@meg2704, you'll probably need to work with an endocrinologist after pregnancy. In my experience, it's better to work with the specialist than let another doctor treat it. I've tried going through my general practitioner and my OB, and always gotten better results and clearer answers working with the endo, since that's where their expertise is. That being said, if your condition does resolve after pregnancy, you'd probably need to see them very infrequently.
@meg2704 I've been having crazy tailbone pain while working. I am trying to sit on a pillow, but it isn't helping a ton. Let me know if you find something that works.
@MKRLTX True story, a girl in my prenatal class went to the chiropractor for back and tailbone pain. Know how the Dr fixed it?.... FINGER IN THE BUTT!!! Ahhhh!
Pain in upper thighs from sleeping on side. I have a snoogle too, but still hurts. Wah. @merrylea you made me never want to try a chiropractor now lol.
My nipples are also itchy and my milk ducts or something are scabbed. Same thing happened last pregnancy. It's only a matter of time until I start leaking.
Ive been having groin and pelvic pain. So sore and hurts to stand up, walk, after laying down. Well today was my anatomy scan and the tech had to dig for 15 minutes to get good shots of her head because she is jammed so low. She kept making comments about how low her head was and how she was pushing on my bladder. Good times . Guess that explains my pain.
@mamaelle27 thank you for your help on my new found thyroid issues. I'm not sure if it has been going on longer, that's something I plan to ask about as a possibility. The symptoms I read about are fatigue and hair loss. I have been attributing those to things over the last year to having had my son. I know hair loss is common postpartum when hormone levels even back out and fatigue because of life changing so much with a new little one. My doctor referred me to one endocrinologist but their first appointment isn't until February 21. I'm going to call and ask them to refer me to a different one so I can hopefully get seen sooner. I'm already high risk due to two other medical issues so the more appointments the merrier!
Still nauseous after eating... 5 months tomorrow. I also only get hungry in the middle of the night. I usually eat something really light. Headaches come and go. I know I'm not drinking enough liquid. Still on a nightly dose of unisom / b6. Hoping nausea goes away any day.

Wait, what? I had no idea they did such things to help back issues...

@JAGinMI - I think it was specifically for her tailbone being out of wack. I have been to the Chiropractor plenty of times, however, without any appendages in my butt.
I feel like my fatigue has come back in full force. The last couple of days I just can't handle being awake in the afternoons. Also count me in on the dizzy spells. I had to lean hard on my cart a few times in target today because I got so lightheaded.

I'm totally going to ask my Chiropractor friend about this... I feel like that's totally out of their scope of practice lol
edit it to add: totally within their scope of practice... but her teachers in school only spoke of it briefly and didn't train them on it. Not many DCs will do it but here is what she said: "The concept is putting the finger up the butt to hook it onto the coccyx to pull on it."
@mezalune I've been having crazy heart palpitations which my obgyn says are normal due to excess fluid but they are so uncomfortable! It feels like my heart is in my throat and it only happens when I relax!
So many emotions this week, so little time. Came down with an awful fever, cough and flu. The inability to take medication led to me being stuck in bed for 6 days straight, which was not fun. Appetite's been terrible...i feel like I'm going through morning sickness again, when I didn't feel like eating anything and I just ate for the sake of eating for the baby. Just when I thought my belly was starting to pop, I lost some weight over the time that i got sick, and I swear everything looks smaller. I'm a little bit torn about whether I actually enjoy people going 'oh my, you're 5 months along...you're not even showing!!' or whether I hate it lol. It's kind of nice to see the surprise on peoples faces, but would be nice to see a bump since I haven't felt any movements yet. And god the peeing! the coughing adds more pressure to the bladder and I find myself having to run to the toilet everytime I hve to cough or sneeze coz otherwise I pee my pants a little (sorry TMI!)! *aaaaaaaand breathe* Sorry guys, a little bit of a frustrated sickly rant! I don't mean to sound ungrateful....I'm really not...just needed to get it all out lol! I'm sure it'll all be worth it when my little boy comes along! Thanks for being a great venting board ladies!
@LMMama I am exhausted too. It is so annoying because I want my energy back!
My other weird thing is maybe round ligament pain because it is my lower left side (usually) that has been really hurting lately. It doesn't stick around forever, but longer than I would prefer.

I am 16 weeks and also feeling tailbone pain sitting at my desk at work. It's pretty uncomfortable and I considered going to the chiropractor, but I don't think im ready for "butt stuff"
I'll be lurking to see if either of you find relief elsewhere....
Alright, I try not to focus on crazy symtpoms too much otherwise I Google and freak myself out...
Anyone had intense cramping in the lower abdomen area? Like takes your breath away, lasts at a minimum 15 minutes each time, and you can't do anything to make it stop?
I called my OB's office since it has been going on for a week now and apparently made it through 2 nurse levels to my OB as it concerned them enough for me to talk directly to him... I'm just worried as I don't have an appt until 2/2 and my last one was 1/3.
He left it up to me, I can come in and they could do a transvaginal u/s to measure my cervix and make sure it is not preterm labor but based on my last pregnancy he told me he isn't worried.
Ladies please tell me some of you are having insomnia like I am. I awake like wide awake at 130-2 every night. I roll around in bed for no less than an hour sometimes two before I can get myself back to sleep. I wake up exhausted every morning.
Also on a weird note, after seeing my babies MRI images yesterday it showed that she has pretty much got all my organs shoved up into my upper belly and under my rib cage. The only thing left down low is my bladder. It was super gross to look at. No wonder I'm out of breath quickly.
I've been awake since before 3. I finally started to feel like I could fall asleep again around 4:30, but decided it wasn't worth it bc my alarm was going to go off at 5.
Not every night but a lot of the time I'm up for about an hour around 2AM. It usually takes going to the couch to fall back asleep. Last night I had some 2:30AM Cheerios.
I huff and puff climbing my stairs, and I still gag daily.
@meg2704, not this time, but I had terrible tailbone pain when I was pregnant with DD. It hurt to sit, stand, or change between the two. I was working an office job at the time and looked like and old woman trying to stand up.
@kdanjou, I also has that weird numbness and tingling in my hands and wrists with my last pregnancy. It went away as soon as DD was born.
@jennas312 i was dizzy with vertigo last weekend and when i looked it up Dr Google told me it is def common, could be blood flow, could be dehydration, or exahustion. just drink up and relax
