through a gatekeeper nurse again. I'm just so emotional and upset it's not helping
We have one boy who is 18 months and this is my second pregnancy. There are a lot of boys in our family (my sister has 2 boys and my husband's bro has 2 boys). I am terrified and probably wouldn't be super excited (initially) about having a girl. I'm not good at tolerating or empathizing with drama that may come with a teenage girl. However, almost EVERYONE that we have told have expressed their desire for us to have a girl. With that being said, I think my husband would do great with a daughter and a second boy may create some jealousy.
I'm really hoping for a boy because this is our last baby and we already have a girl. With DD I knew from the beginning it was a girl. This time I can't tell, I don't have a strong feeling like I did last time. As long as baby is healthy it doesn't really matter though
@holly52 I am the same as you - already have a girl, and this is our last, so it would be cool to have one of each and not feel like we're somehow "missing out" (plus not getting to use our boy name.. haha), and I know DH would be pretty excited to have a son. Last time, I also had a very strong feeling that it was a girl. This time, I also have a feeling like it's a girl, but not nearly as sure, and this pregnancy is pretty different from last time (not that that really means anything). If it's a girl, they will get to have that sister bond, so it will be all good either way.
