GTKY: I'm hopping on the Bravo train with @haylsbayls and @adirat. Even DH loves VPR. But I wouldn't say we're guilty about it. I say , guilty pleasure is trashy daytime tv (courtroom dramas, Maury, etc.). I have to be in the right mood, but I can find it highly entertaining.

R/R: I woke up from the worst nightmare, which I won't go into because boring, but asdjaslkfhklsadjksl. My husband is in another state and I'm alone in the house, trying to shake that sticky dread that follows you into the morning after a terrible dream.
Now I'm going to find something positive to think about. I have the next four days off. I'm going to make cornbread!
CS/Q: I'm a day shift nurse and started taking my temp when I woke up for work (0515). Normally I'd sleep in til 7:30 or 8 on a day off, but I set the alarm this morning for consistency which was such a bummer. I fell back asleep, but into a hellscape (see above). How crucial is exact timing? What could I get away with?
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Grey's Anatomy. It's so medically inaccurate and nurses don't exist in that hospital, inexplicably (maybe they're the anonymous souls who say "yes, doctor?"). But I've watched it for, like, ten years at least and I can't stop. I love rolling my eyes as all the MDs sit vigil at bedside, dress wounds, administer drugs and check vital signs

No shame here, I've been watching since the first episode premiered. It's so bad but so good in all the right ways. Every time DH catches me watching it he goes "Oh god, you're watching your stories again. Take a shot every time someone expresses their feelings!"

@canonmom413 GL in TWW, we don’t want to see you back here!
@haylsbayls I hope you have an amazing birthday weekend!
@jess0211 Hopefully they get whatever the problem is fixed and
you can plug your heater back in!
@adirat I’ve never seen VPR and I’m not sure if I would love it
or hate lol
@LoveInDC Today could be a fallback rise. Did you try putting in a fake high temp to
see if it give you CHs for CD14?
@orbmaker Sorry for the bad dream! The kind you can’t quite shake off are the
worst! I would continue temping at the
same time every day as it will give you the most accurate information.
@JulesDP Glad to see you’re feeling better! Keeping my fx for you this cycle!
@BertieMeetsGertie Yes to GG!!

@BertieMeetsGertie - I had no advice on the headaches, just creepy internet hugs. Oh, and Gilmore Girls is my favorite.
I'm also starting to believe that I only watch guilty pleasure TV lol I'm loving all these shows you guys are listing! What else is there to watch?!
@lulu1180 - You are so smart. And amazing. And I needed your level head this morning. If I had high temps today and tomorrow, it's CD14 CH. If I keep my temp today and get a high temp tomorrow, I still get CD14 CH. I'm just antsy. It's my first cycle temping and I'm so worried I'm doing it wrong or it's going to give me bad news somehow. CS/Q: not today
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Probably those TLC reality shows... My 600 lb Life, Counting on... I can't help but watch them!
@BertieMeetsGertie I get migraines (is that what kind of HA you have?) and am also nervous about what might happen during pregnancy, since I'd feel uncomfortable with my regimen. I usually drink a little coffee, take 800 mg motrin and a tab of zofran (a prescription antinausea medication), turn the lights out, and try to fall asleep. In the ED, we usually give a similar cocktail through the IV (an NSAID called toradol and reglan).
Triptans are a category of medication rx'd for migraines and research says they are probably safe for pregnancy, but I've never tried them.
Apparently many women stop getting migraines during pregnancy! That's promising. Have you tried taking a magnesium supplement? Deficiency can cause or exacerbate migraines, so they say.
Yay for CH @canonmom413 and FX for your tww Have an awesome B'day weekend @haylsbayls @jess0211 I'm always freezing at work and wouldn't survive without my heater. Also hope everything goes well with your DH's surgery Sorry about the bad dream @orbmaker. Also for me I've noticed temping even 1 hr later does have an effect on my temp. @BertieMeetsGertie Sorry about the headaches. I get migraines on occasion but I also have a chronic condition that sometimes causes severe pain that I take Percocet for as needed. It's pretty much that for severe pain and just Tylenol for mild pain since I'm avoiding ibuprofen

R/R:Saw an RE Tuesday and so far I really like him and the office. This will be a month of lots of testing which I'm actually really happy about because hopefully it means I'll be closer to an answer. Going for day 2 blood work and ultrasound today. Rant - DH is complaining about the SA which I'm surprised about because we discussed it many times in the past. This place even lets you do it at home and bring it in right away which is awesome but we didn't realize you can't use any lube lol
CS/Q: nope. Not sure if I will temp this month since my O will be confirmed other ways
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? This is so awful but whenever I'm home I have to catch Maury. I just like trying to guess if they guy really is the father lol.
R/R: Wohoo! First post BC cycle complete and one month closer to TTC. Just wish I wasn't on CD1 the day before my DH gets home from a 2 week work trip. Looking forward to spending the weekend with him even though there won't be any GDTPT.
CS/Q: I think I may have had low progesterone this past cycle and I'm wondering if I should consider taking a vitamin B complex or if I should just wait it out and see what happens this cycle? (Or wait to talk to a Dr) I spotted for 3 days (9DPO-11DPO) leading up to AF today which is why I think progesterone may be low. Any thoughts?
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show?
I'm embarrassed to admit this but I love Dr. Phil.
@JJMNO1616 The first few cycles after BCP I spotted for several days before AF (sometimes up to a week) but it eventually regulated itself and now I only spot the day before AF comes. I would give it a bit to see if your cycle regulates before worrying about something like that as it can take up to 6 months for your body to regulate after coming off BCP.

I'm on mobile so I can't find who it was but someone asked what my abbreviated temping is. Here's what I do. Note that I temped every single day for two cycles followed by four cycles where I temped every day except weekends during AF and weekends during TWW, so I have a number of months in which O was clear and within the same two days, plus always preceded by ewcm, and my coverlines were always (without exception) 97.0 or 97.1. Thus I feel pretty confident that I can see where my coverline should be and when to expect O based on cm. I am only temping on weekdays when I get up at my temping time of 6:30 and if I'm near O. This week I temped a couple baseline days to make sure my follicular temps were in line with past experience (they were) and now I won't temp again until I see EWCM. I don't actually recommend this unless you KNOW what your body usually does but once you know the patterns you can reduce to just the key days to see your shift.
I should also note that I have a diagnosed luteal phase defect so the chances of getting PG without medication are pretty low for us. We're trying, and I want to know when I ovulate, but it's not like if I track O my odds will go up or anything. As always your personal mileage may vary.
Happy to chat about this more if people are interested!
Edit -- most of you know this about me but just in case, I don't use fertility friend. You can't use the method I described with FF. It won't give you crosshairs without a minimum of six follicular temps.
@haylsbayls hope you have a great birthday weekend!

This was true with me, and I did not have them until I had a PP. I used to take an Rx for migraines but found that just going to bed in a quiet dark room was just as effective so I have not taken anything for a long time. @safire3 so glad you had a good appointment with the RE yesterday.
To the bolded- yassssssssssss *high fives*
No shame here, I've been watching since the first episode premiered. It's so bad but so good in all the right ways.
He's a cut-up.

R/R: ugh. I had a horrible headache again last night and went to bed at 8:30pm. I really need to go to the dr and ask about meds. OTC stuff just doesn't work. I'm just hesitant to start taking a prescription just in case I finally get KU (yeah, yeah I know it's stupid).
CS/Q: anyone take prescription meds for headaches??

@canonmom413 GL in TWW, we don’t want to see you back here!
@haylsbayls I hope you have an amazing birthday weekend!
@jess0211 Hopefully they get whatever the problem is fixed and you can plug your heater back in!
@adirat I’ve never seen VPR and I’m not sure if I would love it or hate lol
@LoveInDC Today could be a fallback rise. Did you try putting in a fake high temp to see if it give you CHs for CD14?
@orbmaker Sorry for the bad dream! The kind you can’t quite shake off are the worst! I would continue temping at the same time every day as it will give you the most accurate information.
@JulesDP Glad to see you’re feeling better! Keeping my fx for you this cycle!
@BertieMeetsGertie Yes to GG!! I’m at the beginning of season 5 now and I was all shocked about Rory’s most recent slip-up ……
Month/Cycle: 8/12 (5 an-O)
CD: 9
WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK, CM, CP, PNV, Magnesium, EPO, vitamin D3, green tea, limiting caffeine, myo-inositol. In other words….
R/R: Last night’s spelunking adventure was a success!!! I don’t think I’ve ever been quite as excited about EWCM as I was yesterday! And I love that all of you ladies get just as excited for me! And I think that the OPK this morning was just a tiny bit darker than previous ones, I’m hoping to get a positive soon!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Honestly, I’m not sure I have one any more. I recently stopped watching a lot of shows because I would get too behind and then realized that they just weren’t as interesting to me as they once were. I guess the closest thing I have now would be Bones. I’ve been watching it for too long not to watch the last season

Yay for EWCM and HIO to make it count

Have an awesome B'day weekend @haylsbayls
@jess0211 I'm always freezing at work and wouldn't survive without my heater. Also hope everything goes well with your DH's surgery
Sorry about the bad dream @orbmaker.

WAYDTGKU: Testing, waiting for AF to leave

Phil.
@haylsbayls Hope you have a great weekend!
@orbmaker I've noticed that even a 30min difference can throw my temps off unfortunately.

WAYDTGKU: a little of this, a little of that
R/R: DH and I finally started going to the chiropractor together this week. They took x-rays and whatnot on Monday and I got my first adjustment yesterday and I'm so excited to finally feel better my back has been killing me for about a year. Also, I had ano 11 and a 12mm on my right yesterday so they said to wait til Monday then trigger....I hope they continue to grow
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Hmm idk pretty little liars? I know it's supposed to be for teens but I can't stop watching! When it's back on anyway lol
@adirat hoping for good news and information from your testing!!

@haylsbayls happy early birthday
@jess0211 sorry your back here and that the surgery will likely mean less than ideal timing this cycle. hugs'
@loveindc sorry for the temp drop but don't totally count yourself out yet, it could be a fallback rise. unfortunately only time will tell.
@orbmaker for temping usually +/-30min and you'll still get a closed circle
@lulu1180 hooray for a good time last night! What is up with the guy in the green shirt in your gif?!?
@orbmaker and @BertieMeetsGertie my RE told me 80% of women with migraines don't have them while KTFU. This was true with me, and I did not have them until I had a PP. I used to take an Rx for migraines but found that just going to bed in a quiet dark room was just as effective so I have not taken anything for a long time.
@safire3 so glad you had a good appointment with the RE yesterday. GL with your testing today!
@JJMNO1616 hooray for CD1! Like @lulu1180 said I would not stress the spotting yet. let your body regulate first.
@heatherdubrow I hope your feeling better today girl! GL with your appointment tomorrow.

Dilynne Well, that was really rude of both of them. Did your DH say anything? It would have taken everything in me not to tell them off.
heatherdubrow Sorry AF is being a TW. Hopefully it doesn't delay or change FET plans.
wabash15 Hey cycle day buddy! Yay for feeling better!
beachbunnyxo123 FX for O soon!
safire3 Hope your testing goes well and you get answers soon.
kaitlink33 I love chiropractors. I started going a few years ago and it changed my life by reducing my neck and back pain. I saw one a few months ago and need to get back in the routine. Hope you have a great experience together!
LoveInDC Ugh, confusing temps are never fun. But hopefully you will have a better idea in the next few days if O happened.

@BertieMeetsGertie: Sorry for the awful headaches, that really sucks.
orbmaker Enjoy the next four days off! Do you make your cornbread from scratch?

CS/Q: I have been experiencing persistent lower pelvic twinges, pressure and pain from CD 1 through now (CD 8) which is highly unusual. Has anyone every had this? I have my OB appointment on February 13 and plan to bring it up then, but it just feels weird this cycle.
GTKY: What is your guilty pleasure TV show?
We have quite a few regular shows we watch (Master Chef, Law and Order SVU, Person of Interest), but my guilty pleasure/shame to admit is 90 Day Fiance. It's pointless, mindless reality TV, but entertaining.

R/R: I finally had a positive OPK last night!! I tested just because I still had EWCM, but I'm down to my last few tests and I won't by anymore because IVF is next. But, sadly, our last bang session was Monday, and we've been so insanely busy and exhausted we haven't GDTPT since so my timing might be -4. But hey, if -1, -2, and O didn't work, maybe -4 is the ticket!
