GTKY: Where did you honeymoon?

Where did you take your honeymoon?  If you didn't take a honeymoon, where did you take your favorite vacation?

    H and I went to Turks and Caicos.  It was expensive, but we loved it.

    We did 2 weeks in Disney World, so much fun without children! It was also the first time hubby has ever been on a plane, he was like a little kid!

    we did 2 days in Disney than we went on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean!

    We went to Gulf Shores, AL. We were on a budget being college students, but it was so much fun and beautiful :smiley:

    We ended up having a pre-wedding honeymoon to Oahu a few month before our wedding. We planned the trip before we even got engaged! I had to start a new job right after the wedding anyway, so the timing worked out.

    We went to Breckenridge, CO. It was the first week of November when we were there. Nobody there! Absolutely beautiful.

    @bumpybump we went on a SE Asia cruise last December and Phuket was one of our stops. A neat place!

    We went to Belize. Beautiful first 2 days then the worst flooding/rains they had in 20+years. We were talking about saving up for a honeymoon 2.0 this year, guess it'll be a babymoon. We aren't sure where, but I want a warm beach and frozen virgin daquris.

    2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 
    4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!

    Two weeks in Hawaii- Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island. It was wonderful!!

    We went to Vail, at the end of June, instead of the normal winter time.  DH and I are big outdoorsy people, so it was amazing.  Cave spelunking, zip lines, hiking.. I miss it every single day.  My dream retirement is a log cabin in the Rockies.

    We went to Fiji for 2 weeks. It was so amazing, I can't say enough positive things about the trip. Only down side was the rediculous long flight to get there.

    @ColoradoHiker we talk about retiring in the mountain someday too. 

    @maebee87 Fíji has been on my list since I did a project on it in high school. We looked at it for our honeymoon but decided to go to Thailand instead.

    Costa Rica! We had a destination wedding in Tamarindo (on the beach) and then traveled in land to Arenal to leave wedding guests. We didn't want to honeymoon with family. LOL.

    We went on a four day cruise to Mexico. I had never been on a cruise before, but it was a good deal with a great suite. I enjoyed it immensely!

    We didn't!  But we took a 10 year anniversary/honeymoon to Charleston this past October. Charleston is my soul mate city!

    We spent a week in Riviera Maya/Cancun. We absolutely loved it and plan on going back to the same resort.

    Puerto Vallerta and stayed in an off-the-beaten-path inn. It was sister hotel to a big huge resort down the street, so if we wanted, we could use their private beach, pool, and restaurant. We tried it once, but spent most of our time following locals around to the best taco hole-in-the-wall places and drinking $1 margaritas.

    We never went on a honeymoon due to me starting work two days after our wedding, but went to Punta Cana for our first anniversary/fake honeymoon.

    We didn't honeymoon the traditional way, we ended up packing up our life and moving to Austin Texas where we lived unemployed for a few months and partied. It was a blast! 

    @MrsVP614 my mom and I just did a London/Dublin trip a few months ago and I never wanted to leave!  I'm still pretty certain that my life will wind up in Ireland eventually.

    We went to Maui and Big Island because my husband really wanted to go, but I've been to so many other places that I like better!
