@mylittleirvz loving all the soup/chili on the menu! I was going to add loaded baked potato soup on the menu for this week, but I really want to enjoy it while it's raining and today/yesterday was our last day of rain for a whole week (supposedly)!
DH is out of town for work all week so it's looking like a solid five days of Cap'n Crunch. Might get adventurous and throw in some Special K chocolatey delight.
For lunch I have smoked brisket, pulled pork, etc in the freezer that I plan to pull out
@wagnerw your breakfast cravings this whole pregnancy have been cracking me up! I got hungry about 9pm the other night and had DH make me a bowl of cereal. Bad idea. I was so sick in the night (Milk doesn't always agree with my stomach).
Yesterday I got creative and made a crock pot southwestern Mac n cheese. Not bad. And then Monday hit and the exhaustion hit and I was like "screw it" and ordered some frozen, slap in the oven meals to be delivered to my house via grocery delivery. Work is too crazy this week and so is trying to avoid DH's crazy contagious sickness (he started antibiotics today finally) so I'm not even gonna bother this week. Maybe I should wait and put that in the FFFC thread.
@wagnerw I'm with you. Currently munching on cinnamon Chex.
Tonight I went grocery shopping and had every intention of making dinner.. instead DH ended up making hot dogs and Mac and cheese bc I was too nauseous..
Tuesday- meatloaf with mashed and veggies or cottage pie haven't decided...
Wednesday- Catalina chicken with baked potato and veggies
Thursday- I'm working so DH and DD will fend for themselves. (Aka take out)
Friday- Parm crusted chicken with cheesy broccoli rice
I have to work all weekend so that's as far as I've got.. I'd love chili somewhere in the mix but DD doesn't like anything even a little spicy and DH doesn't like beans
I've missed meal plan Monday! Yesterday we had Panda Express take out. Today I made one pot chicken mushroom pasta from a video that's been floating around on Facebook. Tomorrow is turkey tacos, and beyond that I'm stuck.
@HappyAnjel I did! I made it about two weeks ago and it was pretty simple! I like simple recipes! I tried a crockpot one previously, but the potatoes came out too mushy. This one was yum!!!!
@KirstinH88 haha I've always loved breakfast food but now it's just so much more prevalent for many reasons. DH tried fighting the cereal addiction at the beginning of pregnancy, but clearly we know who won that debate. Not only does it taste good, but it's simple, no dishes, and it makes me feel full without feeling gross. I'm finding that a lot of days by the time we eat dinner my stomach already feels full of food and eating makes me feel awful. Cereal is so light that I get to eat and yet it doesn't make me feel like I overate/want to puke. It's a win-win for me
(DH is out of town this week, so since it's just me and the toddler, I get lazy )
Monday: Chicken Fried Rice Tuesday: Leftovers Wednesday: Chick-fil-a (we have swim class right before dinner, so drive through is easy, haha) Thursday: Pizza Friday: White Chicken Chili with Rice
...can you tell that DS loves things with rice? Haha.
I'm a little late but here is the deal Monday: grilled steak, roasted sweet potato with strawberry spinach salad Tuesday: turkey meatballs and one pot Mexican quinoa Wednesday: turkey tacos and salad Thursday: Indian butter chicken, rice and naan Friday: chicken satay with peanut sauce and fried rice
I really want to try the loaded potato soup recipe so maybe this weekend!
I'm being a little lazy this week and ordering a blue apron... which mostly means I don't have to figure out when to go grocery shopping.
Monday: Chili Nachos Tuesday: Butternut Squash and Sweet potato soup Wednesday: Blue Apron - Tacos Thursday: Blue Apron - African peanut chicken Friday: Breakfast for Dinner and a movie with friends
I'm looking for some inspiration for grab and go breakfast... I had been doing yogurt and granola but the kind I buy started giving me too much heartburn. Toast or cereal is my go to right now but feel like I want to find something more interesting/nutritious.
@jdupree15 I've made breakfast "muffins" in a cupcake pan, then refrigerate them. I grab one in the morning and pop it in the micro for a 30-45 seconds and yum!
I'm jealous of so many of these menus haha. Late to the show, but here's our week. Not too exciting.
Monday: pasta with meat sauce Tuesday: steak tips, green beans, and fries Wednesday: We were supposed to have a date night for Restaurant Week, but both kids are sick so not sure yet. Probably baked chicken with veggies Thursday: Tacos Friday: caprese pasta
Tonight's dinner is moving to Saturday and we are just going to have leftovers tonight. I'm bummed because I was really looking forward to those Lots of Tots. Hurry up Saturday!
