Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Lonely

This phase is so hard. I just need to vent. It’s being so lonely because no one else can handle your baby and your baby only wants you anyways so you’re by yourself all the time because nobody has time or energy to deal with what you’re doing right now which is one hour wake windows with a baby who sleeps for two hours then is up for one. And you have to be silent because the baby only sleeps on you. So no one can come around anyways unless they wanna sit next to you and text you to talk. This is so hard.

Re: Lonely

  • Will baby sleep in the car? Stroller? You can go for a car ride, a walk. I get that it can feel pretty isolating. But it does get better. Hang in there!

  • Just remember, this phase is temporary, and you’re doing an amazing job. Try to lean on small moments of support, whether it’s through a text or a short break when you can.
  • I highly recommend baby wearing for this phase. It helped me out a ton and I was actually able to get things done while my baby slept.

Ugh mama, I feel this SO much  My baby boy is 4 weeks old and it’s exactly like you said — he only wants me, and I feel like I’m trapped on the couch all day doing contact naps while everyone else just… lives their life. It’s lonely, exhausting, and honestly kind of isolating.
  • This season feels endless when you're in it. You're doing so much, even if it doesn’t feel seen or appreciated right now.
