  • Loading the player...
  • @kiwi2628 I'm glad your kitty is doing well after yesterday's surgery!!

@KariAnn323 I was using garden of life but switched to rainbow light because I was terrible at taking the GOLs three times a day... Now I'm working my way through a paper bag full of Rx samples our RE gave me. I had no nausea issues with either the GOL or the rainbow light.

    Month/Cycle: 16/14

    CD/DPO:  37/6

    Timing: -4, -1

    Testing: Nope.

R/R: I haven't really been posting in TWW because I don't really feel like I'm actually waiting for anything (other than an HSG, SA, and urologist appt, but those don't count). But hey, our timing is almost as good as it gets with our issue. Also, work promises to be boring and I'm feeling chatty!

    CS/Q: Nope.

    GTKY: What's your hidden talent?
I don't really know that I have a hidden talent per say. I guess I'd have to agree with @kiwi2628, I know a lot of info that's useless unless you're playing some sort of trivia game.
  • Hoping to see some BFPS soon, ladies!! I'm still benched, but have questions about natural progesterone cream. Who uses it? What kind? How often? Do you notice a temp spike?

  • @NYTino24 I have heard that REs say it doesn't absorb through the skin well, so its basically useless. Especially the OTC stuff. I can ask my OB friend though.
  • @kiwi2628 Yeah I read something about using it vaginally. That's what women on the progesterone pill do. Just curious!

  • @kiwi2628 so glad your kitty is doing well!
@KariAnn323 I got Rx ones from my dr, they don't make me nauseous and I like knowing that since they came from a pharmacist they contain everything I need. And they're free because insurance :)
@slaven I'm not a medical expert but just in research I've done I've read that yeast infections are common during pregnancy and don't affect the baby, so I'd assume they wouldn't affect getting pregnant either. Maybe one of the medically inclined ladies on here knows for sure :)

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 18/6

    Timing: -4, -1, 0, 1

Testing: Trying to hold out til 2/8 (12dpo) but might cave and test early (9dpo) on Sunday

R/R: I'm so tired today. Took forever to fall asleep last night because I was just so hungry! But it was 11 pm and I wasn't getting out of bed to eat especially since I'd already flossed and all that. Bizarre. On the bright side of things, it's Thursday!

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What's your hidden talent? I don't really have one. I can kind of sew. I made my friend a tulle skirt that she wore in her engagement pictures so that made me feel pretty good about myself :)

  • @TravelingCouple @KariAnn323 I also take Rainbow Light. I like it, but I always take my vitamins at night so I don't get an upset stomach. I've never had an issue with my LP so I wouldn't know about that. I take the daily duo instead of just the prenatal.

Good job on not testing TravelingCouple!! :) FX for the biggest BFP tomorrow!

  • Month/Cycle: 4/5

    CD/DPO: 23/11

    Timing: O-2, O, O+1

Testing: Sunday (2/5) - though my resolve is currently wearing thin.

R/R: Rant: I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot. It's hard. I've had nausea and mild cramping yesterday and this morning. I'm trying to remind myself that it's probably AF coming but my brain keeps going "OMG YOU ARE KTFU!!1!!11!!" CTFD brain.

Rave: On the bright side I just found a bundle of online coding courses worth nearly $1k for $49. I'm so excited!

CS/Q: Nothing to see yet. Temps still way above CL (as per usual) and no triphasic pattern or implantation dip to speak of.

GTKY: What's your hidden talent? Technology troubleshooting. A problem I am unfamiliar with? I can google that shiz and fix it pretty quickly. Puzzles are super fun for me and that's all technology really is, a giant puzzle.

  • @50Wife I'm sorry you're having a rough day with the spotting and pregnant co-workers. It's tough to deal with. Treat yourself today.

@sheknows6 Your GTKY, a friend of mine does that and loves it! She's always trying to get me to join.

@TravelingCouple woohoo for a 12 day LP! That is awesome, and FX for you tomorrow!

@jessafishy I've been curious about coding, and I think it's something I would like....then again, I've been curious about a lot of jobs I think I'd like since I hate mine and have been looking for a new one for a few months lol.

Also, I keep forgetting to tell you, I love the quote in your siggy! I have it on a light switch plate in our living room.
  • So sorry for BFN @Anna_1021 :( Hope you do something nice for yourself today

  • @zwink1 I've dabbled in coding in the past and liked it! I'm self-taught though so I'm sure my code is sloppy. I think being a web developer of some kind would be an ideal job for me (work from home? right up my alley).

And thank you! I heart Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling and I've wanted to get that quote on a print to hang (or add it to a light switch as well!).

  • @NYTino24. I was talking oral progesterone before. I didn't think my temps looked all that different from when I wasn't taking it, tbh.  I was taking it for 10 days starting around 3-4dpo, but I actually still got AF around the end of that time. Not sure if that answers your question or not!  :#
  • @BusinessWife I knew I should ask you! From what I read, only like 15% of oral progesterone gets metabolized. Creams also can cause the hormone to get stored in fat if applied topically. Therefore the suggestion to use it vaginally. I don't have a LP defect in terms of length. *TW* My issue is temps not staying up during the time I was pregnant.*/TW*

  • @NYTino24 yeah, I think my doctor wanted it to be metabolized and stored up longer term?  It wasn't so much a short lp as just the spotting that would start leading up to AF.  Otherwise my levels were normal/plenty high, but they were tanking too fast close to the end of my LP. :/ hence the spotting
  • @kiwi2628  @zwink1 I'm a trivia person too, most of it is useless information.
@Anna_1021 sorry you're having a rough day & a BFN. sending positive thoughts to you and hoping the universe is nicer to you
@canonmom413 I'm always so impressed/fascinated by those that can draw.

    Month/Cycle:
    4/4

    CD/DPO: 19/5

Timing: -1, O (schedules were tough to sync  :/

Testing: nope I learned my lesson. noticed all of these (non-existent)symptoms and decided i was special...took a test (way too early) and AF actually came early last cycle...so not doing that again.

R/R: just trying to make it to the weekend.

GTKY: What's your hidden talent? I'm really quite introverted and tend to speak softly, but I also have a pretty good public speaking voice, I can project quite well. People are usually surprised to hear a booming voice come out of me.

  • @TravelingCouple I'm sorry. This is EXACTLY where I am today. I'm a few months behind you but I get it. I try to be calm and do my own thing and not care if other women are luckier than me but it's just so hard when it's right in your face.
I have nothing helpful to say, only I was positive about this month too and today I am just as bitter.

@linzrunz @TravelingCouple I'm there with you, girls. **TW** This week I had to tell one of my best friends (to whom motherhood is especially extremely important) that I just can't bear being around her adorable toddler. Just can't. What an awful thing to say but that's the truth. I've decided that I'll be (very wholeheartedly and kindly) be open about these. Can't hold it in any more and be alone with this any more.
    Hugs <3

ALso @linzrunz: my doc aso wants to do laporoscopic surgery on me, but as an explorative surgery to check everything out - like instead of an HSG, surgery right away. Why is yours?

  • @Anna_1021 I have an RE referral and part of the first round of testing would include an HSG, but none of it is covered on my insurance (no infertility coverage...boo!).  My OB can do the laparoscopy/hysteroscopy and code it so that my insurance will cover it.  I've been researching it a little and it looks like it'll do more of an overall health check of everything as opposed to an HSG - but don't quote me on that.  (If anyone has any more insight into that claim - especially if I am incorrect - please let me know!).  My OB doesn't do HSGs, so that's my only option if I stay with her.  So basically, it's insurance reasons.

@TravelingCouple @Anna_1021 Re: telling people vs. not telling... I'm struggling with this as well.  So far, H and I have decided to keep quiet.  I've told a couple really close friends, my mom, and my brother.  I've been tempted to tell my sister (who just got pregnant "on accident" for baby #5) so I can tell her I can't handle any more pregnancy updates or complaining, but have decided that for not it's best not to tell her.  It's a difficult decision to make and both comes with pros and cons.  You just have to do what's best for you since everyone handles it differently.  <3
