Does anyone else have itchy skin? It's starting to go away, but for a while I've been unbearably itchy, especially at night.
Yes! Pregnancy during winter is doing a number on my skin.
Add me to the camp of feeling the baby move a lot for a few days and hardly at all others.
@heath313 I also have started getting carpal tunnel. I got it really bad last time, but I typed all day long at work and attributed it to that. I'm not working outside the home now and have already gotten it and it has worked it's way up to my elbow already.

The nipple itch I have deserves it's own special place in hell. My legs and sides of my stomach also itch. I've reduced my shower frequency to keep my skin from overdrying

The itch is real! My skins always gets crazy dry while pregnant. That fact paired with the dry winter air and need for sweaters is making things 10x worse!
I'm super itchy as well... I find myself trying to rub my arms up and down inside my sweaters to scratch my arms!! Lower legs are pretty bad as well... I wasn't pregnant that long in the winter last time so this feels like my normal winter dryness/itching amplified x10!

My stomach and my chest have been so itchy. I also have this rash on the top of hands that has been itchy on and off. I have to go to the dermatologist on Friday.
I did not breakout at all in the first trimester but the second trimester has not been too nice for my skin.

this! my skin has always been an issue. IVF hormones made things worse, 1st tri things calmed down nicely and now the past two weeks i'm back to IVF status
So DD finally fully weaned about a week ago, and I just rock her to sleep now (yay). I hadn't had any boob pain at all, and I figured "well I'm already lactating, so it's not like they need to prepare for anything." Right. The past few days, they have been heavy and sore as all get-out. Guess it doesn't take long to get that out of your system? WTF. I mean how much prep work could they possibly have to do here, really.

I was so shocked by this too! Within a week of DS weaning I was like holy delayed onset of boob pain. Like why are they so heavy and veiny and sore?! I have been lactating for 20 months what are you prepping for?!!
@amberp1528 re: the sciatic pain, I started getting it around 10 weeks and have been seeing a chiropractor experienced in prenatal care and it's helping!
@LMMama re: the bleeding, me too! I saw my dentist in December and he recommended flossing once a day. He said I didn't need to do more than that, but that plaque build up can make the bleeding worse through aggravating the gums, so keeping them clear helps it from getting worse, but the excessive blood is totally normal unfortunately.
For those of you with itchy skin, I have found a God send. Aqua Glycolic lotion. They make separate lotions for your face and body. My face has recently gotten so dry that it started flaking and it literally hurt. My normal face regimen just wasn't cutting it anymore.
Not itchy but my face and scalp are sooooo dry. I always put lotion on my face but then when I put my make up over it I get all flaky! Even though I use the same lotion and make up as before!!
Is it weird that I'm craving crushed ice? I've wanted it all week. I try not to eat ice since I have crowns and veneers. But a huge cup of Sonic crushed ice sounds amazing right now.
And I commiserate with the dry skin! I lotion twice a day and still have weird scaley dry patches.
FTM here. How much back/leg pain is normal? I have a maternity body pillow I've been using, and it definitely helps to have something between my knees, but I still wake up to increasing levels of discomfort. I feel awful by the time my alarm goes off, like I need to sleep another whole night because I'm so sore (not that it would help).
I don't expect no pain, but I'm a little scared because I know it's going to get a lot worse as I get bigger, and I'm only 20 weeks now. Any magic tips? Sorry, I hope this isn't a super stupid question/complaint.
@HgPa I would say it probably varies. I'll be 20 weeks on Saturday and if I even sit in any position for too long I get very uncomfortable and am in pain when I stand up.
Do you get more emotional as pregnancy progresses? I feel like a wreck. I literally cried for over a half hour because my NFL team is moving and I don't even live there anymore..but the memories... anyway, I am finding myself tearing up at almost everything and it's getting a little ridiculous. Just curious if this continues to get worse throughout pregnancy..
@MKRLTX I Feel like I was pretty emotional through and through with DS pregnancy...this one has made me fairly weepy again too. But I'm a big emotional baby to begin with...soooo, hang tight!
Baby boy is moving more again so my anxieties have somewhat subsided. I don't remember my boob/nipple pain being so bad last time...they're SO sensitive!
@Stankonia2014 good to know! I didn't think to google what it could mean. I did have my iron checked at the beginning because I had a pretty serious blood loss during a MC prior to getting pregnant. It was ok at the beginning but could be low . I was on iron supplements before I got pregnant.
@MKRLTX. I am not getting more emotional but I am getting meaner or bitchier this pregnancy. In not sure why I'm so angry this time around. I'm usually very emotional when I'm pregnant and cry over everything.
I'm at both ends of the spectrum. I'm either super weepy or batshit crazy bitchy. I yelled at hubs the other day via text message because I couldn't find my bag of cheese popcorn and I thought he'd taken it to work with him. It was at the back of the refrigerator where I couldn't see it.
I have some random pain in my left butt cheek, not like pain from doing squats or something but close to the bone? I don't know.... I'm also feeling some tightening in my lower area, like my body is stretching things out. It comes and goes but worries me sometimes. I get round ligament pain a lot whenever I try to turn over in bed or when I cough or sneeze.
UGH the round ligament pain! I have been getting it really bad when i try to move around in bed as well and it takes all i have not to scream in pain or punch DH just to make myself feel better! haha.
@MKRLTX I've been feeling very emotional lately and that is so not me. I wasn't a big cryer during my first pregnancy so this is really catching me off guard. I've cried over not being able to control my dog a few times. I cried yesterday because I thought my fiancé was going to be home before me and he could make dinner instead of me for once and he WASN'T. And I didn't want him to know I was so upset over that when he got home so I was literally holding back tears for about an hour. I barely even spoke because I didn't want to cry and be embarrassed about it.
My best friend is here visiting and I'm thinking of keeping her and sending my hubby back. I know it's the hormones but she's so much more sympathetic and DD loves her.
Does eating your feelings in Taco Bell count as a symptom? Asking for a friend
Taco Bell has been my weird pregnancy craving. Weird because I NEVER eat Taco Bell, and I have wanted it almost weekly the past few weeks. Last sunday I put away 5 tacos myself. Gross.

This is going to sound weird, but chewing on ice (if you are chewing it) is a sign of anemia. I can't explain why, but it might be worth keeping an eye on your iron levels.

Probably belongs in FFFC, but I've never eaten Taco Bell. Sorry everyone...
@Elyse1384 I loathe Taco Bell. I actually never even think to go there. But thanks to pregnancy cravings, I saw a commercial about 2 weeks ago, and then it was all I could think about.
@Stankonia2014@Wearmi1 - for a second I was excited because in college DH and I discovered cold popcorn is really good, but no you don't share my weirdness.. it was just on top of your fridge. lol That being said.. you all should try putting microwave popcorn in the freezer for a few minutes.

Thanks!! Someone else pointed this out as well so I'm definitely going to bring it up with my doctor Tuesday. I did have my iron checked at the beginning of this pregnancy but sounds like it needs to be rechecked!
Anyone else have restless legs? It's mainly when I'm sitting with DH and watching tv - but he tells me I'm practically running marathons in my sleep some nights. Oh, the joys of pregnancy!
vertigo?? started last night when I got up after laying down watching tv and was so bad I had to just go to bed. I have never had vertigo before but this was horrible. Even this morning still feel off in the head. (hahaha) Not even sure if this is something that's related to pregnancy.
The weird thing with the dry skin is that my freckles/small moles I guess are like sticking up more. Probably has to do with me expanding. I feel like my stomach is sucked in too. Does that make sense? Maybe it's just the skin firming up. I can't wait until anatomy scan in over a weeeeeek.

Google tells me I am right, it is iron. Maybe mention it to your OB next time, just in case.
