R/R: Posting early today since I'm already at work. Ugh, it's way too early. And its technically a vacation day, but I'm going to use it on Tuesday instead. Had to drop DH off at work for his 5am shift so I can pick him up afterwards and go straight to the airport and not leave cars all over the city. We leave tonight to go back home to see my family! I have to admit that I'm a little anxious about seeing the whole family on Christmas. **TW** It will be the first time I'll be back since our loss. I anticipate I will have things to add to the "Did you really just say that!?" thread soon... **end TW** But it is our first time back since we moved away 2 years ago.

CS/Q: Not much here yet.

GTKY: stolen from the TWW yesterday... what did you get DH/SO for the holidays? DH typically gets himself something. So I kind of feel like a terrible person for not thinking specially of him. But this year he got himself a new sound system for the living room. His birthday is in a few weeks, so I usually get him a surprise/special present then instead.

@Starla I have an aunt who ALWAYS says something cringeworthy. So it's almost guaranteed. But at least she's been through a loss herself (but never a take-home baby), so maybe she'll be more understanding? Maybe.

@Starla it is a spin bike for your home that had a big screen that connects you to live classes and a library of like 4000 pre-recorded rides. It also tracks your output, HR, how well you are doing compared to the rest of the class and compared to yourself in previous rides etc...

GTKY: DH loves port and when we used to live in California we would go to napa and there was a winery that only did port. He loves their stuff so I got him a membership, and the first bottle just arrived!

I didn’t post anywhere yesterday because I was in that weird space where AF hadn’t fully started yet but obviously wasn’t going to test because I was spotting and my temp has been down for a few days

WAYDTGKU: back at it now….BBT, OPKs, PNVs, magnesium, green tea, limiting alcohol and caffeine, not sure if I’ll be actively checking CM and CP yet based on the recommendation from the RE to only use OPKs

R/R: The only good thing about CD1 is that I can see it coming because my temp has been dropping the past several days. Now I just have to decide exactly how much I’m going to do based on what the RE recommended. This reminds me, I need to call today to schedule the HSG. Thankfully AF is generally pretty short and light and should be out by the end of the weekend or so.

CS/Q: nope, no points on it yet, slept like crap and wasn’t a point in temping since I already knew AF was coming

GTKY: I got him a weather station and a book compiled of pictures of one of his favorite bands, Pantera.

@icecubeinthedesert yes DH is a wrestling coach and still wrestles each year in a tournament for all ages. He's just a big kid at ❤️. I'm still trying to learn the ropes, I feel so confused when I watch bc I never know what counts and what doesn't.

@ChefRamsay The nice thing about simple men is it really doesn't take much to make them happy! DHs absolute favorite band is Metallica!!! I know they are playing at a festival in Columbus in May, I would really love for him to go because there are so many of his top bands that will be there. Also, here's the book. The pictures are really amazing and I think (hope) he'll really love it!

@icecubeinthedesert I hope people are sensitive to you! I understand your fears though. I live overseas and although my loss happened back in the summer, this is the first time I'm seeing most people since we "came out of the loss closet" and I'm a bit nervous. So far the few people we have seen haven't really said anything about it.

R/R: I did last minute Christmas shopping this year because I was holding out on being able to get "grandparent themed" gifts. It made the pressure of last minute shopping so much worse. I almost cried at a cash register checking out. I felt so dumb.

@jillibean0871 I've been around wrestling since I was in the womb, so I've always loved it. I even have family videos when I was two years old doing a double leg takedown on grandma on my dad's command.

CS/Q: my chart looks like Bart Simpson's hair. I've had a bunch of holiday dinners and have been drinking wine which gives me a temp spike and the. It always comes right back down. I swear my wonfos are getting darker so it's possible I am just o'ing late. Time will tell.

R/R: The guy who sits two desks behind me at work barfed at his desk yesterday. It was super gross and now I am nervous I am going to catch a stomach virus for the holidays! Rave: It's Friday and my work phone is quiet today.

CS/Q: Welp, 2nd day in a row I didn't temp. Today it was because DH got up at the buttcrack of dawn, let the dog out, and then got in the shower without calling her back in. I woke up to her yapping outside at 530am and him blissfully unaware, in the shower...grr....so I had to run outside in my pj's and call her in. No temping.

WAYDTGKU: all the things...and now waiting to see what my temps do.

R/R: It is going to be a very quiet day at work today, so I pretty much plan on not doing a damn thing. Also, pretty sure yesterday was O, and that evening I ended up getting some pretty gnarly cramps that only lasted for about an hour. That has never really happened to me before, so I was a little freaked out.

CS/Q: Like I said before, pretty sure yesterday was O. Had a small rise today (.2 degrees), so I guess I just have to wait and see what happens. Too bad I am slightly impatient...

GTKY: stolen from the TWW yesterday... what did you get DH/SO for the holidays? DH despises shopping for clothes, so I usually end up using Christmas as a time to get him all the clothing he needs but won't get for himself. So this year he gets two pairs of jeans and some shirts.

I know my body well enough to be suspicious of a lack of o pain. I guess that's good for something?

R/R: hi!!! I've stalked you guys since I went off my BCP in August and learned a ton that I would not have known otherwise (ie charting) so thank you! Rave for it being Friday and holiday weekend. We're rallying at work for the boss to close early, we'll see what happens. Rant that I've been super tired and crampy last 3 days, waaay more than usual.

CS/Q: How do wondfo's compare to FRER OPK's? I switched to wondfo this month, had matching lines yesterday and today the test is darker than the control. Usually that happens on O day for me on FRER. Is it the same for wondfo?

In my experience I ovulate 36 hours after my first afternoon positive with a Wondfo. That is, I get the positive on Monday afternoon (for example), and my BBT will show I ovulated on Wednesday. It's different for everyone, but you should have the same pattern no matter what test you use. FRER doesn't give you an earlier positive. In fact, I haven't heard of a FRER test, is that the First Response OPK? It should have the same threshold for positive as a Wondfo.
