  • Hi all! I'm a speech language pathologist, working in an elementary school
  • I work as a medical scribe currently, but am starting my masters in physician assistant studies in May. Love seeing all the STEM, ladies!
  • Middle scool math teacher turned SAHM when my first was born A12. I'm currently  working toward opening a bakery.

I'm a proofreader for a Christian curriculum. Been at my job since I was a junior in college and I love my work! I'll probably stay full time after baby, but we will see.

  • @mrsmgsee What curriculum do you work on if you don't mind my asking? Is it a curriculum for homeschool?
  • I work with helping people see if they qualify and apply for insurance in a remote hospital position- full time. It's a pretty good job, we get the hospital's great benefits, and it makes you feel really good when you help someone that comes to the hospital completely uninsured lift a huge financial weight off their shoulders.
  • @JNR6510 It's the Abeka homeschool curriculum. I work on the digital side of things, getting quizzes and tests correctly entered into the computer so that schools and homeschooled kids can take tests and get them graded automatically. It's a lot of fun! Have you heard of us?

Yes. My cousin's use Abeka to homeschool their kids.
  • @mrsmgsee I went to a private school, and was then homeschooled. I've used more Abeka in my life than I can possibly recount! We plan to homeschool our child, but I obviously have no idea what curriculums we'll use yet since our baby only just has a heartbeat, let alone a learning aptitude.

  • @amandarene112 I was homeschooled as well, and used Abeka throughout my highschool years. So cool to have a fellow former homeschooler on here!

Ha! I've been a SAHM for the past year and a half now but before that I was a freelance camera operator for TV and film in Los Angeles for just shy of 20yrs. Worked in entertainment, news, sports etc...
Since I've moved I've worked a handful of times on stuff that passes through my area...like the presidential debate and a soccer match. Was asked to do Super Bowl but it's waaay too many odd hours to juggle with my 2yo.

Stuck in box-- Yes, I have a feeling my personal/family life will be much more of a priority over these next few years. I don't have the option of staying home, but I may have to find something with a more family-friendly schedule/lifestyle.

@bayhunter6 I'm trying to figure out the same thing. Hopefully I don't have a c-section so I can go back sooner. I just photographed a newborn yesterday and they are definitely my favorite but such a workout! Do you only do newborn photography?

Right now I photograph a little of everything so being due the end of September is the worst possible time because October is my busiest month (and also the month I'll have to take off.) With everyone wanting outdoor family photos. Oh well.

I am am organic farmer and produce specialist. Work on a small, family owned farm and have for a few years. We take winters off but pull crazy hours in the summer. Work with my husband, two others, and the farm owner. I quit a law office assistant position to do this and I wouldnt have it any other way. It aligns with our values of sustainability and clean, minimal footprint living.
This is my life goal. I want a farm and am trying to figure out how. I am a teacher and recently moved to Vegas which feels like I'm further away from what I want since I lived in a small town before but we could never get land there.
