Well I had my 34w appointment yesterday. It went about how I thought it would. I have to do bi-weekly NSTs until the end now and if I haven't gone into labor by 39w they'll induce me. I have a growth ultrasound on Monday to see how big she is. I scheduled out all the rest of my appointments and now I can't look at a calendar without wanting to hyperventilate. I have to either go in early or stay late to make up the missed time at work. On top of that DH doesn't get home until 7pm because it's his busy season now. So I have to pick up DD1, run errands, cook dinner (GD friendly), and get DD1 ready for bed. Im ready to be done. These next few weeks shall suck.
BFP #1: DD born on 08.25.12
BFP #2: 09/08/15 miscarried at 6w
BFP #3: DD2 born on 02.07.17
I had my 35 week check-up today. Had to do the strep B test which wasn't so bad at all considering I can do it myself. Also got an ultrasound which was a nice surprise. H and I both got to see her! She's looking great and measuring one week ahead.
Because it's been a smooth pregnancy so far (knock on wood) , I'll only be going back in 2 weeks at 37 weeks and we'll do weekly appts until my c-section at 39 weeks.

@concreteangell so they had you do the strep B test yourself? I've been wondering about that... My MW clinic has posters in all the bathrooms explaining how to do the test, so I am guessing they also have their patients do it themselves...

Yep! It's easy to do and not very intrusive (only the vaginal one is internal). I would have felt much more uncomfortable had the OB been the one to do it.

How do they have you swab yourself? Like in the bathroom, or they just give you the swab and tube in the room before the Dr comes in? Did @poetryandoceans and @concreteangell have to swab their rectum too? ((Sorry Thursday tickers I know you're probably like shut up already lol ))
@kswiger06 Gave me the swab and tube, sent me to the bathroom. And yes, there is a rectum swab too, which is why the hemorrhoids can create an issue. Trying to work my way around a massive belly and, well, other massive things, made it a pretty awkward experience. By the end of it, I almost would have preferred my MW doing the swab, at least then I would have been able to breathe, rather than hunched over my massive belly.
Different kind of appointment for me today - I had my first prenatal massage! It was great, although it didn't really help my sciatica at all. It still felt great and was super relaxing. I get another one in a week and a half.
@kswiger06 yeah, they send us to the bathroom. I'd be horrified if someone walked in on me in one of the rooms by accident while I was swabbing my rectum

Lol @concreteangell the image of someone walking in while swabbing the rectum sounds funny haha
And @poetryandoceans when you mentioned the hemorrhoids I got bummed. I remember hating the test all due to the rectum swabbing and was really really hoping that part was no longer part of the testing.
I have a feeling my Dr will do the swab, not me, and I very much realize that my body will be on display during labor and delivery, but I still shudder at the thought of someone other than myself or my husband anywhere down there especially the backside. When I'm in pain that's one thing, but the rest of these appointments will be little torcher days for me having someone prodding around down there every week.

That's how I felt about my prenatal massages too. Feels great and relaxing, but still sciatica pain once it's all done.
The ultrasound today went well, at 34.3 she is measuring at 6lbs 9oz. I was sad I didn't get to see the little face though, she was being very stubborn. We went up to try and check out the maternity ward of the hospital I'm delivering at, but they were too busy to just take a walk in. I'll have to call and setup little tour ahead of time.
