Holy smokes, @cafedisco! Is it weird to say that I'm proud of you? It is? Oh well, I'm proud of you. That wood has great rustic character. I had to show DH...hopefully it has inspired him.

I'd love to see the dining table.
I'll take it, weird or not!
I'll try to get a pic of the table in the morning.

@cafedisco I am super impressed! My kitchen island is super ugly. I'm jealous. Haha
So DH's birthday is 12 days after Christmas and he was given everything on his list for Christmas and he never has any opinions on other things he wants, so I'm stuck. I'd like to give him a double photo frame for his desk at work with a wedding pic on one side and an u/s on the other, since he doesn't have much on his desk and we will hopefully get a profile shot at our u/s tomorrow. But that seems more like something I want him to have than something he actually wants and I always feel bad for getting stuff he doesnt want that badly. I wish there was something we could get out and do but I'm unable to do much on this foot and he's such a homebody the only thing he likes to leave the house for is golf, and there's no way I can do that.
I'm not actually fishing for suggestions, I'm mostly lamenting, but if anyone has any, feel free to share.
@HGRich I feel ya... my DH birthday was Dec 16. It's hard to do birthdays and Christmas all within a couple weeks! I don't have any helpful ideas for you... I was not creative this year and did clothes for his birthday and a few small things for Christmas. It would be awesome to be able to gift him something you could do together before baby comes (couples massage, a special meal out?), but I bet he would also appreciate something he could go out and do with his buddies (like the golf stuff) since you're feeling limited with your foot. Good luck! I know it's tough!
We went with things he needed. He got a lot of boxers and white t-shirts, some socks, and jeans. His better gifts were Nike WVU stuff and hunting stuff.
Re: Spinoff GTKY - What are you gifting SO?
I'd love to see the dining table.
