Hubby just emailed me his W-2. I think I might actually skip the chance for a potential nap to file our taxes. We have to upgrade to a van or bigger SUV with baby #4 on the way, so our refund will help greatly with car shopping.
@DeansGirl14 haha so true! Last time I was expecting we had a luncheon with awesome cookies. It was labeled "one per person." I counted myself as one, and my baby as another....
@Kudlica27 That is so funny! I mean everyone always says "now your eating for two!" so I say go for it!

Ugh! My son slept terribly and kept waking my husband and I up. When we woke up this morning my husband said, "just wait in six months it'll be worse. Up all night with a newborn and then we won't be able to rest at all because we have a toddler."
Thanks honey, because in my sleep deprived emotional state I needed that cheerful reminder.
@Lauradi1010 I was afraid I was about to be in the same type of situation but just before Christmas for the first time in her entire life DD (2.5ish) started sleeping through the night and hasn't looked back. We've only had one or two nights since that she's been restless so maybe it won't be so bad?
@Lauradi1010 I worry about the same thing, but I keep telling myself in 6 months, my toddler will be a lot more mature. He'll turn 2 about 6 weeks before the baby is born
I decided it would be fun to make cutout Valentine's Day cookies with the kids. Fun is relative I guess. I forgot how much I hate to frost cookies. Plus I am terrible at it.
@LivLew There are tons of pregnancy Facebook groups, several for each month, too. I searched out of curiosity and then came back to the Bump where I can be somewhat anonymous.
Tonight I got a massage that is being billed under personal injury protection from my car accident. I'm pretty sure some of my low back pain is from pregnancy and not the accident, but I'm going for it.
@LivLew I've noticed that too..it seems like we have some newbies that have joined over the past few weeks that maybe don't know the routine of the board yet.
@livlew I know!!!! At least someone is now nicely letting the random posters know where their post would fit in an existing thread. But I think the randoms will continue until someone decides to be a b**ch to the random posters and right now everyone on this BMB is really nice
Another random- wish me luck today. After 7 years in my current job, I'm interviewing for a new role with my employer. If this interview process gets any more dragged out I'm not going to be able to cover up this pregnancy any longer! All my dress pants barely fit. (Stretchy jeans, no problem. Structured trousers, good grief.) This new job would be a bit more money which will definitely help with day care costs down the line... and it's more in line with my master's degree than what I'm doing now. Eeeeeee.
One of my old coworkers sent me a text the other day with a couple pictures from a baby shower they threw for me last April. She said, "I forgot to send you these." Ummm, that ship has sailed. Nothing like seeing your whale self 9 months pregnant to get you through the day.
can we have "little victories"thread every week? like today i was so happy when my taste came back after being sick for a week. and today i actually got all of my dishes and supper done before DH got home at 5:30
Is anyone able to tell me how to "link" a board? I can't seem to do it on mobile and it still doesn't seem to work on my laptop. I am sure it's user error, but there has to be a way to get it done.
@Lauradi1010 I'll try to remember to help you when I'm back on my laptop tonight. On mobile until DD goes to bed. Tag me again tomorrow if I happen to forget

1. Type the word or words you want to link 2. Highlight desired word or words 3. Click on the "link" icon (the one between the smiley and the paper) 4. Paste in desired URL 5. Sit back and admire your work

Anyone else feel way bigger at the end of the day than they did in the AM? I swear. I wake up, get dressed, go to work and after lunch until I go to sleep I just feel like I'm slowly expanding and feel massive at the end of the day. I'm only 13wks!!
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
Oh yes @smallbutmighty77 same here. I wake up and think oh these jeans still look good and by lunch there is an elastic through my button hole to expand my jeans. Whatever.
@smallbutmighty77 same here. Hiding this bump after lunch is getting very difficult. I am normally very small waisted so I don't have too many non-maternity clothes that are loose and flowy. Yesterday I used a scarf and today it is a giant cardigan. I'm telling my boss after my NT scan on Monday, but still don't want entire company to know as I will only be 12.5 weeks..
@smallbutmighty77 Yes! I'm giant by the end of the day. I've gotten by so far with my LLR leggings but even they are getting snug! When is it acceptable to whip out the maternity clothes?
@smallbutmighty77 for me it's all due to gas right now. This stage of gas and bloating should subside at some point. @kristenk727 wear maternity clothes whenever you want. Comfort is key.

@LivLew I'm 5'2" and 106 my doctor said I might show sooner since I'm fairly petite, didn't expect to be rocking anything at 14weeks!! What is 6mos going to look like?!?!

Does anyone know if NXGen is the same as the Harmony test? My doc keeps referring to or genetic screening blood test as NXGen but I haven't seen much on our BMB...just Harmony and Maternit21. Google led to a board that was using NXGen and Harmony interchangeably. Just trying to be able to research the accuracy of the test we are using!

I find it a little easier to link on my laptop instead of mobile.
The only tip I would add in is that for copying the link to a thread location is to hover your mouse on top of the desired thread and right click with your mouse. You should see the option to "Copy Link Location". I find that is easier and faster when compared opening the thread and selecting the entire URL. After you've copied the link I would follow the steps above!

I'm with @livlew and @smallbutmighty77 I'm 5'4 and usually around 110. I know we shouldn't be vain, but yeah- how huge are we doing to get? There's nowhere for the baby to go but out! It's weird- I can "suck it in" and still have a few visible abs and it seems odd there's a peach-sized entity in me. But when I'm not sucking it in, wowza. There's a woman at work here who I just found out is 5 months pregnant and there's no way I would have known. She's so tall, her bump isn't noticeable.
Im with all of you, @DeansGirl14, @LivLew and @smallbutmighty77 . Im only 5', but struggled with my weight (so im a bit heavier than all of you). I have always (even when I was thin) had a pooch belly, and so that has always been an issue for me. My OB told me that I would most likely start showing super early, and in fact, the pooch is getting harder and I know theres a start of a bump under there. She did also assure me that, yes I might feel huge, becuase of how short I am, but in reality, the baby/bump wont grow so much that your body cant handle it, she basically said, think of those moms who have had 3+ babies in their tummies, they were huge, but you only have 1, there is no way that you will out grow your own body.
I think the hardest thing right now for me is that despite the fact that I have lost weight since my bfp, none of my pants fit any more. . . I have a belly band that I have to wear, or I wear dresses.

@littlebug2010@LivLew@smallbutmighty77 - totally feel the same way, but i'm on the tall & slender side.... for sure getting to the point where i wear my jeans unbuttoned whenever i'm at home and starting to feel like my form fitting AND loose tops cling to my little soft belly (not quite a bump, just mid-day squish). umm...way too early for this! i notice i'm definitely feeling more self conscious and swear my coworkers were staring at my stomach today! hoping it's just in my head... haha just in case i stocked up on cheap F21 leggings to hold it together until i need maternity wear.

I tried to post a few links on the "introduction" thread directing some of our newcomers this week to other helpful threads from this board.
I saw @Mango517 do it on the "skull theory" thread and thought it might be useful to know.
