  • @dragonfly87 Yes, two dogs are so much more work. That's kind of how it was with ours. We had our first dog about 5 years when we got the second as a puppy. He stayed glued to our first dog for the rest of first dog's life. So he seems more quiet and lonely now. Hopefully we can find a good fit for him and all of us.  So glad the Natural Calm has (mostly) been working for you. I have to take it every night and it makes such a huge difference for me. I hope it continues to work for you.

  • @Dilynne yay!! Glad to hear your interview went well!

@wabash15 good job, ovaries!! Stupid question: when doing IUI, do you always have to trigger? I wasn't sure if they would let you O "naturally" for those.

@adirat GL with the newb. That's always challenging.

  • @BertieMeetsGertie not a stupid question. Some REs will have you wait for a + OPK then come in for IUI but I personally don't think thats a great way to do it. THere are so many things that can go wrong relying on an OPK for your timing. some ladies don't turn an OPK, you might O over a weekend and the lab might not be there to process your sample, or like me you may sometimes turn an OPK only one day or multiple days....
@dragonfly87 sorry HIO didn't work yesterday, but the two days before should give you good timing!
@dilynne I am so glad to hear that the job interview went well!! fx!

GTKY: Have you ever been pulled over by the police while driving ? Tell us 'bout it ! Once, late at night on a road that I'd never been on before. Speed limit dropped from 50 to 35 and I didn't see the sign. When I saw the flashing lights I pulled onto shoulder expecting him to keep going to an emergency or something. Had no clue. He didn't believe me. No points and it wasn't too expensive thankfully.

R/R: I was so happy to have 2 cycles! Looks like I'm back to no cycle without Provera. :( I'll have to make an appointment with my RE and take the next step. I'm still going to the gym and trying to lose weight. But, just so I can feel stronger and I'm trying not to focus on the scale or fertility benefits.

CS/Q: No, it's just a boring chart full of ups and downs.

GTKY: Yes! Several times! For expired tags, for a broken multifunction switch, for no good reason (RASSA FRASSIN. He had no reason, he just decided to run my plates and saw that it's in my husband's name and he doesn't have a license. But I drive the car. -.-) I've never had a ticket, though. Knock on wood!

  • @GG620 sorry for CD1!

@adirat I had my HSG last week and last month I ovulated on day 13 and still haven't O'd this month yet so I think mine may have delayed it a few days also.

    Month/Cycle: 14/14

WAYDTGKU: opk, bbt, pnv, preseed, CM

R/R: still waiting for that temp spike, dropped a bit today so I think today might be O day. If so, we had excellent timing this month!

I had a phone interview today for a new position in my company I was considering transferring to. Same job just different hospital and I was hoping better hours but it turned out to be almost the same hours but fewer hours per week so I would lose my benefits. I hadn't been too hopeful and I don't hate where I am now but it would've been nice to have slightly better hours. Oh well!

GTKY: I was pulled over once for rolling through a stop sign but just got a warning.

  • @lulu1180  - FX!

    @cdnrunning  - Thanks!  I'll check it out.

    Month/Cycle: 20/18

    CD: 23

WAYDTGKU:  GT, BBT, OPKs, PNVs, DTD

R/R:  Rave -  We get 2 "freebie" tests semiannually to try and earn a grade for a promotion.  Between the drive there and back, the test, the review afterwards, and lunch, I ended up eating all but 1 hour of my day being away from the office on company time (oh no...the horror).  I took my first one for this half year this morning and passed all but one section!

Rant - Sadly I missed passing the whole thing by one question :(  So I'll have to go back in a month and drive back down there to take my missed section.  (Bright side, I'll only have to re-take the section I missed, and I'll still get paid for drive time since it's only my 2nd.)

CS/Q: Nah.  Just waiting for CH at this point.

GTKY: Have you ever been pulled over by the police while driving ? Tell us 'bout it !

When I was 16 I got pulled over for swerving too much out of state while on the interstate.  I was paying attention, but was being a bit off a show-off to my friend and cousin who were in the car with me.  Cop put the fear of God in me and I was on my way.  Never spoke of it again.

When I was 18 I got pulled over for "not utilizing my turn signal" when turning right at a corner in town (from a turn lane, I might add).   Which is a total load of crap because I religiously utilized my turn signals up until that point.  Since then, I generally use them but have been a bit more lax, especially if I'm in a turn lane.  I told my mom (who worked for an attorney's office) and she told me that there had been reports of cops pulling young women over in our town for no legitimate reason.

  • Thanks everyone! Our new staff member seems good though I was a little confused when I told her about our various projects and she didn't take notes...like you should probably take notes.

@wabash15 Thanks for the helpful info about IUIs. Do you know if a trigger is also used for letrozole + TI?

@shortstack930 I hope yours isn't delayed too much! I normally O cd15-16 so I guess there's time. Also, hi! I'm not sure if we've talked before.

  • @adirat I was triggered when I did letrozol and TI. It depends on your RE though. I would definitely recommend triggering, it's more controlled

@heatherdubrow Thanks that's helpful to know. I'll ask when I go in what he recommends. This is not a good reason but... I'm kind of wary of giving myself an injection hence my question.

Edit -- and when I said to my husband that he could give me a shot he made the JT face like in @sheknows6 's siggy so that may be a hard no.

  • @adirat most people are freaked out by injections but once you learn how it's really not so bad. It's daunting giving it to yourself but the trigger is almost always only one shot. So you don't have to do it a bunch of times. Your nurse or MA will teach you how. You'll be a pro in no time!
  • I'll add that I do my own lupron injections every morning because they're on my stomach. But when we start progesterone my H will do it, because it's a muscular injection.

Yes, Twice for speeding and once for avoiding an accident.  I was crossing a 4 lane a dusk and a motorcycle came out of no where.  I swerved to avoid a collision and ended on the wrong side of the median.  Low and behold a cop was right on my tail as I stopped.  He claimed he saw the whole thing but needed my statement before he went on to chase the motorcycle for speeding.
  • @adirat I had a positive OPK on Saturday so I'm hoping I'm not too delayed. And hi! I've been around for a few weeks now but I don't think we've spoken directly  :)
