DD is Penelope and DD2 will be arriving in June. We're having a hard time coming up with a name that we feel is as feminine sounding as Penelope, but isn't childish sounding. I would like DD2's name to also be of Greek origin, but it isn't a must.
Names in consideration: Chloe Phoebe Calista
Names we can't/won't use: Annabelle Mila Lily Rebecca Zoey
I love Calista. Perfect name and goes really well with Penelope. Before reading your list, the first ideas that popped into my head were Genevieve or Rosemary.
Love Calista! I can't foresee how anyone would have spelling or pronouncing issues. If someone did it would be an easy one time correction especially in comparison to the million made up misspelled names that are currently trendy. I would never not use a real uncommon name for that fear. FWIW I have a Giada which isn't in the top 1000 and I run into no problems
I'd keep Phoebe and Calista, toss Chloe. I grew up with a Calista, and no one ever seems to have a problem with her name- it's pronounced the way it looks, and isn't so uncommon that no one has ever heard of it.

The concern I have with Calista is that it's so uncommon that people will have issues spelling/pronouncing it. What do you all think?
