Re: Symptoms - 12/26

  • @seangle2005 I just recently started experiencing that pressure as well! It is a very weird and uncomfortable sensation!

  • @serenity13 yes! Acid reflux can also be a big nausea trigger at the end of this journey!  Hope that you can keep it at bay!

  • @serenity13 Is it possible you're eating too much in one sitting? I know that for me, the amount that I can fit in my stomach at any given point is DRAMATICALLY reduced around this point in pregnancy. Your stomach is getting very squished now as the baby grows bigger, so you may have to limit yourself to small amounts spread out through the day.

  • I am getting severe stomach cramps about an hour after eating. It feels like those cramps you get when you have food poisoning or diarrhea, but without the diarrhea. The pain is severe enough that I can barely breath--I just cry. Today it made me throw up. Then after an hour or so, it goes away until I eat again. Is this normal??

Baby is super active, so I'm not worried about her yet. It's been happening for the past three days. I go to the dr first thing tomorrow morning, but hoping for advice in the meantime. Thanks!

Something gas related? I don't know if it means anything is wrong necessarily but it's definitely not all that common. Worth taking to your doctor. Pregnancy can do weird things to your body (examples: my mom developed an allergy to squash and melons during ht second pregnancy that never went away; my good friend had a genetic condition revealed when pregnancy put a strain on her body)

  • Thanks @longliveregina! Definitely talking to the dr in the morning, and lying down with a very light BRATT diet today. I'm hoping it's just a stomach bug that I'll be over soon.
  • @Happyhiker I hope for your sake you are just temporarily sick and not stuck with this for the rest of your pregnancy :(

there are definitely digestive issues third Tri with baby pushing on organs/stomach/bowels... any added gas or full stomach can be very uncomfortable. I've also been feeling like that when I need to have a BM (ugh, glorious pregnancy) borderline nausea, but nothing so painful that it makes me want to cry-that sounds uncommon. Hope your doc can give you some answers!

Major anxiety. I am anxious about everything. Work, nursery, baby shower, labour and after by baby is born etc.. it's awful. I can't seem to get out of the funk mentally. My husband has been awesome but doesn't really know how I've been feeling. I don't even want to talk to anyone about it as I am embarrassed and feel like some of my anxiety seems self inflicted and caused by over thinking

Hey, anxiety is no joke! Whatever it may be caused by is irrelevant- your emotions are valid! The fact that you feel like some of it may be overthinking or self caused seems pretty self aware and mature of you- you just have to try to separate the overthinking from what's really bothering you and face it however you can! You're not alone and your fears are normal :)<3

Like post partum depression, post partum anxiety is a thing....and can start during pregnancy. Please mention it to your husband and doctor. *hugs*

I feel you mama - it's ramped up here too! Like PP said, make sure to keep open communication with your husband and medical provider about it!
ive found the past few days for me it's been brought on more from actually not eating enough! It makes me feel shaking and panicky-so make sure you're eating a lot -also working out / being active helps tons to clear my head. And a good journaling session to get my racing thoughts down on paper.
    again-totally normal! Don't feel discouraged :*
  • I am feeling so tired this pregnancy I'm becoming that stereotypical pregnant woman who misses a ton of work. My son was up all night last night again (2 years--maybe separation anxiety?) and I find I really can't function this morning. Like I don't trust myself to drive. How do people have more than 2 kids, lol!!

  • @longliveregina - I know what you mean! sleep deprivation is real. And all these ladies with heart burn, I feel you. I actually went to the ER last night because I was in so much pain, I thought I was having a heart attack, turns out, my heartburn was so bad it made my esophagus charlie horse. I hope none of you have to experience that, let me tell you, one of the worse pains. My upper middle back hurt, my chest hurt and I was gagging and throwing up.
  • I kept getting woken up last night by heartburn/reflux...I was like a heartbeat away from going and sleeping in my chair in the nursery just to try to get some rest.
I feel like there is always something aching with me anymore-hips, back, feel, ribs. I feel so whiney, but I know it's going to be short lived. Only 2 more months until my due date!

  • Anyone else sweaty under your stomach? What can I do to not be so sweaty under there?  :o
  • @mcdonald-bailey not quite, but I has the boob sweats  :p You could try putting a little baby powder there.
  • @babyspice I'll try that. Thanks.
  • I'm on the heartburn train too.

Also trouble sleeping. Between waking up to pee, trying to get comfortable, and the weird/bad dreams I've been having the past few nights have been rough. I don't know if it's the lack of sleep or just a pregnancy thing, but I've also got moodiness and anxiety going on.

  • insomnia is in full force. I've never been a good sleeper but my body seems to find humor in being wide awake all night and exhausted all day

I'm on all the trains! Insomnia major, hip pain so bad that I can barely walk (DH massaging it seems to be helping), and heartburn every day. Oh and I can't breathe!

    8 more weeks......
  • Holy constipation. Ugh.First time all pregnancy.

  • @EnglishTeacherMama My leaking is only on one side too! It totally freaked me out at first!

@kpknoke That sounds absolutely awful! I'm so sorry you had to go through that!

@babyspice The swoob (sweaty boobs) is so real over here too!

  • Groin pains randomly started.. Like where my legs connect to my body. Moving and walking just feels sore. Also I've still been getting really severe rib pains on my left side only and I noticed a pattern and I'm 90% sure its gas that kills my ribs from the added pressure build up.
  • Hip pain at night is crazy! I've been foam rolling, stretching at the gym and trying everything to combat it. I'm convinced its just hormonal and weight related. The snoogle isn't even comfortable anymore, I've had to layer it with extra pillows like some sort of bizarre pillow fort.

Yep. My midwife told me I need extra iron and o.o the hemis are back!

  • @longliveregina - I'm sure my problem is because I changed my diet in anticipation of changing it for the GD.  More protein, less carbs/sugar, and I think my body may be compensating, but I'll try the iron!  I'm sure that's what the dietitian will say anyway too.

I'm a HUGE fan of Kombucha -- i think its the thing saving me from constipation! Great for digestion/gut health ((Plus so many other health benefits!))
  • @kjd291 - pretty sure they just had Kombucha as an ingredient on Chopped  :D

Iron totally makes you MORE constipated. :/

Unless you're me...and then it has the opposite effect, but not in a good way :-(  The nurse called in colace (stool softener) when she called in iron supplements to the pharmacy for me.  I laughed when she asked if I'd been taking the colace.
  • @babyspice. I had really bad heartburn/reflux/gas issues 3ish years ago and I definitely had DH burp me/ jiggle the burps out. And I wasn't pregnant. Dignity-shmignity.
