  I vote no. They make bank off those ultrasounds and only spend like 15-20 min with you. I did one last pregnancy and paid like $130 for a 20 min session and some print-outs on crappy, curling paper. The lady was very nice, but nothing about the experience left me with a desire to tip... It's not like a tattoo, massage or hair place, where they're putting a great deal of effort into using a unique skill/craft.

  I had a 4D ultrasound done last week and didn't tip her- actually the thought didn't really even cross my mind.

  I've never heard of a mom spa....I also had a 3D/4D ultrasound done last week, but it wasn't nearly that expensive, it was like $70 and she spent about 20 minutes...even though we got some cute pictures, she wasn't happy with them because he was breech and fairly uncooperative and brought us back this week for no extra charge. She also gave us a CD of each visit and some printouts at the second visit. It never crossed my mind to tip either, and now I'm wondering if I should have. Oops

  Thanks, ladies. It was pretty clear the US tech wasn't working for tips.  She wasn't very kind and I felt dumb for asking some questions.  Anyway, got a few pics (before being rushed out!) and it was nice to see images on a big screen!
