i feel huge...im already bigger than i was at the end with DS.. I'm normally very fit and the love handles and stretch marks are getting me down. I can't wait to just have my body back
This is #2, and I agree that I feel as large or larger than I was at the end with #1. I'm fully at the point of needing to roll out of bed like an Oompa Loompa. How are we gonna get through the next two months?!?!
45 lbs so far with twins I am a hot mess. I grew out of all of my maternity shirts in my normal size (L or XL) and have moved on to 2X or 3X... This is doing wonders for my self esteem.
I clicked into this thread thinking the OP was feeling tremendously tremendous... like feeling awesome and I was going to congratulate her and ask for her secrets.
"I dont know if I can do this for another #__ weeks" : what I say to my husband daily! Praying I can be one of the lucky ones that avoids being "overdue!"
My maternity shirts are getting too short and unless I have the full panel pants pulled up underneath, I have a lovely naked gut hanging out
I had NO idea there was a chance I'd grow out of maternity tops well before the due date! (FTM ignorance) If I'd known that could happen, I wouldn't have splurged so much at Motherhood Maternity back in Sept/Oct!
Oh, who am I kidding. I totes still would've.
Is 31 weeks too late for one last MM shopping spree?
@dubcompanion you ABSOLUTELY have to do another shopping spree if you've outgrown your clothes! This is all so uncomfortable, you have to at least have clothes that fit! I refused to buy new work clothes when I outgrew my more professional maternity wear, but I absolutely stocked up on new bigger cozy stuff for around the house. (signed, someone who wasn't told being pregnant with twins means two rounds of clothes).

This is number 4 for me, but I was just thinking the same thing as you. Its a chore to just role out of bed and I cant even imagine taht I am supposed to get even bigger in the next 10 weeks. Im going to fell like I'll need a crane to get me out of bed.
Feeling like my belly can't stretch anymore but STM here so I know the possibilities are endless! Don't worry ladies as bad as you think you look just remember we are all gorgeous!!
@anonellis Buying two rounds of clothing for a twin pregnancy definitely makes sense! Back in the fall, my maternity tops ranged from "too big to wear in public," to "just right with some room to spare." Oddly enough, the ones that were too big for the longest time were the first ones to be way too small - and they're my casual weekend/lounge tees. They're from Target so not as huge of a deal to replace. My MM work clothes are snug but still doing their job, kind of. I'll probably go shopping in the next week so I'm not SOL one morning before work!
I remember the days of feeling adorbs in all my long tunics. Now they look like tiny t-shirts and my regular clothes are crop tops. I second everyone who says that there's no shame in grabbing some cheap comfy clothes for the duration.
For STMs: when were you back in your regular clothes?
Me too. I only bought leggings because the maternity pants don't fit. They are either to tight or to loose in the hips. But all my shirts were long enough to still cover my butt. However this morning I had to change my shirt because it was way to short. It barely covered the panel. I would like to wear a dress or 2 but it's to cold out and I don't have any tights to wear while pregnant or shoes. The turning over in bed thing is bad also. It takes so long that it's just easier to stay on one side.
I was so pleased with myself for not outgrowing my nonmaternity underwear while pregnant. I thought that was a measure of not having gained much weight beyond the massive belly. Then I ordered a few new pairs of my usual go to underwear in my usual size (hanky panky logo boy shorts) and they are sooooooo comically too tight. So basically I just stretched out all my underwear over the course of this pregnancy and thought I was tiny and cute (despite my 45 pound weight gain to date).
My belly button looks like it's been bruised to death. This happened with DS at the end. It's too early for this nonsense. I'd like to just sleep (comfortably) the next 9 weeks plzkthx.

@babyisthenewblack I was in my regular clothes less than three weeks after having my first son. I went to a retirement party for work and wore a nonmaternity dress that I had in my closet. Who knows if that will happen this time.
I know I am right here with all you ladies in feeling huge! The only clothes that fit me are my one piece pajamas with the butt flap and my super long belly panel maternity jeans. 98% of my shirts are too short and don't even think about wearing some leggings with a long top, the leggings start to slip slowly down my waist and bunch up around my hips >.< underwear fitting properly? Fuhgeddaboudit. But I have fabulous pregnancy boobs so all my bras fit at least! Smh
@anonellis I did the same thing last pregnancy, stretched out a lot of my non-maternity things, thinking I still fit in them. I had the good sense to save those clothes to wear this time around as well so I have avoided wearing and stretching out the new wardrobe I had to buy post-pregnany.
Yes! Someone at lunch today asked "How are you?" and I replied "I'm ginormous."
[Tangent! My Chrome spellchecker didn't catch "ginormous," which I've always assumed is a made-up word, so I just checked Google... Merriam-Webster's counts it as a real word now, and the Oxford English dictionary lists it (but counts it as slang). *English teacher/Ravenclaw nerd tangent over*]

I started out the pregnancy at 200lbs and now I'm 187lbs. I feel huge though. My DH calls me his "little weeble wobble." I feel more like Shamu or Free Willy. Free Willy is funny since the babies name is William lol. On the plus side, my butt looks cute in the maternity jeans.
Yes. I've spent a week and a half in only yoga pants in denial that my maternity pants don't fit anymore... I popped so early I definitely needed them from early on when I got them, and they'll fit through the thighs just fine, but the bump has conquered even the full-panels. I'm thinking I'll grab a pair of leggings or two on sale somewhere and try to make it to the finish line with those, my yoga pants, and the dress that still fits.
I love the Forever 21 leggings. They are like $4 bucks so I don't even care if I stretch them out and ruin them. I have one pair of Jessica Simpson maternity jeans for "fancy occasions", but live in leggings otherwise. All my shirts are crop tops too at this point. Last time I was pregnant it was summer and so much easier to just wear sun dresses everyday. Cold weather pregnancys require so much more $$!
Turning over at night turns into a 10 minute task. I can't just simply rollover. I have to struggle to halfway sit up while grunting the whole way and then flopping on the other side, all while being out of breath. It's pitiful. I've also had to jack my husband's t-shirts since my belly hangs out the bottom of all of mine. I'm officially over it all.
I have the same struggle @kiyamurph. I can only stay laying on one side for so long and between moving my big ol' belly, re-situating all of my pillows and blankets, and finding a new comfortable position not a lot of sleep is happening anymore.
Last night I had the television on in our room and DH asked me to turn the volume down. I was laying on my side and the remote was on my nightstand on the other side. By the time I had gotten to it, he said "sorry...It would've just been easier for me to get up, huh?" Ugh.
YES. I swear I don't even think I was even this giant when I was delivering DD, and this time I am enormous and still have 7 weeks to go until my due date.
I've posted before about being tall. I have the hardest time finding clothes in general, let alone maternity clothes. Any maternity tops that fit a few weeks ago are getting dangerously close to too short. And DH is my size, well my size before baby, so i don't even have his big t shirts to wear around the house. Probably going to be wearing a lot of questionable outfits as this bump gets bigger. If it fits it's going on.
I also did not know that outgrowing maternity clothes might be an option. I bought some maternity leggings at Target because I thought a couple of the tops that I bought at Motherhood Maternity were meant as tunics

I remember outgrowing maternity clothes with DS so when I bought clothes this time, they were purposely too big. They're fitting just right now...hoping they'll last another 10 weeks! The hardest part about turning over at night, for me, is the round ligament pain...holy moly it hurts!!
I'm watching my 600 lb life on TLC right now, and have found that I have similar complaints about mobility as this lady who is 600lbs I even found myself agreeing with her when she was talking about how hard it is to get to work.
@sunshine507 if it makes you feel better I've been in nothing but yoga pants since about the 4 month mark!! Haha!
I truly have the the hardest time getting up and down out of bed and am now in my husbands shirts just to not have something be tight! I'm definitely feeling huge
