Happy Galentine's Day, Ladies! Wish we could all be eating waffles together this morning to celebrate each other! You're all so amazing, our March Mama community is the best!!
It was 76 degrees here yesterday and I was thinking about you @kjd291 and how anxious I would feel with all that snow! I'm glad baby girl is still cooking
On a side note, some of our close friends came over and we had burgers on the deck! It felt like a summer BBQ, except I didn't do any prep (one of the plus sides of bedrest) and no beer haha
so i planned a nice day on my bday (march 4) to include pedicures and cheesecake factory with DH, DS and the neighbors. LO is due 3/10 so i'm half expecting labor to kick off the morning of my bday just to spite my fun plans haha. win/win i believe
My c-section is scheduled in exactly 4 weeks/1 month from today! Hoping to take some pics of DS this weekend... he turns 3 on 3/3. Gotta capture what he's like right now.

@disneybaby84 i'm here for you! i still don't like them but i figure if they can do even one of the things they're touted to it'll be worth it. i try to eat them fast and drown them out with another flavor like cream cheese
Does anyone have a birth plan template they can recommend?
My midwife asked us to create a birth plan at our appt last week. She would like to use it as an opportunity to review our wishes, but also recommends giving it to the nursing staff when we arrive. Basically her point is that she knows what we want, but the nursing staff has had zero interaction with us and she thinks its helpful for them. Obviously, this plan is the "ideal" scenario and things can change, it's just nice for them to understand where we are coming from. She would like us to keep it to one page.
@mecoats good for you, girlfriend. I'm sorry it resulted in razor burn.
I managed to shave yesterday AND do my nails. At 38 weeks pregnant (tomorrow), I thought this was a serious accomplishment. So much so that I actually walked downstairs entirely nude once I got out of the shower and insisted that DH high-five me. I'm sure he spends a decent amount of time trying to remember why he married me at this point. Whatever. Shaving everything this far along is basically taking gold at the pregnant Olympics.
We actually closed my work today, so that means everyone at my house is hunkered down for a snow day, and waiting out the blizzard... @Lexxilou1986 I am currently severe jealous of your weather and bbq!
@RunBooRun the first one is a pretty standard template that goes over everything and the second is a refresher that i used to do mine. general rule is to keep it one page. if you want something you know your practitioner does you don't necessarily need to add it. i would go over it with SO too since he will probably have no idea what any of this means and may need to advocate for you https://assets.babycenter.com/ims/Content/birthplan_pdf.pdf https://http//blog.earthmamaangelbaby.com/birth-plan/
I'm trying to force my self to shave biweekly what with all the appointments and getting so close to my due date. My DH came in the bathroom yesterday to check on me. He was worried I had passed out or something because it was taking so long.
The server at work has been down since Wednesday afternoon. I keep coming in to work expecting it to be fixed and it's not. So then I just sit here till noon and my boss decides I can leave here. I just want to be asleep. Ughhh. And I'm supposed to be transitioning everything to my replacement but we just keep getting further behind each day. I just want baby to get here so it can not be my problem anymore.
I got my legs waxed about a month ago so I wouldn't have to worry about shaving and it's been great. I have another appointment this weekend and I want to get a pedicure as well

Just got contacted by HR asking me if I want to start my maternity leave early. I can start as early as Friday if I want to. Thing is, it's 16 weeks off no matter when I start it. So I can start at 38 weeks, or right up on my delivery date. I was feeling so ambitious early on when I scheduled to work up to delivery. But now, I wanna be donnnnnnnneeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! What should I do....?
That's a tough one @Cbeanz! The only problem would be if you go past 40 weeks. Maybe start it at 39 weeks? That would give you some time to get things done or just rest, but not cut into potentially 2 or more weeks of time with baby?
I used to get a Brazilian wax faithfully every month and all last pregnancy. This time around I had given up and let it grow. Today since I'm so close to my due date I figured I'd go in. Most painful wax I have had which is odd because they usually don't bother me at all. I'm guessing the amount of time since my last one accompanied with the bush didn't help. But it was over in 15 minutes and now I feel fresh and smooth for my delivery.
Totally wishing I could justify going for a Brazilian, a mani/pedi and a massage. I may be able to justify the pedi. It's pretty expensive, but includes a 20 minute leg/foot massage and a 5-10 minute back rub, so...2 birds 1 stone?
I was 37w3d when I went into labor last time (which coincidentally is TODAY). I don't think my OB wants me to go past my due date since this is VBAC - he said he would agree to induce at 39 weeks if I wanted, to keep the baby on the small side.
I think I am going to change my leave to start next week (Tuesday)... IDK!!!
I try to keep things trimmed up whenever I have the chance lately, but that's not for the sight of it... for my SO or for the ladies that will be down under for delivery. 100% don't care. It's just to make postpartum damage care easier.
Am I the only one who stopped caring what my area down under looks like? I stopped being able to reach everything properly to shave about 2 weeks ago and I don't care enough to spend the money for a wax so I kinda just gave up...
I don't care what mine looks like. The only reason I'm keeping up on my waxes is so post partum care is easier and because I remember how bad that first wax was. I'm afraid that if I don't keep up with them that first one back will hurt like hell.
@JustAnotherUsername16 I don't really care and neither does DH so that's why I let it go for months during this pregnancy but for postpartum I think it's worth it. It's more about feeling more clean for m than the look.
@Cbeanz that sounds like a good compromise! I'm jealous of your 16 weeks!
At my last dr appointmentthat Friday I asked if DH & I could start having sex again (we haven't since October since I was told not to because of my short cervix) and the doctor said we CAN! So in preparation for us hopefully having real sex tonight for the first time in months, I shaved this morning! While standing up! I felt like I deserved a prize for that since the last few weeks I've had to shave while sitting in the tub. I'm a little scared though that it could trigger early labor but hopefully all will be well, I guess we'll find out...

I was grooming myself with an electric razor because my gbs swab is Monday and I was feeling self conscious. I had to use a handhel mirror in the tub. Suddenly my hand was covered in deep red blood. I thought I was having a bloody show, I freaked out! Then I realized I managed to cut my inner thigh with the electric razor. HOW DO YOU CUT YOURSELF WITH AN ELECTRIC RAZOR???
I shaved my entire legs in the shower this morning instead of just up to my knee. I ran out of hot water in the process because it took so damn long! Last time I shaved all the way up it was 2 weeks ago and I could semi reach the backs of my thighs, today not so much. I need a razor with a really long handle, haha. Trying to keep everything else cleaned up as best I can but its a challenge!
i try to shave once a week but it's just because i hate the feeling of growth. DH and i haven't had sex in forever so its definitely not because of that lol
@Cbeanz I'm jealous that you get 16 weeks. I get the standard 12. If I got 16 weeks, I'd probably start my leave at week 39. That's just me. With my luck, I'd wind up being pregnant until 42 weeks and would have wasted 3 of those 16. However, based on your history, I would totally start it next week!

And me!? It's still snowing
