Pampers or huggies or favorite cloth diaper? I've bought two packs of each of the pampers and huggies and I'm trying to figure out which to stock up on when it comes to disposables. We plan to cloth diaper for the most part but would like some disposables to use every once in awhile.

We cloth diapered and loved the BumGenius Freetimes for during the day and Sustainablebabyish OBFs for night. Once DD was potty trained, we used Huggies Pull-ups at night and she reacted to those but doesn't react to Pampers Easy-ups. Who knew?

But we are mostly a cloth family. I've got a full stash of bumgenius pocket aio, and a full stash of bestbottom shells with snap in inserts. Love my fluffbutt.
Fun info: when we registered and Babies r us, the lady told us to register for a couple brands, but that for some reason Huggies work better for boys and pampers for girls. Turned out to be true for us
We did try the Up & Up brand by Target, but they gave our daughter a rash.
Also, I tried the Honest Co. diapers. Not very absorbent, and didn't conture to my baby right. They also weren't very soft. I thought that especially for the price, they were a big disappointment.
Edit - words are hard

For cloth diapers, we loved thirsties prefolds for the newborn phase and bumgenius/blueberry pocket and All-in-ones.
That said... I've heard different brands are better for boys to control leaks. And different brands different products used in making the diaper. Certain ones may irritate their skin. I personally wouldn't stock up on one brand or size.

But I've done a lot of babysitting and each kid was unique. It's weird to say, but they "fit" each kid a bit different

Wasn't a fan of target's brand. They smelled of urine too strongly to me.
Everyone in my area raves about Aldi's diapers bc they are so incredibly cheap. I might try for this LO
I never noticed any leaks with him, blow outs sure but I think that's to be expected with any baby in any diaper. As long as his penis is pointing down in the diaper, there should be no difference in absorbency with that of a female.
My in-laws also just bought huggies wipes on accident last week while we were on vacation, and DS ended up with a terrible rash. It just varies from baby to baby.

I like Pampers when they are babies and Huggies for when they start moving around.
I hate Huggies newborn diapers.
