What have you done to prepare for baby this week? We got a few things that we had registered for yesterday, I'll try to put those away today.
Rants/Raves/Questions: none
GTKY: What did you do (or not do) to celebrate the holiday? We started at 7am with breakfast at my parents, lunch at noon at DHs dads, and then dinner at 5 at his moms. It was a long day, I was worn out and ready for bed.
Team Blue, Pink, Green? Green for about 2 more weeks!
Appointments this week? Nope
Symptoms? Nighttime insomnia, shortness of breath, lower back pain
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? I've been reviewing Pinterest to find freezer meal recipes I want to make for postpartum. I know it's still early but I can at least pick recipes, buy non perishable supplies and freezer labels.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I miss home lol! I'm sick, pregnant, out of state with a toddler in a non baby proofed house.... I just want my routine back.
GTKY: What did you do (or not do) to celebrate the holiday? We started our own family tradition of hiking, a huge brunch, and just some down time. Starting next year we plan to do Christmas day at home and not travel for the holidays so we can develop our own traditions.
Symptoms? Ligament pain, sore boobs, insomnia and difficulty sleeping. I can only sleep on my sides at this point, so when I do manage to sleep I'm constantly waking up to roll over bc my side hurt after a while.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? The mattress we're getting for DS should be here by the weekend, so we've arranged for my sister to help rearrange his room and our room since the crib will move into ours for the baby--we don't want to leave the crib in there while DS is transitioning to a bed to make it easier.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: What did you do (or not do) to celebrate the holiday? Christmas morning was just me and DS since DH had to work, so we opened presents and ate cinnamon rolls (family tradition, usually with orange icing but we couldn't find any). Then we watched Pete's Dragon, napped, and then when DH got home we all went to my grandpa's for dinner, which we always do. It was actually pretty mellow, which was very nice lol.
All the house guests have (finally!) left, so I have a bit of time now.
How far along are you? 25 weeks (and 3 days)
Team Blue, Pink, Green? Pink
Appointments this week? Nope
Symptoms? Heartburn. More heartburn. Few BH contractions, I think. Bit of swelling this week as I have been super busy and on my feet all the time.
What have you done to prepare for baby this week? Oh, nothing, really. I just want to get our house on the market and hopefully sold as quickly as possible.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Man, I am so glad to have our house to ourselves again. I can really only handle my ILs for 2-3 days at a time, so a week really tries my patience. I can't stand the way they interact with DD (it's weird and kind of awkward), and I lose the ability to humor my FIL with his rubbish jokes. He thinks he's hilarious. I would generally disagree.
GTKY: What did you do (or not do) to celebrate the holiday? Lots of guests, big meals and such, trips out and about. It was exhausting.
