My anatomy scan is scheduled for the 6th. I am so excited!

I haven't had any new symptoms, but I have been able to feel harder kicks!

How far along are you? 21 weeks

Appointment updates? had my AS yesterday, next apt won't be until right before Valentine's Day.
Any new symptoms or changes? sharp pain if I stand up too quickly, I really thought it was too early still for round ligament pain.
Rants/Raves/Questions? we will finally be announcing this week, now that we are sure baby is healthy.
GTKY: What would you say is your biggest parenting quirk? (Examples:All organic parenting, letting baby CIO/ never CIO, no pacifiers...) my biggest parenting quirk (or crazy mom thing) is definitely car seat safety. I'm not one of those people that try to jam my opinion down your throat but I will for sure share information if I see potential risks. My hospital has a mandatory shaken baby class you have to attend to be able to check out, I wish hospitals would have a mandatory car seat safety class that was mandatory. I once saw a new mom leaving the hospital and the straps were buckled but not tightened one bit, had they been in a accident the baby would have flown right out of that seat.
How big is baby? - the size of a banana, a pint of root beer (Yum), a red Swingline stapler, and the size of a "fat stack of cash" (who defines what size a "fat" stack is?!?!)
Appointment updates? - she had an appointment last week with her new OB, where everything looked great. Tomorrow is the anatomy scan!
Any new symptoms or changes? - We spoke last night, she said she's finally able to keep food down. She also sent me a photo of her bump...she claims she "Looks like a house"...personally, it's how I look after one to many sushi rolls, so...who am i to judge.
Rants/Raves/Questions? - nothing that I can think of.

I think we'll probably be pretty crazy about organic formula and I can't see us letting a baby CIO, but I don't see myself getting too overly crazy about it.

This is my first but I want to breatfeed/pump, cloth diaper, and no pacifiers. I will have to get baby on some type of sleep schedule since I work full time but we'll see how that goes.

GTKY: What would you say is your biggest parenting quirk? (Examples:All organic parenting, letting baby CIO/ never CIO, no pacifiers...) I'm kind of neurotic about who watches our daughter. I've only left her with my parents/in laws. And, I've never let her drive in the car with anyone but myself or hubby. She's 17 months. Curious to see if this changes with the second baby/need for help.

Any new symptoms or changes? I have hardly even thought about it. Sometimes I even forget that I am pregnant because I'm so busy chasing my 9-month old around the house.

Not sure if any of these are actually quirks, but very few people that I know do these things: I didn't nurse DS to sleep - he learned to fall asleep on his own in his bed. I am not opposed to CIO, but it really wasn't necessary for us because by the typical age of "sleep training" DS already associated bed with sleep.
We also don't own any "baby containers" (i.e. rock n' play, swings, jumperoo, etc). Just a pack n' play, crib, high chair, and car seat. I also never, ever carry DS around in his car seat. Car seats are just that - for cars (I should post that in UO Thursday!).

I see my midwife on Valentine's day, and my OB appointment and AS are in March.
Any new symptoms or changes?
Heartburn is worse. Creepy alien tickles are stronger and more consistent. I really look forward to when they are strong enough that DH and DD can feel baby move.

I'm over pelvic rest and cramps.

I don't plan to push DD to potty train. She's 18 mos and a lot of moms have been trying to get their kids to use the potty for a while, but until DD wants to try, I just don't see the point. I might change my tune when wet have two in diapers, but right now, I'd rather wait until she turns three than then deal with it now.

Still puking while brushing my teeth (which does not help give you that fresh n' clean feel!) and SPD rearing its ugly head. The latter is a reminder for me to get on the squats regimen

Everything and everyone is pissing me off!
But the light spot is that the Mr is finally getting called in for some great interviews! I'm so proud of him for not giving up or getting too down on himself for this taking a long time to find a new job.

Tried CD with DD and it did not go well. I should really give that stash away...
We are pretty big on reading food labels so we did the fancy-pants formula (Earth's Best was our go-to)
I let DD CIO now at 2+ yrs old... does that count?
We never did paci's but DD chews on a swaddle blanket to sleep.
Baby wearing was something i wanted to do but with severe back issues, I never found it comfy. Will prolly try again with this one.

Still waiting for my ultrasound appointment with MFM... Ugh. So annoyed. I've been waiting since last Monday for them to just call me back and schedule an appointment. I get that they might not have anything available for a couple of weeks, but how is it possible that they don't know what they have available? I just want an appointment scheduled. I called again today and they said to call back if I haven't heard by tomorrow afternoon.

I can't think of anything... I've tried a lot of things and different things worked for each of my kids, or for the place we were at in our lives. Kids are resilient, and we do whatever makes the kids and parents happiest.
