I've had 2 cups of coffee so far this morning. And I will drink more.
With my first pregnancy I asked my OB about my coffee intake - quite a large amount. I live on coffee. He said that for every cup I drank, I needed to drink an equal amount of water. So that is what I do I have repeatedly said you can pry my coffee from my cold dead hands.
I don't know if this is a better Unpopular Opinion...but I roll my eyes so hard every time I see people doing balloon releases. How about you not do something that pollutes our environment and wastes a dwindling natural resource while remembering a loved one. I understand the symbolism, but those balloons come down and end up as more plastic litter

I drink wine and beer while pregnant. Not often and only one glass, of course. But I do drink it on occasion. I also don't watch my caffeine intake and I eat cold deli meat. I'll even eat it from Subway with no regrets. lol... Most of the listeria outbreaks in recent past have been fresh produce, not meat, anyway.

@DoulaTog13 we went to a Christmas market last month and I really wanted some Gluhwein (hot mulled wine it's wonderful). I broke down and got a coffee cup size, I had three drinks before I had to burp and immediately vomited everything in my stomach into a bush.. won't even glance at wine now.
@Nyx oh no!!!! Yeah, I don't do it during first tri because I don't want that to happen!! lol... although, I did have a tiny TINY glass of champagne on Christmas Eve and a couple sips of sangria the day after Christmas. But, the full glass of anything... I wait until I'm not at risk of puking it up. I do NOT want to ruin it for myself. lol

@DoulaTog13 well I figured I'd have half the coffee mug and DH could finish it.. clearly overly optimistic on my part lol
@bumpybump how much is a lot like ball park(if you don't mind my asking)? Because the lady everyone goes to here charges 400$ for 10 images and an hour of studio time and I seriously cannot even process that kind of money on photos.
I am super lucky my twin does photography on the side. The only problem is she lives 4 hours away. My UO is I had no problem paying a lot for wedding pics.

@NYTino24 I am lucky also, as my SIL does newborn photography. I am probably still going to pay her but she has an awesome "watch me grow" package that includes maternity, fresh 48, newborn, 3 month, 6 months, 9 month, and 12 month photos with all copyrights for less than $500!

I don't have a confession today, but I will say this reminded me of Amy Schumer's stand up bit. (A version made it into her movie too.) The women are like, "At night... after my husband goes to bed... I like to stay up and eat ice cream." Oooooo so scandalous!
Right now I'd be that prim chick because I can't think of anything scandalous I've done.
Everything i once was addicted to and some times dream of having makes me sick. Like coffee, and deli meat. But i am having sushi soon... i figured that if it was super bad all kids in asian countries would be dead/have issues right?!
@DeansGirl14 Ha!!! I love that bit. My life is all 50 shades of beige right now, but even the half spicy stuff I keep off the public Internet.
@andressab I've been reading how high quality sushi really isn't as dangerous as once thought. So do your research and just avoid the high mercury fish. I don't think I could stomach raw right now, but I enjoyed the sh*t out of my two cooked rolls last night.

I am avoiding doing my dishes. I have a sink full of dirty dishes and a dishwasher full of clean dishes. This has been the case for 2 days. We are running out of clean dishes for the kids, as well as knives. I am waiting to see if H will do it because he can't handle them sitting there anymore. I am in trouble next week when he travels for work for the entire week.

Don't forget to pick your jaw up off the floor after reading this. And this is only for a newborn session (no milestones). We didn't spend this amount three years ago but it still wasn't cheap. (This is the photographer that can no longer do it)
@NYTino24 we are super picky on photographers. We spent a lot on wedding and newborn. Some would say even our family pictures are pricey (others would say it's a good price).
@DoulaTog13 we were given a couple of recommendations here from the photographer we used in the past. So I'm looking into them. It's probably doubtful you are near us. We are in Iowa and I'm due Aug 3.

@Mango517 We watched 50 Shades of Grey today because it randomly came on. Terrible movie!! (I didn't read the books.) @hupp0013 DH is now doing 5 days worth of dishes. We don't have a dishwasher. I'd totally pay 500$ for a package like that @Knottie63269859 For expensive wedding pictures I don't think that's super unreasonable either because that's a full day and most of an evening of work then hours of editing. But 400$ for a hour of studio time and only 10 images is insane imo. 400$ for a session with only 10 edited images and some unedited images seems more reasonable. @bumpybump I'm 90% sure if I tried to talk DH into spending that much on newborn photos he'd have me committed lol BUT I bet your photos are simply lovely.
@Nxy this was one of my favs from DD's. I covered her watermark because she hasn't announced out that she's not doing newborn anymore. She told me via email today since we were meeting next week.
@NYTino24 I caved and ended up doing them because I had to cook supper. I needed the counter space and couldn't actually leave it like that being so close to them. I would also cry every day if I did not have a dishwasher.
We only had newborn photos taken for DD2. Our neighbor had just moved in next door and was trying to get some more photography clients, so she did ours for free.
I spent 4 hours playing Xbox the other night while I let my husband do dinner and bedtime with my daughter. I wasn't kind and nauseous but mostly I didn't want to deal with life. I haven't played video games in about 7-10 years. I think I'm addicted.
ETA: not really but I honestly want to do nothing at night, which is when I get sickest, except veg. Oh, did I mention I work over night? Bleh.
The minute that second line showed up I started a four part moisturizing process for my entire torso after every shower. I'm still trying to figure out what material I can use as a belly band or tank top to help lock that moisture in as I start to grow.
Basically what I'm saying is that you might stick to my torso if you touch it, that's how gooped up it is.

My hopefully popular opinion and confession is that I wish BMBs would stalk each other's threads to offer advice and support to people who are (seriously) having a rough time or going through some medical issues instead of looking for drama. It's one thing to talk about drivebys and ridiculous nonregular posters (and even better if it's private). It's another thing to openly bash each other. It just looks petty. And trust me I'm used to to it since I have 4 sisters and 3 SIL. Plus I have all my TTGP sisters. We are all for bringing each other back to reality when necessary, but we also stand united with each other when we need to defend against an outsider. I have tons of snarky gifs ready, believe me. But I have tons of love its and virtual hugs to give out, too. /Kumbaya

Is anyone else on here a fan of the Bobby Bones Show? They do a segment called "Wife Confessions" that I love! A while back, a lady called in and confessed that she ran out of regular milk, so she used breast milk to make her husband mac n cheese
@NYTino24 I agree! I'm a FTM, so I use this forum for advice and to figure out exactly what's happening to my body during this new phase of my life. I'm not here to bash others or complain (unless it's about my symptoms ), so I just avoid those threads.
@vannilly I love the Bobby Bones Show. He is hilarious and definitely makes mornings better. I missed that segment though, bummer lol.
My confession is that I think adults who lie and tattle like kids should get written up. I got in trouble at work this week, still new so not sure if they just talk to employees or actually write hem up after a while. I am always in by 8:30 and my boss new that that was my schedule since I take short lunches or work through them. She calls me into her office to say there have been complaints about me coming in at 9, never happens, even the mornings I feel terrible. Meanwhile, all I do at work is training, on my own because they don't have any work for me to do. No one at works knows I'm pregnant or that I've had some serious family issues going on for the last month and it was tempting to tell her but I wasn't ready for her to know anything personal. So now, rather than her be okay with my usual time coming in, I have to be in at 8, or else is basically what she said.
I found out I'm THREE WEEKS farther along than what I thought. (We weren't trying to conceive since our first isn't even 1. We wanted to space them out a bit.) I'm thrilled because I'm almost out of the first trimester! It's like a get out of jail free card or something!
I'm lame and just piggy-backing because I can't think of anything good right now, but I also don't really watch my caffeine much. I'm a sad panda because I can't even stand to smell coffee and I MISS IT. I also took a swig of DH's hard cider last weekend and dreamed about chugging the bottle.
We also spend too much money on newborn pictures. I Iove them, but I think I'm throwing the money into birth photos this time and downgrading the newborn to a cheaper photog.
My only FFFC is that we've decided to homebirh this baby. In my circle of folks here in the south, it's pretty flame-worthy.

As a newborn photographer I love hearing about others investing in quality photos of their little ones! I know some prices can seem out of this world but that typically goes along with experience and the education on safely handling and posing newborns. I've heard horror stories of babies getting hurt during shoots with newbies or aspiring photographers .. and that's terrifying to me! If there's one session to make sure you do your proper research on is the newborn one!
@vamason89 haha so true with the jail free card! Also, a similar thing happened to us after our first. I said wait until she's at least 1 and then almost literally on her 1st birthday I realized I was pregnant with our son. It's actually pretty awesome to have them close in age now. They are best friends & play together a lot- so there will def be great times ahead!
Hmmm, I had a 1/2 a beer on New Years. Tried a new IPA, was hardcore looking forward to it, than it sucked and didn't even taste good so I left the floater. That was my one time this whole dam$ year I was going to cheat and I played my cards so wrong!
Aside from that, I have had cooked mozerella. I'm confused as to if that is ok because it's cooked, but I'm sure it's not because nothing is ever ok. Anyway, that was also a fail "chicken sorrento" ugh, if you haven't tried it don't bother. Could be the hormones but totally gross.
Meant to add, at our hospital there is a photographer who comes in the day before you leave and offers photos for $100-150, includes birth announcements and tons of baby & family pics. It's in the hospital but we brought knitted blankets my MIL made for both kids, put them on them, I brought cute hats / props with my son and they came out awesome. I'm guessing not hospitals have this? Ours is in NJ.
@KyCade3013 the hospitals here do offer some sort of photography session in the hospital but they aren't what we're looking for style wise. Plus, they are way more than $100-$150 here.

@KyCade3013 Thanks! It's nice not to hear horror stories. Our daughter is wonderful. I'm not being a mom here, seriously. She started sleeping through the night at 2 months & is always smiling. I think she accidentally got switched at birth or something. Anyhow, I'm nervous our next one will be the devil!!
