Still no period?

It's been almost two years since I've had a period. But I'm not exactly complaining! We're still nursing 4 or more times a day and I'm on the mini pill. When I told my doctor at my yearly check up, he kinda gave me some side eye and took a pregnancy test. Which was obviously negative. But I can't be the only one right?

Re: Still no period?

  • I'm not in the same boat but I've heard of that happening with breastfeeding. I'm on the other end. Had crazy weird periods since I started the mini pill at 4 weeks. It was every few days on and off and then SO got the snip and I've stopped BC since June and my periods were two weeks long with 8-14 days in between. Just now for the first time since LO was born I went three weeks without bleedingIt was fantastic lol.

  • Oh no! I can't imagine dealing with that. Im so sorry! I'm pretty okay not having one right now but it was weird that my doctor thought it strange?  I'm just hoping that when it comes, mine will just go back to how it was before but I know they can change.
  • Not really the same because I'm not breastfeeding and have an iud but I haven't had one other than like 2 months straight of PP bleeding. But for what it's worth, you're not the only one!
  • @Melissa9481 thanks. It could be worse so I'm taking it as it is lol. If it doesn't get better by June I'm talking to my doctor about it lol. Out of three pregnancies this is the first time my period has changed though. After my first it was back to normal by 4 months pp
  • You are not alone. I still haven't had one and I nurse a couple times a day, at least once in the night and to go to bed and wake up. This is not unusual for me, I extended breastfeeding with my older daughter, too. I didn't get my period until she cut out night feedings at 2. (Then I just had one before I got pregnant with my little one!) I was a little weirded out by it but looking back at it, I am grateful that I had such a long break from it. My chiropractor says it is because our hormones are exactly the levels they should be, so that's good news!
