@kelrauh I really hope those babies stay put a bit more. Every day helps. How are you coping with the bedrest? I only had a couple of weeks bedrest, but it was tough. There are some websites and forums for people on bedrest (keepemcooking.com etc), with weekly check ins so you can share your thoughts, worries with others who are also on bedrest. Sorry, it might seem silly, but hoping it can make the days go by faster and with less stress. Thinking of you!

@clt2pwm11 It must be so scary. Wish I could give you some comforting words. Please know we are thinking of you and praying for your little Charlie and your whole family

@clt2pwm11 Thank you for updating us. I'm so sorry things are so back and forth, but I agree with what the others said that things look very promising for little Charlie. I can't imagine how scared you must be, but I'm so glad that you and DH are such strong supports for one another. Your little guy is such a fighter. Sending you lots of virtual hugs!

@clt2pwm11 and @kelrauh I was born at 27 weeks and spent a couple of months in the NICU but I'm here and doing well. The only reminders of that time are some scars left from procedures they had too do. Technology has advanced so much since the 1980's. It's amazing what they can do now a days. I'll keep you and your families in my prayers. If either of you would prefer more details feel free to pm me.

Well had my OB appt today . We've been patiently waiting to find out the gender from the genetic testing we had done...only to find out today that the lab didn't draw it! The comment didn't show up on the lab requisition for the trio( we had the NT blood work done as well) and the lab didn't check the computer. So Monday back for more blood work this time with a different order. Appointment went well otherwise! Little ones heart rate was 156. I didn't get a chance to discuss the glucose tolerance test with him but that can be discussed at another time.

@ARB425 oh my how frustrating!!! I feel like all of my pregnancy hormones would've led me to give the office staff a piece of my mind!! So glad your little one's hb is so perfect though!

AFM oh man my heart burn is getting so uncomfortable. I might need to call my OB to see if I can get something for it because tums just isn't cutting it anymore. Anyone else have any experience with something that works?

@wifeinraleigh28 my husband was even surprised that I wasn't more upset yesterday but it was probably due to the fact that I had a raging headache and the pregnancy constipation has been glorious these past few days. They gave me some samples of different prenatals to try so we will see if that helps. I'm always happy when I hear little ones heartbeat And know that everything is still going perfectly!

Have you tried apple cider vinegar and water or juice for heartburn? my husband uses this combo and says it works better than his rx med. Sorry the heartburn has worse!

@wifeinraleigh28 Mine got so bad that the OB has me taking regular pepsid twice a day. They also wanted me on it as part of treating my ongoing nausea, too. I've heard apple cider vinegar helps like @ARB425 suggested but I've never tried it. Hope you find some relief soon!

Thanks @ARB425 and @BlueEyedDreamer! I left a message for the advice nurse at my OB to see if I can take something but I will definitely try apple cider vinegar!

Okay ladies - it appears to be my turn for the dreaded cold. I can feel it starting - is there anything i can do to STOP a cold in its tracks? Prior to being pregnant I would be loading up on Airborne or Zicam which are both no-nos. I'm eating several Cuties today to get some natural vitamin C but any other suggestions are appreciated! So far just sneezing and have a post nasal drip and clogged ears.

@taradise99 my boobs have been sore off and on throughout my second trimester. Most days don't hurt, but every so often I'll have a first trimester throwback day!

And hi, everyone, from the doctor's office during the interminable glucose test wait. This place does a two-hour test from the get-go, and I'm aaaaaalmost at the end of the time! I've been extra queasy since drinking that stuff.

My husband came with me and it has been a surprisingly productive time: we researched and registered for our hospital tour, our childbirth class, and our baby care class; we researched car dealerships and made some appointments and started initial paperwork for a car loan; we researched the best waffles in the area for when this wretched wait is over...

The baby has also been productive, if you can call bouncing around from the glucose effects beyond little kicks into full-on Elaine Benis herky jerky dance-kicking productive--which for the exciting life of a fetus I totally do.

I'm 26+3 today with a little girl.  Nothing eventful going on at all right now, other than I am gearing up for my FIFTH coat of paint in the nursery.  PSA: Always use primer, even when you're SURE you don't need to...

I have my GCT on Valentine's Day, of all days!  The nice thing about my office--they gave me the glucose drink to take home already, and instructions to take it exactly 45 minutes before my appointment.  I arrive at the office and check in, and they will draw my blood exactly 15 minutes later.  I won't have to sit around for hours waiting (and only miss an hour or so of work), so that's a huge win for me! We are adults and should be able to be trusted to drink at the right time without having to sit there and waste our time in the office.  Plus, you'd think the waiting room would get pretty full with a bunch of pregnant ladies sitting around....

@taradise99 My boobs never stopped being sore, but some days are worse than others. Your boobs are going through a lot of changes, and in the 2nd trimester your boobs are on overdrive getting ready to produce milk, so soreness is to be expected!

@PNW12RN That's a good idea, I think I'll ask my OB office at my next appointment if they'll give me the drink to take home with me. It is pretty silly to have to drink it there!
