Re: WTF Wednesday 10/21

  • Ok so this isn't that bad just got me frustrated already at what was so early in the morning. Made oatmeal for ds and me. Dh had the last cinnamon rolls I made. Ds refused to eat both then half hour/hour later proceeded to have multiple fits with hitting me and the dog because he wanted candy since he was hungry. So by 7:30 in the morning he had multiple times out and I was yelling already. I need a glass of wine.

  • My WTF Wednesday goes to my family. For making complex holiday plans, drama and their 'it's their way or the highway' plan making!! Why don't I get to have an opinion in anything?! Everyone else gets an opinion, but I get told what's happening. And when I say it doesn't work, I'm being dramatic and they don't change the plans anyway because then it won't work for my sister. Umm okay. I see who you want to celebrate with.
  • My WTF Wednesday goes, sadly, to myself. I just got into a super-minor (both cars got slight scrapes) car accident that was totally my fault (I had a brain fart and pressed gas instead of brakes) and now I'm on a hormonal shame spiral - I'm actually usually a very good driver, but what if I someday have an accident with baby in the car??? I also forgot to water my poinsettias and they died, so really not feeling super confident in my motherly skills today.

I killed an air plant once. For real. And an orchid died on me within 8 hours. My 18 month old human is doing alright, though. You made me laugh, and I hear ya - but you'll be a great mom!
  • My wtf goes to my kids. I took them to a diner for lunch today as a treat, and they both barely ate anything, kept speaking at an ungodly loud decibel even though I kept reminding them to lower their voices, they were bickering over crayons, it was just so annoying and unlike them. Then the older one told me he felt sick so I decided to rush home even though I had a thousand errands to run today.

Now they're watching TV and complaining that they're bored. Dare I take them out and risk another public vom fest from DS1 like he did last Saturday or do I waste the day away at home....

Y'all. DH is sick. Yesterday he went to the doctor and it's just a cold. I am stupid nauseous and lucky to keep down 1 meal a day. Guess who is up and taking care of DS and our forever long to do list today while the other sleeps. FML.
Girl. I feel this so. hard.

DH came home early from work today, I shit you not, because he has a runny nose and a headache. He dropped his stuff at the front door and crawled immediately into bed. Under the covers. In his work clothes. I JUST washed the sheets Monday.

Meanwhile, like you, I have been battling nausea for the past 4 weeks, along with an intense headache due to, among other things, lack of food, low blood sugar, exhaustion, and caffeine withdrawal (coffee makes me puke). So yeah, I'm taking care of the toddler and the house and the Christmas shopping and everyfuckingthing else, running on about 100 calories. WTF man flu!!!!! I hate you!!!
  • My husband has had such an attitude lately, all I've heard is "please stop", "shhhhh", shut up", and when I ask for help with watching my son for like 5 minutes so I can go throw or God forbid, take a shower, oh, well that's just asking waaaay too much. Or I mention how Id like to breastfeed again this time, but instead of pumping, Id like to use a silicone suction collection cup. And he goes "great, I have to deal with that again?" YOU? Did you just say YOU have to deal with that again? Does 30 dollars for formula every few days sound good to you? "Just drop it", "Shut up".... And he wonders WHY I am being a bitch? And tried to make me apologize for being such a bitch this morning, when he didn't really do anything to help get our son ready to go see santa, but kept asking "are you ready yet?"repeatedly, and I can't even count how many times. He asked how he could help, but there was a specific outfit that I wanted, and I didn't want our room being torn apart from him looking for it, maybe he thinks clothes fold themselves. I didn't apologize. He hates photos, and I only have like one photo of him with my son and I, in the hospital with Carson as a newborn, and he doesn't see how that is a problem. Why cant you just take a family photo with santa? Hmmmm. Why am I being such a bitch?

And then some idiot thought it would be a great idea to slow way the fuck down on the icy/snowy highway with out slightly pulling to the shoulder before turning, and our windshield cleaning fluid wasn't working, so husband didn't see the car until he had to slam on the breaks, so the seat belt tightened right where baby is, and now the cramps. Soo, yeah. WTF?

All of this. I forgot to feed my dogs their lunch yesterday (one has some health issues that requires smaller meals, so yes, they get lunch!) and all I could think was "great parenting!" Good thing babies cry!

@carsonsmommy0913 - I hate all that for you!! Hopefully he'll chill out a bit and call the eff down. And hopefully he rests up for all the breastfeeding coming his way (eye roll). Haha
  • @lvcpatt84 I tooootally feel you about your DH. Also I am so glad someone can relate to the "just washed sheets" thing. I can't stand when DH gets in bed or even lays ON the bed with his jeans/work clothes on. Like this is our clean bed and you sat on public transportation in those clothes. EW.
  • @carsonsmommy0913 he sounds like he's being very cranky.

  • @kat0607 I use to work nights and dh would put ds to bed in the clothes he wore to daycare. It drove me nuts.
  • I teach and there's 2 more days until break!!! These kids are anxious!! Everything makes me say "wtf".....in my head lol
  • @sdang1 That is my life right now too.
  • my WTF is my body right now. I'm pretty sure I'm coming down with a cold, and of course it's right before the holidays because why wouldn't I have a horrible cold over Christmas! Especially when I would want to avoid meds as much as possible (usually I drug myself up when I'm sick but being pregnant makes me nervous lol). And I still have a full day tomorrow of sick patients to see plus Friday. I can't wait for my vacation next week...
