DH decided he wanted to see Star Wars again so he is going at 9pm and I told him to wake me up when he gets home so we can ring in 2017 together, the year our first baby will be born! Then I'll immediately go back to sleep. We might go to a diner for dinner. Most of the restaurants around here have set NYE menus and I'm too picky for that!
Our New Years plans have been canceled. Womp womp. My little mans daycare has hand foot and mouth disease going through it and he has it. We also might have to cancel out on my husbands families Christmas tomorrow. I want to convince them to just come to my house instead during his nap time but we will see.
Renting a movie and then icecream sundays as the ball drops lol. I personally eat icecream a fair amount however my husband is a health nut, so I look forward to this "cheat meal" with him.
DH is working night shift (cop). So we will talk on the phone while he sits in a Parking garage to avoid the bullets from all the idiots who shoot their guns in the air. This is our yearly stressful tradition. I hate it.

Normally I find myself a spot and people watch at whatever restaurant/bar my DH has a gig in for NYE, but I'm just not up for that this year. I liked last year when he had a gig at a First Night even in State College, PA and he was done by 10 so we could toast the new year in pajamas in a hotel room. That's not the case this year, so it looks like tonight I'll be sitting at home while he works since he'll have to play through midnight.
@kahlan82 I hope your husband stays safe. I worry enough about mine just having to drive home with all the people making poor decisions after midnight.
@MrsW524. I know I feel like an old lady. Can everyone just stay at home and off the roads please? Wouldn't staying at home where it's safe be a nice way to celebrate NYE?

Picked up some sparking apple cider and sparkling red grape juice... I will also make some sausage balls as an app (because I've been craving them and DH loves them).
I saw Netflix has a 'fake' NYE for kids so we will check that out for my twins before their bedtime, watch the Clemson/OSU game, and if we make it until midnight... ok, but if not, then off to bed!
Staying home, eating leftovers from the Cheesecake Factory (we went for lunch) and watching a movie. What movies are y'all watching tonight? I need some recommendations!!
We're having tacos and margaritas (man, I miss those things) with DH's cousins and hanging out kid-free. I think I'll probably have to DD for a few other family members. It'll be pretty low key but good food and good company.
Seafood dinner at home with sparking grape juice. DS decided he does not like "bubbly juice" I have work tomorrow so I don't know if I will make it to midnight
@kahlan82 My in-laws do the thing where they shot guns in the air at midnight. And one of them is a cop! It pisses me off so much. I have officially vetoed ever being there on that night. Tell your husband to stay safe! Between drunk drivers and idiots with guns, that had got to be a rough night.
@ellie111227. Wow, glad you stay away from it. My DH has decided that people don't understand gravity. They believe the bullets will just float off into space. Hope your family stays safe.

HFM Is the absolute worst!!!!! I got it from shopping with my sister while her HFM daughter was at home with it on her 4th day. Then my son got it! It was by far the most painful thing and was just miserable!
Good morning and happy new year, ladies! Our party with my parents and in-laws was a surprising success, except we (accidentally) woke DD with all the midnight hoopla and she was so confused she stayed up until 3am, and still got up at 6. So tired.

Good luck, I hope it's a mild case!
