For some reason... we have six 5 oz. Born Free bottles and six 9 oz. bottles... now DD is having 5 oz. feedings and I'm wondering - what's the point of the smaller ones? Pretty soon they'll be useless. Why not have only 9 oz. bottles?
some people think a half full bottle (putting 4oz in an 8oz bottle) will allow air in and give baby more gas. IDK if that is true, but I guess that would be the reason? Also I think they are cuter... DS uses the big ones now and they aren't dainty.
Our son is in daycare and gets EBM bottles and formula bottles. He eats 8oz of EBM a sitting! Even though I'm sure he only gets about 4oz when breast fed. Its a mental thing. DS screams for more after 6oz of a bottle. Weird, huh?
Re: 4/5oz. bottles vs. 8/9oz. bottles?
Same with us. I don't foresee using larger bottles for a long time.
