For real though, my hips have been killing me lately. Been trying to get more comfortable sleeping with pillows but man it's only helping a little... anyone have any stretches or some other advice on how to help with this pain? (Normally I'd pop the ibuprofen but obviously that's out!)
Isn't there supposed to be some relief from this kind of pain with the relaxin lol?
I've had a killer sinus headache since Sunday. I live in the southeast and this week's cold front caused our temperatures to fluctuate 40 degrees in two days so my sinuses are killing me. I am not prone to headaches, so this is new for me. No matter what I do or how much tylenol I take, I cannot get rid of it. I discussed it with my doctor at my appointment yesterday and she said she could prescribe some additional medication if need be. I would like to avoid taking anything that isn't absolutely necessary, but I think i am nearing my breaking point.
Anyone have any remedies to deal with this? I'm trying to drink a ton of water, rest my eyes when I can, etc. Not sure what else to do.
@oheliza44 I'm in the same boat! Had my blood work done the other day and you could tell I had some things I was trying to fight off based on the results. Stupid sinuses! My doctor gave me a list of meds that are safe and include a sudafed + acetaminophen component that I was taking before I got pregnant that almost always worked for me. I'll try to look it up when I get home and post it for you.
My sense of smell is out of control. DH told me I turn into a bloodhound when I'm pregnant because everything smells. Our poor puppy is driving me crazy because she stinks and I can't handle it but no one else thinks she does. And I'm 99% positive something is rotting in MIL's fridge but I don't know enough about what food is in there and who it belongs to in order to clean it out and it makes me want to throw up every time someone opens it.

9 weeks 6 days and I vomited for the first time last night in the middle of the night, twice! I had Chinese for dinner and I really don't think baby liked it. Feeling better tonight!
10 weeks 6 days. I've been getting sharp pains along the right side of my lower abdomen/ groin. They don't last but they have been happening a lot today. Usually when I am sitting or standing and not moving. Has anyone else had these? I'm getting worried.

My doctor said thats round ligament pain, but I've had it since week 5! Now that I'm12 weeks the pain seems much sharper and radiates much farther... Actually it feels like a vice!
Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'
@GlitterFish thanks! I've had it a few times before but today it is very sharp! Hopefully it is just round ligament pain, I just thought that came later I guess. A vice is a great way to describe it!
10+5 today. Nausea is "better", but still pretty bad. I literally don't know why I'm crying sometimes. I pee NONSTOP. Fatigue feels worst this week - last night I slept for 11 hours and then I took an hour long nap today!
TTC #1: 4/16 BFP #1: 5/16 MMC at 8 weeks: 6/16 BFP #2: 10/16 Sweet baby boy arrived 7/7/17!
Super nose still in effect. Nausea was going away but it returned with a vengence. I'm a vet tech so when I walked into the clinic this morning, I went straight to the restroom to puke.
@mrs35 I also seem to be experiencing more RLP this week as well. The sharp pains concern me but they always go away if I switch position or rest the area. I've felt it on both sides of my abdomen as well as the groin area too. I'm glad others are experiencing this!! I had an appointment today and forgot to bring it up with my doctor. I am 12 weeks tomorrow.
We went to see a movie Sunday night and I had to pee FOUR times. Oooooh the bloating, peeing, and general feeling of exhaustion! I don't remember feeling this tired the first time...maybe it's the 3 year old
No new symptoms this week still just the morning sickness (mostly evening for me though) and fatigue, I am pretty ready to feel like a human being again soon haha
@mrs35 I'm getting those pains too! I assumed it was RLP but I'll check with my ob tomorrow at my appointment.
My nausea is getting better and better, thankfully, though the heartburn isn't going anywhere. I'm happy I'll be able to enjoy some food during the holidays though because my thanksgiving meal was crackers and ginger ale - what a difference a month makes! My boobs still hurt. I thought they were getting better but i'm getting random stabby boob pains again.

@mrs35 Me too with the pains. They scare me sometimes, and I've been getting them since like 6 weeks. I'm guessing it can't be anything troublesome since me and baby are still here. They tend to get better when I move, but if I sleep wrong I can end up with an achy pelvis all day Oh let me count the ways this pregnancy is currently screwing up my physical well being. I felt great this weekend, so when I went to buy groceries on Monday I bought stuff I normally buy (which admittedly takes some prep time) and then half way through the grocery store I got "hit by a tractor trailer" tired, and haven't recovered. I was dry heaving into the sink this morning, which my cat wouldn't stop jumping up into, hoping for a drink. I've had headaches, still can't really drink water the way I need to, am hungry but too tired to do anything about it, hate everyone, everywhere, and generally wish that I could get fed intravenously and never leave my bed so I never have to talk to anyone. I am not looking forward to this holiday. I am not prepared, and I'm just way to stressed about it. I love that I'm having a baby, but I am so sick of feeling this way. Oh and the blumping occasionally makes me look 5 months pregnant, even though my uterus is still in my pelvis, so I'm real excited for everyone at Christmas to be all up on my belly and I feel like everyone will be looking for a bump that isn't even real yet. Plus, at this point I just feel super fat. 11 weeks tomorrow, that second trimester cannot come fast enough. Sorry for the negativity, I just had a really rough day

@kerils hang in there, girl. Second trimester is right around the corner. I feel your pain on the obnoxious pet front. Since I got my BFP, my dogs insist on being right next to me every second of the day. Two weeks ago all three of us (me, one 70lbs lab, and one 25lbs terrier) had our heads in the same toilet bowl when I was puking my brains out. I was too nauseated to care. DH couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous we looked.
@oheliza44 Sudafed/sudafed-12 hour/sudafed PE psuedophedrine are all on the "safe list" from my doctor. (That last one is one i take) Unless you have high blood pressure. There are some others on the list as well for other cold/allergy relief
So far, I've lucked out on morning sickness/nausea. I've vomited a few time mainly because of something I ate not sitting right or overeating. I am exhausted, my boobs hurt and being constipated have been my only constant pregnancy symptoms. My boobs didn't hurt as much yesterday and it freaked me out.
The only reason I am remotely looking forward to the holidays is because we are finally announcing to our families. I can't wait to stop keeping this secret; I've called my mom so many times over the past month and then catch myself before she answers that she doesn't know!
@ThePecks & @oheliza44 : I swear by neti pots. I get horrible spring allergies and the neti pot has helped alleviate the symptoms and I've found it works really well with weather change sinus headaches, too.
I started getting dizzy, with my first two I'm not sure if it was low BP or low BS but one of them caused me too feel wierd and I had to eat. The only reason I would think it was low BP is when I was induced and my BP bottomed I felt this way.
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but although I can eat the food just fine once it's all together and on my plate, I was having a really hard time cooking it today. I kept gagging. I turned on the exhaust over my oven and it actually helped a lot. Hopefully that can help someone else.

I think I read somewhere (Bump App?) that this and headaches are because baby is using the extra blood starting around 12 weeks.

I'm sorry but this made me giggle - I could SO see my dog doing that. And my husband standing there laughing.

I read that too. I can't remember when it started the other two pregnancis but I want to say it was after my A/S. So it can way early this time, I'm asking my OB after my ultrasound today. I don't know if I need to eat more or what, I've been eating healthy and not so many sweets. Which is hard bc I have a major sweet tooth.
Baby using extra blood causing it does make sense tho.
Well, I'm 10+3 threw up for the first time this morning. The nausea has been increasingly present, but I still hadn't actually been sick. Not a happy camper right now. Trying to drink ginger ale and slowly eat saltines. UGH!!

I'm sorry if this was talked about further up, but does anyone have suggestions to ease a headache without taking anything? Tylenol is on the safe list my doctor gave me, but I really want to try and avoid taking it if possible. I usually I would use essential oils if I wanted more natural relief, but I know those are questionable during pregnancy too.

I asked my doctor this and she said just take the tylenol! haha
ETA: My mom said try cool washcloths. I doubt this would work though - it certainly doesn't take the place of migraine meds!!

Hi there! I came here to say almost the same thing. I'm 10+1 and it had been only mild nausea / fatigue until this point, plus anxiety over lack of more symptoms lol. However yesterday afternoon things went south with severe nausea culminating in aggressive vomiting at night. Today is slightly better but I'm barely functioning.
@mj8215 I'm so sorry you're experiencing this too!! Today has been... brutal. Finding ANYTHING to eat has been almost impossible so I gave up trying to be healthy and am now eating Haagen-Das raspberry sorbet (straight from the container because, why bowls?) #noshame I think I need to remember to not let my stomach get too empty and to eat a few saltines first thing before I get out of bed. Hoping that will help me tomorrow, but we shall see! I hope we both start to feel better soon!!

@kat0607 the only thing that gave me relief was a shower last week. I aimed the shower head on the back of my neck. I think it also helped since it's relaxing. Also someone recommended magnesium? Haven't tried it yet but I'm planning on picking some up since Tylenol hasn't been working.
@kat0607 - sometimes a warm bath/shower helps my headaches. Obviously I know you can't soak for hours in a hot bath. But even just 10 minutes or so helps. I've been taking Tylenol, but that doesn't do much for me. It just kind of dulls the pain for a bit and then it comes back.
Anyone else miss ibuprofen and Excedrin WAY more than alcohol and the other things you're avoiding? I would have killed for Excedrin today.
Ditto on the headaches, and I've also been having back aches too. I wish I could take ibuprofen... it's all I ever take because Tylenol doesn't work for me, my body just doesn't respond to acetaminophen.
I did talk to my OB today about my dizziness this morning and he said it was definitely low blood sugar. I just have to make sure I'm not going too long without eating and I need to eat several snack in between meals.
Ugh @Pepper16 I'm sorry you've had another tough day!! Hope you'll feel better tomorrow. my day today was a slight improvement so I'm cautiously optimistic. First trimester is almost over, hang in there
@kat0607 Just wanted to say ditto on a shower/warm bath to help with the headaches. If you have time for a prenatal massage, it's worth every penny IMO and could help with any stress that might be contributing to the headaches.
WTF - I'm 12+5, and had to pull over this morning to throw up on the way to work. I haven't had any m/s! I'm hoping it was just some random thing and not a stomach bug or worse. It really just snuck up on me too, I wasn't feeling bad until it was basically already coming up (which is unusual when I throw up, usually I've got some warning). I've not really been feeling bad since then either, so weird and random.
@ThePecks maybe it was just something you ate or a sudden smell or something. On Monday I didn't end up throwing up, but one minute I was fine, and the next I was dry heaving into the sink. It was random. I have had m/s off and on (haven't vomited at this point, but lots of gagging and nausea) but it never hit like that.
So no one need ever feel stupid for calling their doctor. I did because my pelvis was just aching today, especially when I stood up for awhile, and it felt different than any other pain I've had, so I was worried about it. I just got off the phone with the nicest nurse who basically said to me in what was the nicest way ever that I was being stupid and as long as it's just pelvic pain, I'm fine. She was so nice about it, but I still feel so silly. Couch rest for me the rest of the day, because every time I start walking around it starts hurting. Anyone else feel like your baby is trying to make you lazy? I feel the most energized and least m/s that I've felt since, well, almost since I got the BFP and I still can't clean my house or accomplish what I need to because now my freaking hips hurt every time I walk.

@kerils could be, haven't eaten anything new lately, on the other hand I've also noticed that since my stomach is starting to push up into my ribs that it doesn't take much food for me to accidentally hit it and feel like I need to throw up due to being full.
Also, that RLP/pelvic pain is for the birds - it's so random and hits you at the most odd times! So yeah, I'm definitely not as active as I was before partly because I don't feel like it and partly because I'm paranoid I'll hurt me/baby!
