I always find it funny how some weeks, this board goes to TOWN on the UOs, and then other weeks, we're all apparently sunshine and unicorns. It's like all our periods have synched up.

I'll go: all the non-pregnancy related signature options for the site do not work for me at all. I need quirky, a little offbeat. The fact my baby was the size of a turkey when he came out? Funny as hell; I liked knowing that about my baby. The baby tickers are all just so... straight up. *sigh*

And I'm guessing the fact that I can say this and think about this will make this a pretty unpopular O, because I know a lot of you ladies are uncomfortable as fuck. Sorry...

I guess I have one. People have been "forcing" a change in the way I view them based on their reaction(s) to the latest Trump press conference and Senate hearings. I am not being super judgey about it, or at least trying not to, but there are people I know who are vehemently defending Trump, his behavior, and his appointments. The people who can't admit even a little that this is looking a little troublesome, that he might be making some really biased and sketchy appointments, that he is a little bit of a hot head- yeah I think you're an idiot and I don't want anything to do with you. I am not even asking for people to denounce him or say they disagree, but just admit that this isn't looking 100% rosey. Oh and the people who are "excited"? I want to barf on them. Sorry if anyone fits into these categories.

I feel you @peachesnbean. There are some appointees that I disagree with very strongly, and that's fine. I'm not going to agree with every presidential administration on policy issues. But as for the ones that have zero qualifications for the post they've been handed, I'd really like to see Republicans and Democrats work together to force a better, more qualified selection.

I am not interested in a natural no drugs birth to empower me and my baby. I have no desire to find out if my body can do that. Give me the drugs please. Depending on circumstances I am hoping to do a good portion of laboring at home, but the videos of women grunting and crying through transition did not inspire me, lol.

I will cheer on anyone else who does want that experience though!

Yep I hate beer too. It taste horrible, I do not understand why people like it. There are way better forms of alcohol, like all other forms.

Ohh my gosh, some people I have to just stop talking too. I am just like really you do not care even a little that Russia may have tried to sway our elections? Shouldn't that be a bipartisan thing? Especially since many of you I know just one year ago hated Russia, because they were pinko commies....

And then the nomination picks... it is like I understand I will not agree with everything they agree with but can we not at least get someone who has ANY experience in the field they will lead?! As a teacher I need to get a bachelors degree in my subject area, with a teaching certification, and have continuing education classes to keep my certification. With my potential boss Betsy DeVos, she has NO experience at all in public education, no education at all in education, I have more qualifications to be the Secretary of Education than she does. The closest to experience she has is donating money to Charter school causes. But if donating money makes someone an expert in the field then I should be the Secretary of Defense with the amount of money I have donated to military/veterans charity groups. I mean come on, she did not even know what IDEA, that is one of the most basic education laws that we are taught in education 101 class.... Sorry need to stop ranting now.

I am too much of a wuss to even consider natural birth. I will fully admit it. Props to people who can! And after 2+ years at a fertility doctor, needles dont even make me bat an eye. I even gave myself my own PIO intramuscular shots because I didnt want to have to go to the office every morning!

It's not that I hate all of the specialized abbreviations on The Bump and similar sites and forums, but I'm definitely overwhelmed by them.... It took me a while to find out what UO means lol.

@HeatSparks this was actually my UO early on. We decided DH could stand for "dear husband" or "damn husband"

I still find the DH/DS/DD too saccharine so I just say "H" or Hubs.

I agree with the DH, sometimes he is not so dear haha and do use just H occasionally. Although I still use DD for my daughter since I think she is so dear (for the time being)! Maybe I'll change my mind when she gets the terrible twos or that preschool attitude haha.

Riffing on the "hubs" nickname, I cannot stand "hubby" or "wifey". I judge friends and strangers alike who wear anything with "wifey" on it.

Eta: I would also judge anyone who wore something with "hubby" on it, but I have yet to see it.

I really don't like go fund me unless used for dire circumstances, like life threatening situations or family being unable to afford a funeral for a loved one. I get it that sometimes people are desperate. However, I think it has gotten way out of hand and some people have no shame. I've seen them shared by people I actually know for things like vacations and weddings. Why does anyone think those type of things are anyone else's responsibility to pay for? No, just no.

@LC12261012 I totally agree with the go fund me! I've seen some pretty ridiculous (in my opinion) reasons to start them! Like, your house burned down, sure I'll help out; you want a vacation, NO, save up for one like the rest of us!

LOL @NiceyMeany! I call H Hubs and he HATES IT. He says it is too close to "Chubs" so I'm trying to stop. Also, my my name in his phone is "Wifey" but I don't have the tee shirt ;-)

I don't care what ppl call their spouse but I can't stand when grownups talk to each other in baby talk. I have 2 friends who are incredibly capable intelligent women and they talk to their SO in baby talk. It drives me insane and I don't understand why a grown ass man would like or tolerate it

My husband refers to me as his honey or his woman...both I am good with.

Lol one of H's relatives started a gofundme lying saying it was for her kids medical bills. Even though they were all on Medicaid and had no medical bills. She then told me it was to buy her kids Christmas gifts because she was jobless (by choice), but all she bought her girls was a doodle bear. I have no idea what she did with the remaining $2k+ she raised. All I know is that she was pissed at H and I for not donating to it and complained that H was being selfish with his own money that he earned.
We even bought her kids Christmas gifts to try and help out because they were only getting the one gift, but she refused them. If her gfm wasn't good enough to donate to, our gifts weren't acceptable.

After that, I've never been a huge fan of gfm.

My best friend calls her husband "hubby bear" in a baby voice on the regs. I love them both so much but it's a little difficult to hide my cringe. Lol
