MIL. Ugh. Just the thought of her gives me nausea and anxiety. She wore a white dress to my wedding. And caused SO much drama bc my mom bought DS's crib and she wanted to. She's the most narcissistic person I know and I'm already dreading telling her that we are pregnant with a second.
@kristenk727 do we have the same mother in law? I could have written your post! Hang in there girl!
my TW is my principal at my school. I sent a student to the office as he hit another student. (It's an ongoing thing). And he was 'too busy' to deal with it so told my student to play with an IPad at the back of the room until he calms down. The other kids were pissed and the student learned that inappropriate behaviour is rewarded. Rant over.
My MIL... We told her about our pregnancy and she was very excited. We told her she could not tell ANYONE yet until we were ready. Then what does she do? This last Sunday she just decided to make our pregnancy announcement to our church. Neither of us were even there because we were out of town! We found out she did it when we started getting a lot of messages from people. Hubby was very angry with her, and now Christmas is going to be REALLY awkward.
Ugh, I am so ready for break...but we don't start until 1:30 on Friday. Kids at our school frequently miss weeks or even months of school for vacations to their homelands. My principal said not to worry about catching a kid up when she just came back after 2.5 months. Uh, hello? You do realize that math skills build on prerequisites? If you missed them then you can't progress! And I am asked why I have so many kids failing... maybe because there are 4 who missed tons of school, several are late every day or leave early without consequence, and some leave class for three periods a week and never make up work.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@Feliciosity & @kristenk727 sorry for the MIL's! I am currently sitting on the fence whether to tell my in law's this Christmas. My MIL is not good at keeping secrets AT ALL!
So many teachers!! @maebee87 I would be SO mad --that isn't disciplining a student at all! Mine were bad today too. I sent one to the principal for hitting another student into a locker. Come on weekend!!!!
@maebee87@mborn24 hey teacher here too! Today my students went on a 20 minute rant/mini mob(in middle of class) about how it is "unfair" that I took points off for spelling on their LITERATURE test! Are you kidding me??
