Congrats to any BFPs out there and hugs to those who need it.
One plus week into our break and I am feeling fabulous. Oh how I missed wine! I started my new Jillian Michael's workout DVD last night and, honestly, I am surprised I'm able to walk this morning.
QOTW: My favorite Christmas movie is a Muppet Christmas Carol, and favorite song is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'- Judy Garland version, as well as Kenny G version.
QOTW: What is your favorite holiday song or movie? As a little girl it was the grinch that stole Christmas. Now that I'm older... I really like Christmas with the Kranks.
I had a cycle with provera, and 23 days later I started a cycle on my own. That cycle my temps were rock steady and then began to fluctuate before I lost my thermometer (DANG IT) so I don't have all the data. This cycle, I've only gotten 2 temperatures and they're not steady. I hope I have another cycle on my own, and that my thyroid medicine helped me, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hi all! QOTW: My favorite Christmas movie is Alistair Sim's A Christmas Carol and my favorite song is O Holy Night. Right now I am in my tww but I've decided that I'm not going to obsess so I can enjoy the holidays. My husband's sperm count is on 1/2. Hopefully we will finally get some answers!
Hello! Nothing much to report. I expect AF shortly.
QOTW My favorite holiday movie is "Love, Actually," and my current favorite holiday song is "Fairytale of New York," even though it's wildly inappropriate, or "Do You Hear What I Hear?"
QOTW: nothing, I really can't stand christmas music and not much for some of the dumb movies out there....going to a private school kind of ruined me for Christmas music as far as having to do those awful concerts and whatnot..
Not much to report here either...not doing anything this cycle as I am in the process of trying to get an appointment for a new RE office. I'm really upset about having to switch AGAIN, but if it helps me get somewhere then I guess its worth it instead of wasting money on stuff that is not doing anything like they wanted me to.
QOTW: My favorite Christmas movie is Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas and Iove Christmas music but I think my fav is Home for the Holidays by the Carpenters.
I don't have much to report. We are taking a cycle off from treatment and meds then assuming we don't get KU on our own we will move on to IVF next cycle. It's given me a chance to catch my breath and learn as much as I can before diving in to IVF head first.
History and blog link in spoiler
2016 - dx with super low ovarian reserve; failed cycle with clomid, failed IUI, 2017 - egg retrieval #1 - 3 eggs, 0 embryos appropriate for transfer; ER #2 2 eggs, 0 embryos on day 3; ER #3 1 egg 0 embryos moved to donor egg in summer 2017; 35 eggs retrieved; 19 fertilized; 9 total embryos Fresh transfer Dec 2017= BFP! baby boy born 8/22/18
May 2019 - surprise natural pregnancy ended in MC Nov 2019 FET; MC at 9 weeks May 2020 FET; BFN July 2020 FET; CP treated with methotrexate Oct 2020 BFP!
Some good news: by some Christmas miracle, my current cycle is longer than usual - looks like 30 days instead of 28. I've taken a couple of HPTs - both BFNs - but the length of this cycle means I'm now projected to ovulate when my clinic is open and performing IUIs.
I am thrilled - I mean, there's a risk that I might ovulate early, but if that happens, we will just BD without IUI. This will be my first time on clomid; my RE didn't want me to take without an IUI, because he wanted the extra 7% chance per course, or whatever. I'll take it!
I love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and White Christmas (movie and song).
Good luck to everyone this cycle, and Merry Christmas!
I'm just waiting on AF but now I need her to stay away until Dec 23 at least. We went in yesterday because she is MIA but our RE tells me all signs point to AF showing up on its own. At this moment we've decided to hold off on testing our embryos because of the cost in addition to a few other factors. Part of me is terrified because of my higher chance of miscarriage but if it's meant to be I just need to trust it will happen. This entire process is not for the weak, we are all rockstars and badasses.
@hoffmanr7 happy you are enjoying your break! Drink all the wine!!
@kaitlink33 sorry to hear you have to switch doctors. If it gets you what you want the hassle will be worth it!

As for me, midst of FW and I woke up at 3am with a sore throat and a BBT of either 98 (high for me) or 105. I may need a new thermometer, lol. Any idea how long they last? Drinking all the tea today and hoping this cold goes away asap!
Favorite holiday movie is definfely Mickeys Christmas Carol. I tear up every time. Song is still Baby it's Cold Outside, despite the creepy undertones if you actually listen to the lyrics...
I'm CD 4. I tested Saturday morning-BFN and started AF on Sunday. The plus is the progesterone did lengthen my LP to 12 days up from 9 so that's a definite plus. We are not doing a medicated cycle this time due to traveling and the holidays.
QOTW: What is your favorite holiday song or movie My favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas but unconventionally my mom and I have a tradition of watching Little Women every Christmas even though its not completely a Christmas movie. I love most Bing Crosby and Julie Andrews Christmas songs.

@MandyBeeSLP My friend and I watch Little Women together every Christmas! Glad there are more of us out there. We invited a bunch of people to join us this year. Such a good movie!
Hey guys enjoying just trying on our own takes the stress out of always being at the Dr but also dissapointed after the two week wait.
I'm on cycle day 16 I believe I ovulated according to my cm and bbt on day 13. We bd on CD 9 11 12 and 13 was supposed to last night but I worked late and fell asleep. Going to try and do tonight as well. Glad the holiday is here to make the tww go by faster.
My favorite movie as a kid was Rudolph now its Elf!!!
Hi all - first time reporting here...And perfect timing. I did my third IUI today, have 4 eggs and DH's sperm count was x3 what it was last time around. I believe the quitting the drinking is having major impact. Not only he looks much better but his health is obviously showing improvement.
I spent all day today laying just in case the swimmers don't fall. I feel silly thinking they will fall off? I plan on having a mellow day working from home tomorrow as well, not sure if that will help, but I don't know what else to do to make it happen.
I am feeling some major cramping, no idea what it means or if it means anything at all, but feeling possitive. Maybe the three wise king will bring a BFP...wouldn't that be nice? Talking about xmas miracles....
If anyone has any tips about what to do after IUI, I would love to hear your experience. I can't find much info or experiences around this, but I see many of you going through something similar. I am all ears
Happy holidays everyone.

@Spaniard (I'm a TTTC graduate) When we did our iui that landed us preggers, I literally did nothing special. We were going to the beach that day, so I sat in the car for 5 hours after the procedure while hubby drove, but when we got to the beach I went swimming and did everything I normally would do at the beach. I had some cramping that day and the next coupled with some serious discharge (which I attribute to the fact that I finally ovulated). I hope this cycle is the cycle for you!

CD #1 today. Just in time for Christmas, yippee. Time to go pick up my higher dose of letrozole (not feeling confident that this is even worth the try).
@smokinangel My favourite Christmas song is also Baby it's cold outside, although I hate that it's regarded as an anti-feminist pro-rape song now. I prefer to think she's being coy and actually wants to stay but hey, what do I know.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here! May we all have the strength we need to get through the holidays and may 2017 be OUR year!!

CD4/Day 2 of Clomid. I have a follicular ultrasound scheduled for 12/30, which is a Christmas miracle: my work is closed that day so no having to make up hours!
I am slightly excited that our IUI will be in the New Year. I am very excited that our favorite brunch place by the hospital is open on New Year's Day, so in case it's a quick turnaround like last time we tried, I get brunch too.
QOTW: Not a huge fan of Christmas music as an adult. Still love the Nutcracker Suite, though.
/clt2pwm11, thank you very much for the advice and sharing the experience, much appreciated. Congrats in your success, I hope you are enjoying pregnancy (I can't wait). I am having a lot of resting hoping it will help...but I will go to the beach today .
BenJey - how many days will you do clomid? I usually do 5 from CD5 to CD9...but I see you already started? Best of luck with the process, I think 2017 will be our year!

@Spaniard - That's what my infertility RN said, CD3 thru CD7. I wonder if that has anything to do with average cycle length - mine's 29 days. Are you longer?
Here's hoping my 20th cycle of "trying"/2nd IUI is the one. I hope 2017 is our year!
BenJay - my cycle is 30 days and both my doctor and pharmacists told me to take the pills cd5-cd9... interesting differences here. I will ask the Doc next time around.

We are on our 3rd month of doing nothing, other than BD in FW. RE was miffed that my OB never agreed to do Clomid (even though I asked several times). We were too late in the cycle this month to start clomid, but next cycle we will do clomid + IUI but move right on to IVF if that doesn't work. The RE said we have a 1% chance trying on our own and only 8% with clomid/IUI, not very exciting odds.
I'm still struggling with my attitude surrounding TTC, but thankfully have a lot of other stuff to focus on right now.

Hey, y'all! It's been nice taking a break from thinking so much about TTC but I miss you guys! We *think* I had my period 3 weeks after my miscarriage...I hadn't bled for a week and it lasted about 4 days, so they think that was it! If so, I'd be on CD10 now and I'm definitely feeling my ovaries today! We're not timing or forcing anything, just letting things happen naturally. I'd love to get pregnant again this soon but it also scares me! I'm not sure I'm there yet, emotionally. But I like the idea of just letting things happen naturally the next few cycles and we will see where we are then! I admit, the thought of needing some pregnancy tests in a couple weeks is exciting love to you all!
@Worldtravler0522 LOVE what you said! Pardon my French, but this shit is hard! But we can do hard things. Merry Christmas and love to you all, thank you for sharing your strength!
