Never Have I Ever...

Rules of the game:
In a comment write "Never have I ever __________." This should be a true statement. Something you have actually never done

Use the "LOVE IT" button on someone's comment if this is something you HAVE DONE. So if you've played this as a drinking game, Love It = Take a Drink.

Just wanted to clarify that this was on my Europe trip in college... I'm not an exhibitionist!

  • @SpongeWorthy I was a horrible teenager who gave my parents hell, never went to school, and got caught shoplifting a few times. I never went to jail or anything but there was court mandated group counseling (lots) and probation.

My horrible years were between 12 and 16. After my 16th birthday, I started working, started taking extra courses at the community college to make up for all my lost units, and by the time I graduated I had college credit that counted as AP classes (and towards college units), bolstered my gpa enough so that, paired with a good personal statement I got accepted to a top tier university and got the hell out of LA.
Edited the name of my college out I just got an irrational fear of TB crazies just now!
    This is an awesome story!

cosigning - badass!  But I do sincerely hope my daughter doesn't take me through this kind of journey - I'm not prepared! I'm not prepared!

so curious,@satsumasandlemons are you close with your parents/mom now?
  • Thanks, guys, but I'm terrified for what's to come with my own girls  :s
@caribbeanmama , my dad and I have always had a rocky relationship - we still do. We had a breakthrough recently actually thanks to the vocal racist and nationalist Trump movement and seeing how racist and (japanese) nationalist his own friend was. He's trying not to be such an a$$hole anymore, and our last year has been great... he's really trying hard, lol.
My mom and I are great but I think the language barrier will always prevent us from having one of those relationships other non-Asian people have, lol. Despite her embarrassment over her accent, she always asked questions and continued that conversation with my dean and other community resources whether it's the probation officer, the therapists, etc to find different ways to discipline me :)  but yeah, we're close.

  • @a_wee_bit_terrified how can you have never used bribery? It's as ingrained as lying to get out of trouble. Never told your mom you'd eat your peas to get a cookie? You'd go to bed without fighting after you read "just one more chapter"? I know last night DH and I used bribery against each other, "if you turn off the fan I promise to not turn the light on in the morning"! I giggled as he walked around at 6am with his phone flashlight getting dressed - that alone was worth it.
  • Haha I wasn't trying to call you out I was just shocked. Bribery has been a dear friend of mine.
  • Plus I ain't got cold, hard cash to bribe myself let alone someone else!
