Re: TGIF Christmas edition
Otherwise my ILS are coming to town tomorrow, MIL is brining everything to make a prime rib dinner and told me I don't have to do a thing. I'm really hoping to be at the hospital though because I'm so ready not to be pregnant!
well have Christmas morning with DS and then go see some friends mid morning if I'm up for it.
christmas dinner is just us with the tenderloin from dhs deer
the 26th we have a doula check in and my parents coming for dinner
Tonight involves tylenol, fluids, and homemade chicken noodle soup. I'm hoping to be on the mend by tomorrow because the plan is to bring some winter boots to H's sister who is homeless and then later go to my parents house for wings and a xmas eve service at their church.
Sunday we will go to our church in the morning and then spend the day as a family to rest, watch movies and play with DD's gifts together. I'm really excited because we got her a kidkraft kitchen and I think she's going to love it!
Tomorrow we'll go to church, and then no real plans on Sunday..just relaxing I guess. My mom is going to make a lasagna for our meal.
Xmas eve we are doing our personal family Xmas but my parents are in town and will join us for breakfast. I'll try not to over do it... and we will watch Polar Express in the pm... we make a big bed on the floor and all cuddle up. Have hot chocolate of course. My dh and I will watch A Christmas Story after kids are in bed.
Christmas Day will be church and then going to my parents for dinner (prime rib) which they are cooking! Thanks goodness!
Then Ill have this baby?
Due December 27th with baby #7
Christmas Eve my ILs are coming with 2 of my SILs and 2 future BILs. MIL is doing ALL of the cooking! DH is excited to have his Puerto Rican Christmas. A few friends are coming, too, because they are family. And my family may make an appearance. I sure hope so because not only is it Ben's first Christmas Eve, it's his first Hanukkah.
Christmas Day is at my parents house. I swear to God if my cousin is sick she had better stay away from the baby. This is the same cousin with all the drama with her husband (now ex). She mentioned not feeling well on Facebook, so mama bear mode has been activated. My dad is making ham and leg of lamb and lots of other yummy stuff. I can't wait!
TTC since 6/13

SURPRISE! BFP 3/8/18
Today, Christmas eve, we will do some cooking, present wrapping and just have a family day. This evening we'll make hot chocolate, the children will get to open a present (new pj's - a tradition), we'll make reindeer food and drive around to look at Christmas lights. Then DH and I will have drinks, put toys together and set up Santa/Christmas
Christmas day will be all celebrating, relaxing, cooking, eating and family time - my sister will come over, we'll Skype with my parents/FIL and just enjoy the day :-D
Today: hang out at home all day. Little brother will probably come hang out with us part of the day. Around lunch I need to start cleaning and cooking cuz we are hosting dinner tonight. 7 adults, 2.5 yo, and newby. Before my parents leave we will probably change into our cheesy matching pj's and have my mom take a picture. 2.5yo and DH get to open a present tonight.
Tomorrow: morning at our house will be just my little family. Get up, presents, big breakfast. DD is getting a bike and typically in AZ that means riding it after lunch...but we are actually expecting snow! So...Probably no bike ride. After DD's nap we will go to my parents for the bigger family presents/dinner.
Monday: I'm counting it since it's the federal holiday so my family is off work. My mom is going to kidnap both kids and force us to go see star wars with my older brother if he's feeling ok. Otherwise DH still wants to go. I'm unsure of leaving my then 3 weeks old baby. I'm sure it'll be a nice break.
Tomorrow: We are going to my parents for lasagna. This is actually a big deal because my mom (who is Italian) used to make a lasagna every Christmas Eve when I was a kid in lieu of Feast of the Seven Fishes (she hates fish). Once she was diagnosed with schizophrenia, she stopped making it. Stopped cooking, really. So today marks 10 YEARS since she made it. Not sure what prompted her to want to make it this year, or if it will be the same as I remember. But it's special for me because it's like a glimpse of my old mom.
I also am making Nutella Pie. Ash, DH, and I will open presents in the morning and have ham biscuits for breakfast.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus, Happy Winter Solstice, everyone. Love you all.

I guess the good news is they will start let me walking around mid day tomorrow (at the earliest), and I might be able to go home Wednesday.
boo for feeling like poop on Christmas ! And why do DH's sleep so hard?! I remember after my c/s, I couldn't get out of bed either, and relying on DH to hear baby was maddening. I would have to throw things at him to wake him up.
Just remember, it's only one Christmas, it's temporary and things will look brighter as you heal.
