This is for all our March moms who have experienced a loss- we are here to support one another!
1. How far along are you?
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to?

4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food?
Re: PGAL Check In 1/9
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? My next appointment is next Monday- I am seeing a new doctor I haven't met yet before so kind of curious how I will like him. DH and I are taking our childbirth class on Saturday!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I passed my repeat 3 hour glucose test with flying colors!! So happy I don't have to check my blood sugar 4 x day but I will continue to watch my diet and as long as I don't start measuring large all of a sudden, things should be okay!
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? I love making soup in the winter time- chili, stews...things like that. Nothing better on a cold day to warm you up!
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? Just a check up next week. Kind of jealous of all the ladies still getting ultrasounds. It's nerve racking not knowing exactly what's going on with the baby. But he's kicking away so that's reassuring.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: these next three months feel like they are going to drag by! I can't wait till after my shower in 2 weeks and for my registry completion discount so I can start shopping and setting up for baby.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? Hands down Grilled Cheese.
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? Meeting/choosing pediatricians this week. Next week, OB appointment. The week after I see my heart doctor and my endocrinologist. Fun times.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: my next OB appointment is with the OB that diagnosed my miscarriage. I feel like he did so insensitively and I am not eager to see him again.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? Warm chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven. Yummmmmm.
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? I have an appointment Thursday. I'm looking forward to my maternity picture this weekend. Weather forecast keeps changing for the worse - 80% chance of rain or freezing rain but I'm getting these pictures hell or high water ... haha... The photographer is a friend of ours so I know we will make the best out of it.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just plugging along. I find that I have one day of high energy and then the next day all I want to do is lay around.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? oh man this is a good question... chicken pot pie. But I have found that it's made differently depending on where you live. the kind I like is the actual pie with a crust that is mostly solid. I've also had it more like a soup which I do not like as much.

1. How far along are you? 31 weeks; single-digit weekly countdown!
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? Next appt. is tomorrow. Each week to me is a milestone, but I'm particularly looking forward to 35 weeks, because IF anything happens and LO arrives early, she's considered "late preterm." I still prefer to deliver a full-term healthy baby in March, but it's comforting to know with each passing week that she's more and more prepared for the outside world.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm sitting here eating my lunch as we speak. I'm leaning over and trying not to make a mess, and the baby keeps kicking the edge of the table like "Sit farther back!" Can I blame my baby for why I'm a sloppy eater the next couple months?
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? tomato soup and grilled cheese
Re: cooking apron - That's a fantastic idea! I may also start wearing a bib when brushing my teeth for similar reasons.
@dubcompanion - sooo glad I'm not the only one getting stuff on my clothes. The apron is a great idea! When I'm at home though I've just learned to live in old firehouse shirts from DH. Still - going out to eat is getting embarrassing. I can't tell you the last time I didn't wear my food while out to eat.
@Spartanrd4 - congrats on the glucose test!!
1. How far along are you? 31 weeks 6 days
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? We have our next ultrasound on Monday to see how fat this little guy has gotten. I'm getting a little more concerned because this is day three I haven't been able to eat or drink regularly without the morning sickness coming back full force. Last night my dinner was broth and crackers and I couldn't even finish that I had to lay down. The other day I went 14 hours and realized I forgot to eat anything and the only thing I had to drink was some apple juice/ginger ale mixed together.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I still come in to check on this group and the high risk group. The rest of the board is kind of pissing me off. I've noticed a lot more cattiness lately from certain members and they are being really rude to other people on here. One of the reasons I loved our birth month is because we didn't have that drama. There's one member I feel is very self centered and she only ever posts about herself and rarely seems interested in anyone else - yet people seem to kiss her rear when she posts. She has been really nasty on the boards and I feel she is encouraging the behavior. They don't like that some people don't post a lot and subsequently attack them when they do post then?
Oh well.. like I said I really only check in on this group and the high risk one. I have a really full life outside of message boards and this was my place to come to for others who have had that horrible life fear of losing yet another child. Even though my DH has suffered through all of our miscarriages with me - I feel like I'm overly emotional at times when it comes to our losses and he doesn't have that same deep connection with the lost babies I did. So this group really helped with that fear to know that I wasn't alone and someone else was constantly checking the toilet paper after every wipe, or worrying every day if their baby had stopped developing suddenly, or to wait in tears hoping to hear the heartbeat at every doctor's appointment. The worst part is - even after all this is over and I'm holding him in my arms - I know I'll be that crazy person who doesn't sleep because I'm terrified of the worst for every moment. I'll sneak in his room to see him breathing up close, I'll wear him as much as possible so I know he's safe, etc. Especially working in the ER I've seen way too many horror stories with infants that don't end well. It just instills a paranoia into me.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? Normally when I don't have morning sickness (which we all know lasts ALLLLLLLL DAYYYY) I love soups/chili. I'm going to admit though I'm horrible at making soup. I can cook pretty much anything else but for some reason soup/chili I will mess it up. Not enough broth or wrong seasonings, etc. So DH is our family soup maker - which makes it taste even better because I don't have to cook it.
Baby #2 - March 2017
Also, I was just thinking about the "PGAL Brain" and how I doubt it will suddenly go away after delivery - I'm already paranoid of SIDS. And I agree that this group was my saving grace in this pregnancy.... Now that I know that other people's fears also don't end after a healthy (knock on wood) delivery, I hope people come back to keep checking in...
@spartanrd4 I’m so glad you passed your 3hr. The 4X a day finger sticks are what has me all bent about the possibility of failing the 3hr. Also, I love a good stew/chili deal in the winter! Mmmm.
@BaylieGirl I’m sure it’s hard not knowing what’s going on in there, but remember that a lot of us having US now are because there is some kind of risk factor. Try to focus on the fact that the doctors have that much confidence that your LO is right on track that you don’t need it. That probably doesn’t help MUCH, but at least it’s something! Also, I can’t argue with grilled cheese either. Yummy.
@justanotherusername16 Oh, I am sorry you have to see that doctor. Nothing worse than an insensitive one at a time like that. I REALLY hope he isn’t the on call doc when you go in labor, but if he is I hope he fully redeems himself on your big day! Also, the apron is a genius idea!!!
@sarahbobby I hope the weather holds out for your pictures. A little SNOW might be nice for them. Freezing rain is another thing entirely.
@dubcompainion yay for SINGLE digit weekly countdown!!! Crazy right?! I have been trying to focus on how much more prepared she will be with every passing week too in the event my little lady comes early. It definitely helps me. I am also getting drips on my belly more frequently that I would like to admit. I also get it wet/dirty bumping it on the counter and stuff when I am cooking or washing my hands.
@marshmallowfarts I think my fears will remain too even after I have her in my arms. I think I will worry about her the rest of my life. That’s what Mom’s do! The loss related boards and threads have helped me tremendously through my journey. My DH has been very supportive but it wasn’t his body so he doesn’t fully understand. The ladies here just know. I’m happy you continue to check in! I only participate here and there on the other threads.
1. How far along are you? 29+1
2. Next appointment/ any milestone you're looking forward to? Next appointment is tomorrow. 3hr glucose test L I have a bad feeling I am going to fail that too because I am old AF, my Dad is Type II and I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life despite only gaining about 15lbs so far while being KU. I am looking forward to my childbirth class all day on the 24th!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I don’t want to have to deal with GD. It is really not that big a deal but Grrrrr! Not sure if I have posted in the past on this thread or my ticker change about my Mom’s health struggles, but they continue. I had so hoped that the baby would get her out of her funk, but it hasn’t helped. They are talking about doing shock therapy on her as a last resort. She’s in a rehab hospital now after being in the hospital dehydrated around New Year’s Eve. I’m not sure she is really taking advantage of the excellent physical therapy they have. Sigh.
4. GTKY: What is your favorite winter comfort food? Probably either chili or homemade mac & cheese with lots of stinky cheese in it.

@marshmallowfarts While I don't blame moms at all for having labor/childbirth fears because of the physical pain, I'm much more anxious about my baby making it out safely - and remaining safe and sound. I'll also be checking on my baby constantly to make sure she's breathing, particularly if she's a good sleeper. With my luck, I'll have a baby that moms of colicky babies DREAM of, yet I'll be stressed out because she's so dang quiet at night. It's kind of like how I had a pretty easy first trimester in retrospect, yet I was unnerved the whole time because my MMC pregnancy was mild in symptoms too. *sigh* We got your back, girl! PgAL brain is something else.
