I'm struggling with this... I'm currently on prenatal #3. The pills I had were making me gag, so I thought I would try gummies. The first ones I got were the worst tasting thing I've ever put in my mouth. I have different gummies now, and I'm taking them okay.. but they don't have iron.

Talk with your OB. I had the same issue previously and was told the vita fusion (no iron) were okay for the 1st trimester when nausea was at its worst but not sufficient later on. Feel better!
@Msashley2010 I take Rainbow Light too!! They're on the larger side, but they're not the biggest pill I've taken I took prenatals before I got pregnant for the extra iron, and I tried a few out before settling on Rainbow Light. The Target brand was fine, but I didn't like the nutrient ratios, and the Deva Vegan prenatals made my teeth hurt. Did anyone else test out different brands?
I would suggest getting a sample pack from your OB/Midwife. I've taken some that really really upset my stomach, I puked all day every day with them and had horrible diarrhea. The day I stopped, the symptoms stopped. It's best to try some out for a couple of days and see what brand works best for your body.
*Lurker from Aug17 - technically EDD is 9/3, but I'll be having a c-section at 39 weeks (late Aug).
I'm taking Nature's Bounty that includes the recommended 200mg of DHA. It's huge, and I have to take it with food, but there's no aftertaste, or nasty vitamin burps, or constipation that I've encountered with other prenatals.
I started off with Rainbow Light, but they were making me so sick.
My OB gave me samples of a prescription. Those were working better for me plus they had folate over folic acid, but I keep forgetting to go get the full prescription filled.... *hides in shame*

@HollyGolightly09 What gummies did and didn't work for you? I have the vita-fusion gummies , which I liked because they have DHA and folic acid in them, but they give me metal mouth really badly. I have to brush my teeth and gargle slat water after I take them.
@amandarene112 The Nature's Way Alive ones were terrible... I'm taking the One a Day prenatal gummies now and they are okay. They don't have iron, though.
I've been taking the gnc brand. They are huge black pills and you have to take three! But they have like a gel coating on them so they go down pretty smoothly with no taste.

@wellhithen I've personally never seen 1000 in a prenatal. I was told 400 was recommended, 800 to be safe. I've taken 3 different kinds between my pregnancies and they've all been 800.
Anyone taking omega-3? I'm in dire need of one that doesn't make me burp fish for like three hours after swallowing...so nasty and doesn't help with the woozies!

Yes I am taking Omega-3. At my first appointment, my OB said to start taking Omega-3 and to eat salmon twice a week. She said some recent studies are showing that the Omega can be more beneficial than the PreNat. Of course she said to keep taking the prenat too. I use AdvoCare's Omegaplex. No fish burps!
