How far along are you? 36 weeks
How big is baby? Papaya. I assume that's pretty big? I don't know that I've ever seen a papaya!
Upcoming appointments this week? Regular appt on Thursday
Any new symptoms or changes? SWOLLEN FEET. It started last Friday.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I can't believe that we are all so close to meeting our babies (and that some already have)! I finally packed the hospital bag for the baby but still need to pack one for me and DH. One step at a time.
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! DH and I don't really celebrate Valentine's day (no particular reason) so we've made a tradition, initially to be funny, of going to Taco Bell for dinner on V-day. So, that's what we'll be doing tonight!

Upcoming appointments this week? I had an appointment yesterday- had my GBS test and first cervical check, not dilated yet. Also OB confirmed baby is head down so good news!!
Any new symptoms or changes? Just feeling more uncomfortable- pelvic/back pain and peeing every 5 minutes I feel like. Little bit of lightning crotch is back! I don't think she has dropped yet because she still loves to shove her foot and butt into my right rib all the time.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel like I have everything ready- just need a baby!
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! DH and I went to a movie and dinner last Saturday because he is out of town today for work...so I am going to go have a pedicure after work
He did send me flowers today, what a sweetie!!
How far along are you? 38 weeks
How big is baby? Winter Melon … though I feel like I’ve swallowed three watermelons.
Upcoming appointments this week? 38 week appointment tomorrow. I’m sure it will be more of the same.
Any new symptoms or changes? Heavy insomnia, crazy low pressure and tmi* awkward diarrhea. I'm told its a potential labor symptom, but its been a couple of days and so far nothing so I'm leaning towards a stomach bug?
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: DD’s big sister basket items have arrived. Keeping it super low key, but I think she’ll be excited. Also my “Big Sister, Little Mister” t-shirts for newborn pictures are here now. J Rant: I’m over it, ladies. I know there could still be four more weeks of this fun and more than anything, I’m grateful to continue to have a healthy, super standard pregnancy, but damn.
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! Nada! I worked from home today so I got to take my little one to her pre-school Valentine’s Day party, which was cute. J Got home to an edible arrangement from DH and proceeded to eat every chocolate covered strawberry immediately.

advantage of the potential cervical softening benefits than really feeling like
it because I’m a whale, but whatever.

Upcoming appointments this week? Had the Strep B test yesterday and she asked if I wanted checked, so I said sure. She said my cervix is closed which is good.
Any new symptoms or changes? I've been waking up for an hour and half to two hours every, single night. Blah!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I got my hospital bag packed and finally did some laundry. I'm feeling better about things.
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! We are getting a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's.

@hippiemama What all did you put in your big sister basket?
My mom will be watching her while we're in labor/after birth until we're home so we didn't need a ton of "keep her occupied" type things. She'll definitely bring her up to the hospital to visit once we're all clear, and the American Girl store is right next door so we've talked about her taking her to get a baby of her own after her visit.

Upcoming appointments this week? Thursday my OB will do my weekly checkup and check my cervix to see if i'm at all dilated.
Any new symptoms or changes? I'm not sleeping and I get larger EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have a very small frame and tiny stick legs, so my growing belly catches people off guard and everyone loves to comment. "You weren't that big the last time i saw you!" "Almost there, right?!" "You have such good posture for being so big!" Thank you every random person I com across for the reminder of how large I am.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I do not sleep well at all. I miss sleep so much and people keep telling me it's preparing me to when the baby comes and doesn't let me sleep. This annoys me, because I'm such a grump now. Haha. But really, I don't need to be sleep deprived before the baby arrives to "be ready" for the sleep deprivation the baby will cause. seriously. And @hippiemama I am right there with you. I'm all done. I'm so glad that baby is doing well and this pregnancy seems to be going so smoothly, but I'm tired and large and uncomfortable and ready for the end to come.
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! The DH and I don't usually do anything special, but we went out to a nice dinner last night since we haven't been out together in a while. He works until 11pm tonight so tonight will be a book or movie and bed for me.
I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone for keeping this ticker change going. I have been MIA for a while now, things have just been really busy (I'm one of 4 relatives that were due in a one month span and now I am the only one left, so between all of the baby showers and births we have been pretty busy), but it's so nice to have this place to come back to for comfort and to vent.

Any new symptoms or changes? My back has been reallyyyyy hurting and I'm just exhausted all the time now.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Tomorrow morning we're doing a maternity photo shoot which I'm really excited for but DH is definitely not...tonight he said "This might be the biggest waste of money we've ever spent" well gee thanks babe.
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! Worked til 7:30 then ate cheezits for dinner. DH & I don't really celebrate V day so I'm probably gonna go to bed soon so I don't have to listen to him complain more about the photos tomorrow. Super romantic evening over here.

Upcoming appointments this week? I had an appointment yesterday and was glad to learn that my GBS test is negative, so no antibiotics for me during delivery. Baby is head down, which is good. She even let me get a surprise peek at him on US, which was an unexpected surprise. She won't say how big she thinks he is, but said that they're going to have to monitor his size to make sure he'll fit.
Any new symptoms or changes? The last few days I've been feeling fairly uncomfortable. BH has increased, and lightning crotch, and having to pee like every 30 minutes.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm ready to meet this baby, but also feel like I need more time to do last minute stuff around the house!
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! I worked tonight, but we later this week we'll have a dinner date. Looking forward to it!

How big is baby? butternut squash - growth scan had him at 5 lbs 5 oz as of Monday

Any new symptoms or changes? Hello constipation. It is so nice of you to return.
Rants/Raves/Questions? 1. After two baby showers, I finally feel like we are almost prepared for the baby. Just need the car seat. Of course, we don't have his room ready for him yet (haven't touched it), but at least we have the things we need for the babe i.e. diapers, clothes, somewhere for him to sleep, blankets, etc. 2. This is gonna be heavy, but I have to say it: I absolutely lost it tonight when my DH once again brought up how he thinks I would be better off if he were gone (meaning suicide). I just started sobbing and I couldn't say anything. I got up and took a shower so I could just cry. I have no idea what to say or do to help him anymore. I have reached out to his family but I kind of get the feeling that they have been pushed away by him so many times before that they are reluctant to step in and try to help.
It's been a rough day.
GTKY: What are you doing for Valentine's Day?! Strangely enough, I spent the day touring the prison. haha. I'm doing a local leadership program and some numbnut thought today would be a great day for that tour. DH did surprise me with a jewelry box that had a necklace inside. Said he felt bad about failing me on my birthday last year when he did absolutely nothing - and then kind of gloated about it.
He and I clearly have some issues to work out. *sigh*
Do you mind if I ask if he's medicated at all for depression? And if not, is he speaking with anyone? (a therapist of some sort)
@klz0330 I'm not sure about the hospital part yet. I was texting with my SIL (his brother's wife) last night about it all and she brought that up. I think he would adamantly refuse to go and I hesitate forcing him. I know it might be the best thing for him, but I just don't have the emotional strength to do it right now, you know?
He's at work today (he works a 24 hour shift every three days) and he's been distant. I can tell a lot is on his mind and I kind of want to give him the space he needs to think things through. But honestly, I can't tell if the suicide talk is a cry for help/attention or he is using it to manipulate the situation. Might be a mixture of both.
Another option might be talking to his psychiatrist and letting him know that DH is still having these thoughts and ideations so that they can possibly discuss changing up his meds to something more effective.
I hear you that he would be resistant going to the hospital, but if he ever mentions having a plan or intentions to harm himself, he can be involuntarily committed until he is stabilized. It would be better than taking the chance that he's trying to manipulate the situation and him actually harm himself.
Do you have family/friends that live close by and know about the situation that could help you or be supportive of you if you need it?

It really is a lot for me to take on in addition to working (new job, just started in December) and preparing for baby. Honestly, it is quite lonely a lot of the time because he pulls away from me and my family lives 1500 miles away. We've only been married about 18 months, so I am still new to the area and to his family. In the end, I want to do what is best for him and for us as a family. It is hard though when he is telling me that he has serious doubts as to whether he can be the husband/father he needs to be and that I might really be better off without him. I always make him clarify if that means he just wants us to separate or if it is a more....permanent solution. It changes every time. Sometimes he just wants to give me the out so I can leave if I wanted. But, oh how I love this man. I want us to be happy and I know that we can. I just keep trying to have faith and hope that there will be a light at the end of this tunnel.
Sorry for turning this thread into a pity party for me. All your kind words and support mean so much and it is just another reason I love you March mamas so much. Thank you.
