  • There are also some good Facebook groups for twin moms if you ladies are interested in them
  • @ultratomato can you post links to them?

  • Hey ladies, hope everyone is well.
Just wanted to say I went on a group hospital tour a few weeks ago, at the tour I found out that the hospital requires a preregistration appointment where you meet with an admission nurse and discuss your history and etc. Well at the preregistration I was given the option to have another tour. The tour ended up being the same, but tailored to me since I'm having twins. Just wanted to save you guys the hassle of two tours just in case your hospital is the same. I definitely preferred the preregistration tour since it was only the admission nurse, dh,  myself, oh and my little ones.

  • @WishingforLuck they had us do our tour with the birthing class but thanks for the heads up
  • @WishingforLuck Thanks for the heads up! I'll be switching hospitals soon, so I haven't done anything yet in regards to that. I'll definitely look into it once we switch!

Hi ladies! So we're looking into buying our cribs. What do people recommend? We were thinking of the Stokke Sleepi b/c it takes so little space but the price for two (yikes!) and it only works for up to 6 months so maybe not. The Fawn crib & bassinet is another option. The small bassinet turns into a crib later which I'm thinking is a better option however I can't find any reviews.

All input and insight appreciated :)
  • @JaneJane We're doing full size regular cribs. I haven't yet thought about what to do for the first while when they need to be fed all the time and it's usually easiest/best to have them in moms room. I'm also curious what the other ladies are planning. When I thought we were going to have one at a time I was going to get the pack and play that has the infant napper and use that. I'm pretty sure they make a double infant napper for twins.

  • We are doing two regular cribs. We are going to put one in our bedroom to start and one in the nursery. I also registered for an arms reach regular co sleeper that can sleep more than one baby. I am going to see what they like and which goes better and go with that.

  • We have two cribs set up but we are not using them until they are like 4/5 months and using rock and plays a bassinet and a pack and play
  • @Happydays13 We live in a technically 2 bedroom (third room is the only way out to the fire escape so legally can't count as a bedroom), 4.5 story townhouse! Our bedroom is on the 2nd floor, and what would have been babys room is on the 4.5 floor, so yeah, we're moving before they get here! (hopefully escrow will close on 1/12, plenty of time to get ready for the babies before they come in March)

  • I havent looked at cribs yet but I plan on getting two regular sized cribs, and then either one, twin sized cosleeper or bassinet for the first few months. I like the Halo bassinets, they look so perfect for mid night feedings, but then I remember that there will be TWO and its not gonna be as easy as just reaching over, latching the baby on and going back to sleep; there will be another baby screaming for food too lol.
